Polo gti and golf gti do not share the same engine. The polo uses the DKZA engine which is a miller cycle engine designed for economy. They may both be 2 litres, but they’re completely different designs
I think you have explained the point I was trying to make better than me. Various models can have a similar engine capacity but tuned/designed differently in order to make each model UNIQUE. I think that's what Suzuki should consider doing instead of just throwing in the engine unaltered...Thank you for your input.
It's the same engine just tuned differently, simply because the Golf has to be more powerful than the Polo. Note that VW is no longer proucing new engines, I think they stopped with the MK5 GTi, hence the 8 will probably be the last Gen of their combustion engine under the Golf badge.
I hope Suzuki/Toyota SA have done the right thing and taken cows kaSambo, to appreciate what Muzi has done. I saw that the Baleno is now amongst the top sellers over the last year of so....and we know who's responsible
@@furn2313 he didn't even mention that at that price, spec and size is there anything that competes with this car. We don't even know if it comes with a spare wheel, 🤣
@@HenryMcChanj he mentioned the only real competition to the vehicle price and spec wise, the Toyota Urban Crusier. Outside of that, rivals either are too costly, offer less spec or both and yes that includes the Jolion. He also mentioned it has a full size spare wheel.
I friend of mine told me about a his friend that did a similar thing with a polo! He was hijacked and kidnaped, and he bought a polo again! I once had a polo and it got stolen, I will never own it again!
This engine is underpowered, but it has so much aftermarket mod support from HKS and the like that with a supercharger, headers, cooling and exhaust, it will easily outdo other cars in the same segment in terms of power and torque. Much appreciated from Kenya. When you guys get stuff, we're not far behind.
you deserve a TV show on IGNITION at the very least. the slightly dry humor with brutal honesty makes for amazing entertainment while actually getting factual information as well. Great content
Finally Suzuki delivers, the Baleno for me was the best car #value for money, however the polo was more appealing for me because it offers a sunfoof as an option. Now with This VB Top of the range i think its now the best car I would put my money in, after this the Hybrid jolion for R590k takes the trophy
The weirdest situation just happened, I'm on the Suzuki website and I see it mentions "coming soon" ..Im here searching for more info and you just posted 😀😅
Hi Muzi, am getting a good value for money on my Kadjar😂I can fit a 🚪 wheelbarrow and few 20L of paint with all doors closed 😂i guess that's where the word utility fits in SUV, keep up the good work nwana mhani
Hi Dr Sambo, could you review the latest Subaru XV ? Seems nowadays you are branching out into cars that are affordable and I think one of them is this one. Cheers 👊🏽
Hey Muzi, the top spec Grand Vitara is a 6 speed auto with a mild Hybrid and AWD, so yeah, its kind of steep. i do agree with you that they should have put in the turbo in at least one of the variants but there is a problem with that. The 1.4l Boosterjet is not produced India where this car is manufactured and putting the a 1l 3cylinder engine in a car that size is something stupid Euro manufacturers would do, even if they tuned it to its full potential which they dont do in India. India would have to import the engine which is quite costly and if you think Grand Vitara top spec is costly, see the Suzuki Swift Sport and Vitara and compare the jump in prices of the NA engines vs the Turbo and you see what im talking about. Also im puzzled why Suzuki would remove the Vitara Brezza and replace it with the Grand Vitara? Thats what they told you? The Vitara Brezza was one of their best selling models, i thought they would have removed it for the new that has been out nearly 2 years now but not for a much bigger car that starts where the now defunct one ended price wise. Also 6 seater coming your way? The XL6?
The fronx is on a 2 to 3 month waiting list so they offered the Grand Vitara GLX , saying that its exactly the same as the fronx on the inside ... I don't know what to do...
They told me the same thing but I started calling the dealerships one by one until I found one that had the Fronx available. I would wait for the Fronx cause the Grand Vitara is huge. They're the same car but it's HUGE and it costs an extra 100k for nothing but size @@MiskahParker
Grootman, you should become a Suzuki Brand Ambassador or a Salesman. You could sell it to Porsche owner. I was driving somewhere in the Freestate today on the N1 and a truck carrying cars past with this Toyota on it and I wonder what it was. Both looks good but I would definitely opt for the Top of the range Suzuki.
I am watching all your reviews and i love your honesty. most reviewers will make you want to buy a car- not honest opinion and you regret on your own. but you baba ka snowy say it like it is. thanks bra
The issue I have with this car is the engine that 1.4 Booster Jet would make this car appealing I mean Chinese uses 1.5L Turbo engine with similar power output and torque as the 1.4 Booster Jet
Back to back comparison of Suzuki Grand Vitara ans Toyota Urban Cruiser(Hyrder) will do... For Suzuki and Toyota to give Muzi these SUVs to do a comparison review🕯🕯🕯
Suzuki Grand Vitara used to be the only affordable alternative to a capable offroader. It had a 2.4l v6 engine with low range. It only lacked a diff lock. It could climb rocks, sand dunes and wade through mud. I don't know what this car is, but it is not a Grand Vitara.
I get that, its not as hardcore offroad as its predecessor and it doesnt have as much trunk space as its smaller sibling. Think of it as a Grand Vitara for a more fuel efficient age(because you have to admit, that thing could drink fuel like it had a drinking problem). Most persons that had the previous generation would climbing up mountains with them so AWD will suffice, if you want that, get a Jimny. The main aim these days is fuel efficiency.
"Cathi cathi signals" 😃🔥🤣🤣🤣 they messed up with that design. Suzuki offers more than Toyota for the price and these guys are consistent with offering more just the engine part is the lacking one.
Suzuki looks better than Toyota. Why is no one taking about the crappy power and total lack of torque. For a range topping model this is unacceptable at Joburg altitude. Auto gear box even worse.
Agree with the concerns about the engine size - but remember these cars are built in India these days and due to tax / emissions reasons most cars at this price point have 1.5l or less naturally aspirated engines
