So you guys are allowing the outside of Vancouver Island again? What an incredible disappointment. I can't think of any way that this formerly interesting race could be more effectively ruined than allowing a bunch of carbon fiber offshore sleds to win every year.
Ugh. Get over it. For the first five years almost all racers going inside finished faster than last year's winners who went outside. Plus every year it's the same: a handful of fancy boats duking it out in the first week, regardless of outside or inside, then they finish and we all watch the slow pokes for the following weeks. At least now the race might attract more boats, and therefore more money, which helps keep it going. And everyone still has to figure out how to make it in and out of Bella Bella. But hell, just the struggle in the Vic inner Harbor and the last mile of KTN is enough to keep it real for everyone.
I would say this gives me a warm feeling... but it's just me wetting myself in fear. And yes, as someone notes below, you did forget "logs". Lots and lots of logs. Logs as far as the eye cannot see. L-O-G-S. Logs. 🪵🪵🪵🪵
