I test ride the 2023 Suzuki Boulevard M109R B.O.S.S in the city and on the highway. I give my first impressions and review on how the bike rides. This is Suzuki's largest and most powerful cruiser motorcycle.

I rode this bike recently and no video I’ve seen does justice to how beautiful this bike actually sounds.

I have a 2012 m109r, a 2017 Vmax & a 2021 rocket 3gt. The 109 is my favorite. It has the least power of the 3 but definitely not a slouch. It’s the only bike that does not get affected by the wind coming cars or trucks in front of you when you are cruising behind them. It is steady as tank.

Damn, now I just might have to go out & buy one! I like the fact that it’s doesn’t have all the distractions of all kinds of tech gadgets, it keeps it simple and clean. So this way people pay attention to where they’re going & their surroundings, to avoid accidents. I’m a big guy at 350lbs & that seems the bike for me, I like the power. Thanks for the cool video!

Yes. I have one. Just get the extended seats and mini floor boards and 2 inch riser to make the ride easier on the back and you will be good to go. I’m 6’3” and weigh 280. I started riding 100 lbs heavier. The bike has a lot of torque. Just be careful until you get used to taking curbs and sharp turns with that fat 240 rear.

I’m big and I own one and you will get around no problems at all. Its a very fast bike.

I had an M90 and the thing about these bikes is that they like to be revved. They don't do well like the American cruisers at low RPM. Once you know that, you learn where the sweet spot is to shift and it makes a difference.

This bike is amazingly cheap for such a big bike. I had the chance to buy one new, for such a good price + extended coverage by Suzuki. I got turned off for the fact that not even one thing on it has been updated since it came out. It needs plenty of upgrades. However, for the one who don't want to spend much and have been riding for awhile now, NOT A NEW RIDER, this is a bike to get.

@@e115x525Even after that it still clunks pretty hard going into 1st or 1st to 2nd. Suzuki seems pretty lazy about tweaking this bike and that just baffles me

I've spent a fortune on mine, so many mods I've made to make it look & sound even better than stock .. love the Intruder as they are known here in the uk

@@ItalianMetalHED I understand, but still Suzuki could have made some excitement on newer models, by now. They would sell even more of them. I see many used, low miles, very cheap too. Great buy.

I want to see bike tests include the same kind of tests you see the license testing venues use. Figure 8's, slow brake, fast brake and slalom...

I bought a 2007 2 weeks ago in good condition for 9k euro. They go for around 8-12k depending on condition here in Sweden. Unfortunately we don't get the us prices. :(

I enjoyed this review. Really want to know the difference between the 22 and 23 M109r. Pretty sure not much, but still wondering if suzuki took fan commentary on it. I imagine the engineering and tech involved is better.

Not really anything done in 17 years. All they basically do is play with the color scheme. I owned two of them maybe getting a third? Personally I always wanted them to add a sixth gear and I never cared for the speedo down on the tank where your eyes leave the road to look down at it. But Suzuki just seems to be very quiet. With how little they’ve done to the 109 I picture them rolling out new models built with parts from any of the previous years. So if you’re looking for new features? One word “Paint” they even rolled over the same color a few times.

I have the same year bike. Very cool so far. Can the rear suspension be adjusted? I would like too soften up the rear. Tire pressure good.

Yes it’s adjustable but any pothole or surface bump that’s heaved by frost? This bike will slap your lower back pretty hard. I never found the setting on mine that was comfortable for me at 225lbs 5’10”.

when i sat on one a few days ago i did notice my leg against the heat shield..this rider mentioned that too..how hot is it .??? i was told by the sales guy its warm NOT hot and wont burn you...can anyone deny or confirm that?,,,clearly at 5.9 tall it is an issue thank you in advance for your answers..

First to second gear has a nice clunk. Still a pretty cool bike.

I thought they had issues with 2nd gear. Not sure if it was addressed.

@@alp3781some 2006 2007 had the issues. 2008 onwards are fixed. Mostly affected American bikes if my research is correct.

It’s normal! The Suzuki engineers confirms it, they upgraded the tranny but it softens out as you put miles on it.

I’m 5’5 an I could but the one I rode was lowered. The big thing was I could just barely reach the foot controls sitting in the proper position. I had to slide up to the tank.

Your going to slow in to high of a gear.. of course it is lugging. Ride it hard through every gear.
