Mine is K23 K is November but its marked 23 So is it technically a 2022 model manufactured in November of 22? Also my certificate of origin has it listed as January 18th, 2023. I think im good.

Not sure about the validity of this. @neekanthony I recently purchased the same Sea Doo 2023 GTX 230 IBR with a manufacture's date of May 3, 2023 and called the dealer to verify if my unit had any safety recalls such as the one listed on this post and the technician checked the system and no recalls exist for my PWC. I believe that this is more HIN # triggered and not necessarily related to PWCs with a manufacturer's date on or after 15th March 2023.
@@NeekAnthony Thanks for sharing the info. I went ahead and called the Customer Service # at BRP 1-888-272-9222 and spoke to an agent and explained the same thing to them regarding the Safety Memo you posted and when checking the system it did not provided that my PWC was affected by the Safety Recall. I also asked if this memo was applicable to all PWA Sea Doo's based on the date of manufacture and the lady explained to me that the recalls are always unit specific. In order words, if a unit is impacted by the recall, the owner will receive a letter from BRP requesting to have the unit inspected and/or repaired. In my case, neither the dealership I purchased the unit from nor BRP Customer Service said that my unit was impacted by the recall memo. Nevertheless, I would have not been able to confirm nor investigate this further unless you brought it up to your subscribers. Thanks!!
@@NeekAnthony they didn't really tell me anything, however, I got an iBR Module error and it wouldn't go into reverse or neutral, so it sounds a little different.
@@NeekAnthony mine didn't "shoot forward." It just was stuck in forward basically. Idk, it was definitely built in December 2022 though. My marina had it delivered in January 2023. Anyway, I took it in, they... Did something. It's been good to go ever since. I also ran it for a full day after the error occurred (before I took it in) with no recurring error, so idk what exactly happened.
@NeekAnthony that's why I tide a pwc is to get soaked and I don't need accessories for what I do my friend. Can't back flip with a cooler or a fishing pole! Lmao! If I was worried about not getting wet and fishing I would just take my boat out 🤣🤣
