i own one in Oz. Love it. Have started tinkering with mechanic jobs that i wouldn't dare do on other bikes. I mean i've always checked chain tension, tyre pressure, oil and washed my bikes.... but on this one i've pulled wheels off, changed tyres, changed exhaust, changed the oil, changed the handle bars , adjusted tappets , changed brake pads and added a fuel X lite... great bike to tinker with... and it rides easier than any other 250 - 500cc bike i've owned (10 or 11 other bikes)... 8000km love it...

Great review Nick, they are great little machines, I have just completed a 4400 mile trip across Portugal and Spain over 8 weeks and the little 411 was the perfect companion (mine is a Himalayan, although it’s pretty much the same To be fair), just great little machines, it also averaged 85mpg across 30 fill ups!,keep em coming Nick

It's really fun to see how much your presentation and editing skills have improved since I started subbing to you Nick. And really fun how you just love those small bikes for what they're worth. But I do miss Jodies solo adventures. Hope they'll be back in the future. Maybe have her make a similar video?

Thank you Paul. You've been here through thick and thin. Your support is really appreciated. We have a video coming Wednesday where Jo gives her himmy a service! Perhaps the solo adventures will return. I don't think Jo likes the way our roads get in the winter so I'm not sure that will be soon. We will have to see 👀

Great review! Every clock fogs up on every bike I've had. At 5'8, 80kg this bike fits really nice. Mine will be delivered in 3 days! Im taking the day off work to ride the back gravel roads on the West Coast around Raglan, NZ. I will try repositioning the mirrors under the bars like I did on my Harley 883.

Thanks nick for an informative ride n chat, I'm currently considering either the himalayan, the scram or maybe even a little hunter. The final decision may come down to how good a deal i can secure but i find all three bikes attractive to my needs, with a slight lean more to the him or scram due to the awful roads.
@nicksepisode

Hunter is more fun but less comfortable Himmy is better for longer trips Scram is the best for fun and distance

Great bike, nice gloves, good review. I like the Scram. During the '80s, I did four southern European trips from GB on an XT500, so a 411 is enough. I'd rather have a rev counter than the trip nav thing.

Hey Nick superb videos I’m a new subscriber and I feel I found someone who i can relate with. I too couldn’t give a f**k about rpm or any of that. Just real world experience and this is bang on. I have also had lots of different bikes and I sold a himi thinking I wanted more power. I’ve had a tenere 700, transalp and now looking for a himi again. As you say real world speeds and when we are all looking to save cashola they are perfect. I’ve grown up now and don’t care about speed (they’re trying to slow us down anyways) so I’m on the hunt. Waiting for the gen 2 price

I own the same color Scram here in India Completed 16,000kms . And the engine gets smother once you complete 10K. I fixed the navigation only for the reliable clock. The navigation is total crap. The halogen old school...... gives a better light throw in inclement weather conditions. Never faced issue with the instrumtation fogging during use in the rains. I got the main stand fitted as a after market accessory since it helps especially during service or you get a flat suggest you get one fitted if you are not into serious off roading.

Sold my 2022 KTM 390 Adv after 900 miles and picked up a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 last month. I love it! Even though I prefer classic looking bikes, I was seduced by all of the tech on the KTM. In the end it just always felt frantic. It just wanted to be reved constantly and wasn’t happy below 6000 rpm. I agree with you. The RE is better looking, has so much more character and is a joy to ride.

Looks like the nice clock didn't have the same time as the speedo which would drive me nuts. Lovely bike though which will last forever and for which spares will always be available even if they do have to be imported. Just the sort of bike that will be needed as we descend into Cuban motoring, sadly petrol bikes can't have long l left now.

@nicksepisode
@nicksepisode 8 месяцев назад
The nc is a great bike and I'd own another one again. The himalayan is great but the nc750x filled that gap where you could take it on bigger roads. The himmys are perfect for us currently as we don't go on highways. The new 450 himmy is another story and from what I've been reading it could also feel that gap.. Good time to be a biker for sure

Even before watching this clip, there's a premonition ( I am dyslectic, so spelling is not my strongest side...) - you are zerroed on changing these bikes, pretty definitely 🤔🤔.....And after watching, I am still convinced, that you are, pretty soon, going to replace BOTH Enfields.... You see - we are used to the comments you make about bikes, while having them.... Bikes in your posession, are, almost ALWAYS - THE BEST to own ❗❗🤣🤣 ..... till you suddenly change them, an THEN explain - how ..... / boooorrrring, or whatever they were..... 🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♂ So - looking forward......

@njepisodes I'm stock or original. Drummer also so, juggling toys of retirement( trying to keep up). I believe 72 is the all around for B roads or secondary roads. Don't know with consideration to mostly off road as far as mpg. Are you making pumpkin pie? LoL Starting to chill down in Vegas. December, January, and February is for the Rock stars. ( to cold to ride under 55 degrees. ( 13 celsius). We never see rain here, Nick, let alone the snow, sleet, and hail. Desert dust is aplenty and Blast Furnace effect in July and August. WTH were they thinking putting a city in the middle of the 🏜 desert! Cheers!

@volt8684
@volt8684 8 месяцев назад
Hi both, £4500 buys a pretty good 2nd hand Jap machine. When I have tested this it’s not necessarily the top speed but lack of oomph for me. When the new one comes out I think these will fall in value as I believe a lot of owners will want the extra bit of poke. However remaining with air cooling is attractive if off roading or dropping. I think they are great bikes but so many better ones. Hope RE don’t get greedy with pricing which seems to be all manufacturers end up doing. Hyundai and kia cars are an example they were fab value but now almost premium. I have v strom650 and if this had 70 bhp I would be interested s I feel 70bhp is my own sweet spot for satisfaction. My biggest criticism is a pair of copycat triumph twin clocks would be so more attractive. Great vlog thanks. So many vloggers on RE now gotta say something.
