Please forgive me if this is unwanted, but the pronounciation of Tomoe river paper is 'tow-mow-ayy.' I always enjoy honest discussions about what didn't work. Thanks for sharing!
I use stamps in my Hobonichi literally every day (I ordered a custom set made for me with my personal check-in and grounding prompts). The secret is blotting paper. It’s like magic.
Ok I didn't understand the issue with the ink until I tried using the ink pad and while the colour is stunning I totally see what you mean about the drying time. It easily took 5-10 minutes for everything to become dry enough to turn the page so you're super note alone. I don't get any ghosting and the colours are stunning so I still entertain it sometimes. Great vid as always 🥰
I use stamps in all kinds of paper and never had the problems you mentioned. Stamping is time consuming, but I like it because I can use it many times, while I can use stickers many times. For ink, I prefer regular office ink. It comes in less colors, but I find that those are less juicy. If an inkpad is very wet (I had those), you can stamp first on a blotting paper or a scrap of paper, and then in your planner.
I ONLY use VersaMagic Multi-Surface Chalk Ink or a Tombow marker on the stamp surface in my Hobonichi planners - and if they're extra wet I will stamp on a scrap paper first, then use stamp in my planner. Like you, I don't have patience for the individual letters, etc. I mostly stamp mood faces & symbols in my planner.
I bought a pack of 200 labels (100 sheets- 2 labels per sheet) and one similar pack of 100 labels (50 sheets) and I went through it in a year. I print images to use to decorate notebooks, blank gift bags, cards (greeting, birthday, holiday), stickers for planner and journals, and probably other things I can’t think of in the moment lol. I love sticker paper!!!
I discovered your video and enjoying watching them very much. We are all guilty of this type of purchases. I do like my TN and plan on using it in 2024. I am interested in getting the zippered insert if you care to part from any of the TN related items let me know. Thanks! Happy 2024.
You are a gem! Thank you for the shoutout Sis, and for saving me time and money, lol! I bought stamps and inks and still haven't used them yet. I find them so intimidating. As for the traveller notebook, I love my Moterm one, but struggle to find a pocket-size calendar. Which one are you using in your TN? Great video :)
You're welcome! I'm not 😂. That's what I was saying in my video! It's not for me...I'm not of fan TNs. Been there, done that! 🤣 I actually just sold it to a viewer.
This may be unwanted advice, but have you thought about giving away or reselling the items that you regret buying? This way it won't seem as if you are hoarding things just because you didn't like/use them. Also, I appreciate that you seem to have caught yourself making some definitive statements at the beginning of this video saying you regretted buying these things, so for us not to waste our money on them and that we wouldn't like stamps if we bought them (I don't use stamps). What doesn't work for us might work for others.
I've already sold the camel TN passport cover since this video aired, to a viewer. If you're interested in anything that you've seen in my video, please email me at planyour1lifeclient@gmail.com
I can use the Versa inks in the TR paper without issue, there is some shadowing depending on the color I use, but I can use any stamp without issue (so far). I'm sorry it did not work for you.
Thank you for this video. My biggest problems with my 2023 stationery were over buying planners and colored gel pens. I had to buy double of them and they ended up sitting in my shelf. I am starting my stationery shop my stash and project pans just to utilize and get some use of them in the year of 2024. I hope there will be more videos like project pan or shop my stash videos on you tube to share.
One thing I would do with the versa magic was I would dab the pads onto the stamp rather than push the stamps onto the pad. This really helped to not make it so juicy. @@PlanYourOneLife
I love stamps but, will not be buying them in 2024, because I have so many and need to use them. Please do a video on your fountain pen and pen ink regrets, if you have any!
I don’t use that paper. But I bought some stamps and I enjoy them very much. I have tried stamping with tombows, posca pens and ink. The tombows are easy to stamp with and it dries fast, but it is not as easy with bigger stamps. The posca pens work but sometimes they come out too inky and I had versa ink but like you said it takes forever to dry and mine did not close well. So glad I bought them on Amazon so I could return them. I purchased the shachiata ink pads but have not received them yet. I kind of regret buying so many sticky notes especially since I downsized from a5 to a6 and most of the notes are too big for a6 size. 😅 I also kind of regret buying so many pens and pencils instead of buying one or two brass ones but they will get used.
Can you cut your sticky notes in half? Maybe not a full stack of them...but if you take ten or more off of the top, then cut them in half. They should be an easier and smaller for you to be able to use in your A6 planner.
@@PlanYourOneLife I was thinking that the other day. I feel like I would need to cut them in half or fours. Then maybe you a glue runner or the pieces that don’t have a sticky side. But then I will have so much more 😓😂. I will never need to buy sticky notes.
I really appreciate these videos. Cat from PLANNING CALM made a similar one that I loved as well. I regret buying the Aura Estelle planner as well. Too much hype for such a disappointing product. waste of money
