Check out the new 2023 Team Corally Asuga Buggy bash and review. This thing is bigger than most basher buggies making it more versatile as well as making bigger batteries fit perfectly. Can it take on the Arrma Typhon? Join me to find out!

Yeah overall I'm very happy with it. It did break but I kind of try to break my vehicles in my review videos to see just what they can handle. Thanks for watching :-)

@@DoRC I'm probably going to get the roller and put my own electronics in it. I'm thinking a castle mamba x 6s combo and a dumbo rc radio system would be a nice pair up. Any thoughts?

Yeah I'm sure not everyone will agree with me but I like the fact that it's larger so you can fit pretty much whatever battery you want in it and it's better ground clearance means that it's more versatile than other buggies. So far it seems very durable

Those are redcat kaiju tires. They're really versatile. Going to be a little while before the next video as I'm waiting on parts

So do you like the Asuga or the Spark better?? If you can explain why.
@DoRC
@DoRC 9 месяцев назад
That's a tough one I would say that the Asuga is more durable and probably more versatile due to its size and the beefier bracing system but the spark is lighter on its feet if that makes sense. Personally if I had to pick between the two I'd probably go Asuga but that's also because I'd probably just put big wheels on it and pretend it's a truggy. Ultimately I would just get whichever one you like best. If you want something bigger get the Asuga if you want something a little smaller get the spark.

Hey man I know this is 3 weeks old. But I hope you’ll see it. I have a castle 2028 motor that needs a home. You think it’ll fit in this buggy? Thanks always love your videos!!
@DoRC
@DoRC Год назад
Unfortunately no that's not going to fit. It's both too large in diameter and too long. You might be able to get it to fit lengthwise by modifying the side guards but you're going to need to custom mount for the diameter. Honestly unless you're doing speedruns that's some serious overkill anyway. Time to get an X-Maxx :-) Thanks for watching Glad you enjoy and if you aren't already subscribed a sub is appreciated!

a year later, what would you recommend upgrading on one of these to make it more bash proof?
@DoRC
@DoRC 27 дней назад
It's always hard to know what to recommend for upgrades because everyone bashes differently so everybody's needs are going to be different. Overall it's a pretty tough buggy and I would recommend just upgrading things as they break based on your bashing style

Would you say putting bigger tyres on made it better or worse ? As I was thinking of doing the same
@DoRC
@DoRC Год назад
I'd say it made it better but I think it'll depend on the type of bashing you do. Bigger tires are going to give you more air control and wheelies etc but it will make the car less stable have a higher center of gravity and be more likely to roll over. So ultimately it just depends on what you want to do with it whether or not larger tires are going to be good.
@michaelcain2174

@@DoRC I don’t go crazy with my cars , just light bashing , do you have a recommendation for which to go for ? Thank you for response it means a lot
@DoRC
@DoRC Год назад
I think that the red cat Kaiju Tires that I tested on mine are a good option. They're fairly inexpensive and fit it pretty well. You are probably going to get some body rubbing if it balloons and you have the wheels turned.

I figured it was going to be pretty good. These trucks are tough and they just keep improving them. Regarding my driving keep in mind that I crash these things on purpose when I'm testing them. I'm not really that bad of a driver:)

Typhon 6s fans will be sending u angry emails lol
@DoRC
@DoRC Год назад
Yeah I just think it'll depend on what you like. The Typhon is an excellent buggy but I like the larger size and I think this truck is more durable than the RTR typhon. The TLR Typhon might be a different story though. That thing's a beast
@ninthislandrc

Obviously, Team Corally didn't learn from Traxxas. The "downfall" of the Asuga will be the same as the Sledge - the use of 6061, instead of 7075. Once already seen the front shock tower bent on an Asuga, and I fully expect others to end up the same way. The same could happen to the chassis...especially if it lands on a rail, or the top of a fence post. Overall, it does appear to be a 'very good' vehicle...but, it's not without problems. I'm sure 7075 towers & chassis...probably from M2C and/or Vitavon...will be released in the near future (just as they both did for the Sledge). IF I decide to get an Asuga, I'd say there's a 99% chance that I will wait for 7075 parts to become available. 🤙🏼
@DoRC
@DoRC Год назад
I really think that depends on how hard your bashing. The co rally aluminum is significantly better than the stock Arrma aluminum and plenty of people bash the typhon without bending things frequently. Yes if you're smashing into Spence posts and mailbox posts things are going to break and yes higher end components will help with that but it's always going to be a balance between cost and features. If they made everything 7075 and then charge an extra $100 everybody would be complaining it's too expensive. I really do think that this is a good balance and to be honest with you the sledge is pretty strong with its stock parts too.
