@Micah Sattler i CAN shift gears. I actually have never driven an automatic. Boy do i want one. I got nothing to prove. Just a touch of the ol Arthur in my clutch foot. 😅
Yeah the marketing plans working then. I work in a farm related job with customers who get Chemical reps turn up on site while I'm there. They are generally all female under 30 and cute looking. one of my customers talks about it and why sometimes. I said yeah I've seen your daughter who does the same job. she'd make me want to buy chemical every time she turned up and I don't have a use for it L.O.L
as a young man who got a CDL earlier this year, and cant even find a job with it because i aint old enough to drink, yeah, i kinda want to learn twin stick shiftin, looks like fun to me
@@Matthewirelandke I drive a manual car, truck, and motorcycle. I was just in a traffic jam last night on 71 in Kentucky for about 45 minutes. I get by.
Get over it. It’s the new industry standard. People act like shifting gears is some difficult feat that separates the “real truckers” from the “steering wheel holders”. It’s a joke. I’m a 40 year old truck driver that’s been surrounded by this industry for 35 years. I was taught how to shift these trucks when I was 9. It’s not that serious and doesn’t take a lot of skill to figure it out. I’m way less concerned about someone’s ability to shift a truck than I am about their ability to back in difficult situations. Backing is way more important than shifting.

Accesible hoses and electrical till theres a car in the way, the driver dnt wanna unload it cause hes in a hurry and u need to get to something in that hatch
I will sue Peterbilt Motors Company, if they don’t continue building the 389 for the years to come. For those who think the 379 and the 389 is a legacy that should never die. We the people !!!!
2024 is the last year of the 389. But you should look at the new 2025 589. And obviously the 24 model is made in 23 so next year the 25 will be available, there are already some on the ground.
That paccar engine and automatic transmission are for the birds, back in the day they were just send it off to a glider shop and stick a sixty series or cummins in there. But now the government wants to check our hands
