I so much love your video, I'm so happy i made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever. I'm a single mother, bought my second house in September, definitely getting this car and hoping to retire next year at 52 if things keep going smoothly for me.
Congratulation beautiful lady. You're really doing well for yourself, I'm at 55 and my financial life is in a mess. Any great tips would really go a long way in shaping my life. i want to buy my own house, that's really a big flex….
@@tessstokes999 I used the FIRE movement to put my finances in order. Then invested in stocks, cryptocurencies and real estates through the assistance of an investment Pro who helped me make it this big...
I just bought the 2023 ascent onyx edition with a lil less options in the blue color. It's my first Subaru and i luv it great car overall i like the second row captain chairs over the bench!!!
Nice video. We need a video concentrating on the towing aspect of the Ascent CVT. Reliability, durability, longevity etc… Not an issue for around town towing. I’m talking across country towing.
@@inactivemogul403 it’s actually not…. Regular gauge cluster….. that eye sight is showing its age…. Not as accurate or as smooth with autonomous features like in other cars
@@zachl6918cause if for some random reason that screen goes out one day your still have your gauges. 100% agree! I like the tech but prefer just a tad bit less. But that’s my own opinion and preference lol
I care about the longevity of this car or any car. Does it less 2 to 300K miles Will that major issue? That's the reason why I buy Toyota. They easy can go 200K with minimum maintenance. Right now my Sequoia 02 got 256K only think I ever placed was the radiator still the original engine and transmission.
Typical salesperson. I bet he hasn't tried new 2023 Honda Pilot Elite. I bought one recently and can tell you the difference between the Ascent and the Pilot. Ascent is ugly outside and inside, especially compared to the new Pilot. Pilot's transmission and engine are better and I bet Pilot accelerates faster too. New Pilot is also roomier than the Ascent. If you don't believe me go test one and post your comments here
Looks are subjective - I disagree firmly. The onyx edition especially is way nicer looking than the Honda Pilot Elite. The Pilot is a nice car but you’re acting so dramatic - they are both good cars for their owners. The Ascent accelerated better than the Pilot easily during my drives FYI.
We test drove the new Pilot and didn't like it. It drove bigger than it is, was rather loud on the interstate, the amenities are lacking unless you spend $50K+, and the seats are low to the floor, almost as bad as a 4Runner. At 6'3" my thighs don't touch the seats which I find very uncomfortable on longer drives. Only the driver's seat has height adjust to help that unless you get an Elite. No reviewer mentions this obvious shortcoming. Oh and the dealer wanted a $3K "addendum". My wife and I have driven nearly every 3 row SUV and the Pilot was one of our least favorites, which surprised me because on paper it looked like a winner. Honda also put all that effort into a brand new engine that doesn't offer noticeably better performance or economy. It's a head scratcher, not what I expected from Honda.
I test drove both today. Ascent is definitely faster. Roomier? I would say they are about the same. The Pilot was also priced more than Ascent. Also, the Honda plastic looks so damn cheap.
Pilot is way overpriced I got the accent onyx which looks better in my opinion and mine was 46000 out the door with 10 year 100000 mile Warrenty plus paint and interior protection for the first 7 years
I never understood why people with SUVs inquire about better gas miliage it makes zero sense. It's like the guy that says gee I'm driving a Carolla why dont they make an 8 seater or the family that buys a Van and says I'd rather have an SUV. If you bought am SUV to save gas you are seriously need help no SUV was ever made to save gas unless it's a hybrid or electric seriously 🤦
Both the Outback Turbo AND the Ascent Turbo have the same engine. Ergo, I cannot believe that the much heavier Ascent Turbo is faster than the lighter Outback Turbo; to say the least.
I have a 2019 Subaru Ascent Limited and I love it. It ticks off every box for my needs with only a couple exceptions. A great long distance cruiser. Plenty of cargo space for work and camping. The only things I would like in an upgrade, a couple more inches of legroom for adults in the third row. I would love a Wilderness edition for this model. The onxy is a decent appearance package but you can’t get the 2nd row with bench seats. Subaru really needs to steal errrrr borrow Toyota’s Hybrid system. Would trade in for plug-in hybrid or hybrid power train.
Would love the 120v plug on all trim levels. Still hate the battery drain if you leave the rear hatch open. Otherwise, loving my 2021 limited. Had a 2019 Premium before my current ascent. Sincerity owns 25% ordinary, they could lend the hybrid system….
The CVT was only an issue on the 2019-2021 model years and that may only be partly to blame for people not changing the transmission fluid as recommended.
Pilot looks disappointing. New V6 with no improvement in performance or fuel efficiency. Interior and tech can’t match Korean twins. Explorer in front, Durango from the side, Subaru in back.
