great video same story here, ordered the GR86 but they didnt even build my car after 6mnths, even though orders were built and received for other customers. so ordered and received my BRZ 3wks ago here in Brisbane AUS Great car, yes I agree the front bumper looks way better in real life and saving $5000 AUD is awesome
Hey how long do it took for you to order and get your vehicle? I need a vehicle within the next 2 months. I have 0 vehicle and I need it for work. My #1 choice is Miata...but yeah.
The window goes down slightly because of air pressure. There is no frame around the window and that protects it from flexing in and out when you open or close the door. Possibly breaking it especially with a slam
Really appreciate this vid Lachie! It's great getting a thorough look at it from an owner instead of just a general run through from a reviewer, cause you really get into the details and small stuff like the window dropping slightly when opening the door and what not. As someone who's looking at getting the car, the small stuff like that is actually pretty important. I had a question though, do you think the ultrasuede and heated seats are worth it? From my understanding, the ONLY difference between the standard and premium versions of the BRZ in Australia are the seats. I'm debating whether or not the couple grand for ultrasuede/leather and heated seats are worth it over the regular cloth, especially when I'd probably never use the heated function anyway. (this is Australia, give us cooled seats, not heated! I'd definitely pay the premium price for that!)
Honestly mate I really like these seats but if you're not fussed about having cloth seats or wanted to upgrade to something else later on then I say go for it and save yourself some money! Heated seat function totally not necessary here as you said haha. I've got a mate who ordered the cloth seats and loves the feel of them too 😎
This video is a perfect examples of how phone cameras mess with the color saturation in post. The thumbnail is a completely differently shade than the Campbells Tomatoe soup color in the video.
@@Ignition.904 Sweet! If it wasn't for the Miata (my dream vehicle), I would have opted for the GR86 in Neptune Blue! Subaru should bring back the Hyper Blue color (bright blue). And no extra cost for Neptune Blue! If they keep the front of the GR86, and redesign the tail light, I may get the next literation of the GR86 or BRZ. Assuming it still a manual. No manual, no buy.
@@chrisx5127 Yeah the Miata seems to be more popular with the old folks and I don't really like the looks of them, plus they're a little too small for my liking
@@00Lach I really like Gen 1 BRZ design. Not a fan of Gen 2 exterior design. Miata remains the same since 2016. I'm getting a Miata and it either the smartest or dumbest decision I have ever made (when it comes to buying things). 9 months of snow...
Those windows do that because it's a frameless door. Something you might not of had with your other cars. Also, worth mentioning the brz has a built in front scratch protector. That little black piece at the bottom of the front bumper is cheap and has no paint, so you can replace it instead of having your front bumper repaired from driveway scrapes.
Thanks mate! I'm so excited for you man it's such an awesome car! I still have fake engine sound but I'll deactivate it when I get an exhaust. Shouldn't be hard to remove as I believe you just unplug the module
