Undoubtedly Perodua have been adhering to their tagline "Building Cars People First" all this while but not until the introduction of this second gen new Axia. Previously safety will not be compromised and make available for all variants at least with basic ASA and 4 airbags in latest model. However, Perodua's marketing is now making the customers to tick off the most expensive AV Axia by reserving all the safety features for this variant, what a shame in puting the customer in a situation to choose between life safety or money saving. Agree with Hafriz on the fact that G variant is purely exist to let Perodua claim the starting price below 40k, if only Perodua is generous enough to make X variant to start at 38.9k.
Review paling detail.. paling memuaskan, & terbaik setakat ini, pros & cons semua masuk. Sgt2 membantu. Apa2 pun terpulang pada keperluan, kemampuan kita. Semua kereta/motor pun akan ada kekurangan & kelebihan, bkn semua boleh penuhi kehendak setiap org. kalau ade bajet lebih pegi pada model lain, to be honest axia kedua ni sudah ckup memuaskan, . Smoga dipermudahkan & dipercepatkan urusan sy. . My 2nd car . Axia SE. 👉❤️❤️😂😂
this Axia really bad pricing, interior looks good, but leg room just feels same like the old one. The biggest mistake Perodua make is still old 1.0L engine and 2 air bags for cheaper model. at least P2 give buyer a 1.3L myvi engine for AV, 6 airbags for all models and better rims please. (Not this cheap looking 14-inch rim).
Then no point for Perodua to sell the Myvi if they put the 1.3 in the Axia. And for the rims itself, most buyers tend to go aftermarket. For the airbags, yes, I'll agree with you, they should've given all models with 6 airbags.
@@patrickgillespie9423 yup. people need to understand, manufacturer need to put their car in segmentation. axia for a segment, myvi for b segment. put 1.3L into axia will make it overlap with myvi and will hurts myvi sales so much.
Don't forget overall saga is also better. 1.3 engine, right hand handling, the interior, the size, the tyre 15" , I can go on. I bought my new Premium Saga in 2020 and its only 39,800 lol. The new Axia is just ridiculous 🙄
But still when we look at features. Axia is still good. But in terms of space saga with affordable compared to bezza although axia same price with bezza hahaha
Axia has come a long way from being a really basic car that everybody jokes about to a class leading in it’s segment. Excited for the next gen Myvi and Kudos to perodua 👏🏻
the bench at the back really is short compared to others. it is supposed to make it look like it has a lot of space. thigh support is not good for passengers.
For a full spec Axia Advance 1.0 RM51k, you get the same interior as a Toyota Agya GR Sport, minus the paddle shifter and a 1.2 engine. And Agya is priced around RM70k in Indonesia. Axia is actually quite ok.
Axia now is competing with myvi. Saga will now have only one competitor, the Bezza. Despite that, it is a well upgraded model. Especially Se and Av. Couldn't agree more the fact that the X and G variants are just pointless when you can get premium Saga or Bezza instead. Especially for a starting family. Marhaen will look for those or used old axia or myvi instead.
First time ive seen this guy. The whole review is very articulate and comprehensive, as should any car review be. Probably could do with a little more character and 'attitude'. Even the videography could do with more creative touches. But overall a well written review, keep up the good work!
tiap kali ada insert/roller shot masa showcasing the driving experience, daun dekat front lower grill tu somehow lagi menarik dari kereta aha. anyhow, superb review as always 🤘🏼
11:43 The touch unlock is not better than button type. The button is more tactile especially when you want to use the two touch/press to unlock all door.
second that, having one car with the touch unlock like that would be disaster during rain, the button will auto unlock the car after you locked the car. damn annoying.
For me, quality no issue. But the price segmentation is wrong. It no longer affordable for some people. Perodua no longer considered making cheap cars. People may opt for Saga. Gomen also should interfere.
new car has their pros n cons.. so do used car.. so just buy what u think its worth it.. older car will always have parts wear n tear and also the condition of the car.. some previous owner may had trashed the car and then u will bear the cost of replacing the parts.. new car will have a better peace of mind as everything is new and it will be covered in warranty if anything goes wrong
@@faizalnordin3172 2 airbags for axia, low spec myvi 1.3L give min 4 airbags, alloy wheel spare tyre (not cut cost expensive Axia give steel), even the meter rpm also need to cut cost?? Why no just use myvi/ ativa analog meter??? Why still cheap looking reflector halogen headlight (last generation min projector halogen)??? Indonesia can offer 1.2L New engine, P2 should at least offer all variants with 1.3L 4 cylinders engine. Then Axia shows value for money. Next generation bezza can predict become more expensive +20k, will probably starting 50k to 70k?!!! New vios from 90k!!!
@@kc-channel471 this is what happen when u have no competitor. perodua giving the bare minimum since the consumers have no other choice for an A-Segment Hatchback. for bezza, we have the Saga. hence, they can jack up the price and give terrible value for money features. i mean come on, EVEN THE USB PORT ??? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR JUST 1 CHARGING PORT ??? I hope this Axia 2nd gen will flop
Frankly I prefer the older design, something I don’t say for the other line of cars offered by Perodua. The new Alza refresh is really gorgeous, this one just looks like a modern Proton Tiara. That being said, the new turbo I3 is spicy and it warms my heart we’re going back to our rempit roots with the Viva/Kancil turbo of the old days. You’re right about the price though. It’s no longer the kereta Rahmah for the masses.
Modern 3 cylinder car with turbo are meant for the movement of 10 years requirement for scrap. That's what Malaysia is heading to improve its internal economy. People just don't see that. It's a commercial gimmick that will burn holes in the pocket.
The biggest problem with the ativa is the engine vibration not at idle but when moving, the engine vibrates so much at low rpm that the dashboard rattles so much. I'm not surprised if it's the same as the axia and I wish car reviewers would call perodua out on this more. Perodua wants to charge more but for every step forward, there is a step backwards.
I hate the keyless and ofcourse that wobble on the gear area Speaker is subpar to my ears Already testdrove this lastmonth and it's on my channel Gotta say, pretty disappointing for the price and went for Iriz Standard instead 1300cc and 4cyl engine aswell as key knob for base variant is my go to choice Ofcourse way shorter waiting period is my target for the same price
I've ordered this car on January The 1st thing that I'm going to change on the car back then were the tyre or the wheels all together Becoz perodua used to have silverstone back then , but toyo buy out silverstone and shut down silverstone, with toyo come as standard Maybe I'll change the wheel after 3 years Now I can focus on the sound dampening 1st Maybe I could change the steering wheel to the AV wheel
the thing is, people who bought axia in the past instead of myvi is because it's cheap, not because it's an AXIA or how it looks, how did it perform or anything else.. now it's no longer cheap let's see if the market is still there compared to the myvi..
This new Axia honestly is just stepping stone and groundwork for future Bezza. Larger cabin, wider wheelbase, angled C-pillar. Not to mention, bigger price tag. They really dont want to sell this Axia.
why the car came with spare wheels all around? hahaha p2 said nobody use the rear demister and removed it entirely but contradict with latest Alza why they still give demister? so only the Alza n Ativa owner use the feature? bs excuse. Just because it's not often use doesn't mean it is not useful at all.
1:19 nobody is mentioning this sick beat? Been banging my head to this music since i watched this video last week. Check out the music Better- Bel Ami (instrumental)
im sad for young Malaysians entering the work market that they have to spend such money on such a car. my first car in 2009 was helped by my dad, a 1995 Nissan that cost 14k.. i upgraded in 2014 to a used Kia for 55k, now im able to get a prmium continental, yet I've nvr spent more than 10% of my salary on a car. if the gomen opened up the car market more Malaysians would not lose their lives in unsafe local cars and have affordable access to global safe mini cars. very sad. only umw and a few shareholders benefit from proton and perodua monopoly
Saya prefer keep the name of Axia sebab baru kita nampak progress dari Axia to new Axia to Future Axia and so on, mcm kereta2 toyota or honda kita nampak progress sesebuah kereta, mcm old corolla to the new current corolla, imagine macam mana lah future Myvi kan, day by day silap2 next future Axia features will be sama macam Polo but the price will be more cheaper, then Myvi will be like golf, but kita tak tahu when, maybe 5 gen of Axia 5 gen of Myvi, but im sure we will be there… actually it is good because semua feature2 ni will be a benchmark untuk market kereta Malaysia, so lepasni Honda ke Toyota ke kena la bagi digital meter untuk kereta paling low spec yang diorang ada dan dalam masa perodua rival proton kena up market punya feature2 jugak dan ia akan memberi kebaikan untuk automotive negera tapi kenapa la perodua kedekut sgt nak bagi arm rest even myvi pun, kalau beli arm rest dkt luar tak sama kalau perodua bagi and original attach dengan kereta, kalau nak kata about cost im pretty sure perodua still in profit and it is a vast production will low the cost untuk arm rest
It’s never about the name. Who cares what the cars are named. “The name wouldn’t make the car, and if it is a bad car, the name won’t save it.” - Carroll Shelby.
I don't agree that most people will buy this over the last version even it's higher in price. With same engine size, much louder transmission sound,, even with a lot of upgrades, 2022 axia still better overall than 2023 axia, since it's cheaper.
Abang Paultan , boleh tak buat content Axia naik genting 5 orang dalam kereta. Nak lihat kemampuan maksimum Axia setakat mana boleh di paksa kereta ni.
D-CVT max torque is 150nm. Those who bought this new Axia would know that they can slap a turbo on it and give it the power of an Ativa, it’ll become a pocket rocket
Usually new buyers who replaced the original wheels to bigger wheels will give-up in 2 years time when they've found out their car torque power loss getting worse.
11:05 ah yes the typical malaysian mentality. That being said, I saw a small exhaust cutout, so sport muffler wouldn't look awkward and I always appreciate the bigger wheel arches so the car have somewhat decent proportions. Unlike the persona vvt tiny wheels to thicc body ratio.
Tak tahu la apa stratergi Perodua Axia, adakah dipasarkan ke global sampai semua safety featurers diletakkan.. Faham gunakan DNGA, wheel base pun dah seperti B segmen.
.. (imho) summary: The entry level G and Advanced are the best buys. Advanced? For those who want something fully loaded and more premium, that they intend to keep for long, either as a primary or secondary/shared/family car. The X is not bad, but the SE spec grade above is not recommend. This 2203 Axia is more for comfort, spaciousness and economical driving. Get the 1.3 4Auto 👍 BeZZa for performance.. and get that before the new gen with D-CVT (likely) and higher price is released next year or so 😊 The Axia boxy design at some angles, will not be for everyone, and the lower back bumper design gives it a fat unappealing look. Price increase is unavoidable at this point for P2 IMO, considering outside factors and the lower ringgit, and that D-CVT - save up for higher cost of repairs/replace if keeping long term. Have been driving the 2023 Axia AV fairly often the last two months. My brother got it to replace his previous gen Axia, so Im familiar with both. I also still own my 2017 Auto BeZZa 1.3x, but one that has modified brakes, suspension, rims+tyres, and the full set of UR stability bars.
Another bad news for the younger generations. A roof over one's head in Malaysia is seriously unaffordable and now owning a car is beyond the affordability of many. Perodua should continue to keep Axia as the entry level car.
In your honest opinion, is it worth it to get Axia AV in that price range when there are other cars with the same range such as Iriz Executive and Myvi 1.3G? well of course excluding the segment difference. I’m in dilemma right now 😂
Personally for me, I'd take the Myvi or Iriz. This Axia's rear passenger comfort is still a level below those. The recline angle is still a little too upright. Others are more relaxed and thus more comfortable. Worse, Axia can only fold the entire bench while others can split fold 60:40. This can be annoying when you got 2 other passengers and need to fold rear seats when you're out shopping. Also, the others have 1.5 and 1.6 L engine options. On highways, they'll have more power to maintain highway speed, it makes for a more relaxed cruise. So if the budget permits, I'd go for Myvi 1.5 X or Iriz 1.6. the Iriz has higher fuel consumption though it handles the best and makes you feel most confident and safe to drive.
yeah , it makes like they knew they target market for, they want the customer to buy the highest variant av instead like se. tbh upgraded speaker no worth it, it really need amp. and with the price getting higher i really thought we gonna get new engine for axia but we not. it make people think twice if they gonna buy AV variant axia , bcs the price hover at same level as myvi even bezza with 1.3l engine.
Proton should upgrade saga n price the car slightly lower than this new Axis maybe 47+++ to 48+++ for top variant premium x, then buyer will think many2 time b4 buy this new Axia,
Hi Paul, I am from Indonesia. I'd like to buy the tonneau cover, as it is not provided as standard in Indonesia. can you direct me to where I can purchase one?
untuk High Speed Stability pula Axia lama tak best kecuali memandu dalam bandar.Kalau saya masuk lebuhraya i try to maintain kelajuan 80KM/H dan maximum 100KM/H shj.....rasa macam sampan bunyi angin kuat........
you can replace myvi with KYB RS ultra suspension and add on bars, then you may get slightly similar solid ride. OEM suspension absorber just too soft. Perodua can consider just upgrade all model with KYB RS Ultra suspension, you get a better ride and handling. Perodua should just throw away the useless Start Stop function, bcos end up user need to buy a by-pass for it!! P2 claimed 20km/L is not achievable in town jam driving, most is 11-13km/L...
not everyone likes a stiff ride. Suspension settings in Malaysia is already stiffer than standards in all other Asean countries... just because some ppl like stiff stiff sporty sporty feel.
everyone will have different fuel consumption.. since we all have different style of driving, traffics.. me n my sis has the same ativa AV, but i only achieve 11-14km/l and my sis got 15-16km/l i have a heavy foot so thats that and my sister cruise on highway then in heavy traffic at the last few km to reach home..
The new Myvi will be much expensive than the current one 😅 for sure in the 70-80k range soon enough and because of DNGA as well (shared platforms should be cheaper even when jumping/changing from previous platform) Perodua kinda scam too nowadays, same like AA dy😅
Honestly, I don't like D-Cvt transmission. That CVT belt easily gets Snap when it's overheated. Especially when underpowered engine struggling to pull(Fwd) full passengers and its big chassis. I would prefer Manual or Traditional Automatic because they are Gears instead of belt. Yes, I know D-CVT have gears as well, but to make sure the Gears spining, it requires CVT to spin it.
