Took delivery of my EXACT same Model Y 3 weeks ago...just love it tinted/PPF/Ceramic coated...shines nice and does look "stealthy"! It might just be...the perfect car! I came from a 2018 and 2021 Model S and well, I loved them but this is just so much more functional with its height and ride (but YMMV). Family loves the extra room they have in compared to a Model S. Enjoy the car!
@@TheMarkdogface The ride is great IMO coming from a Model S...I got the MYP so it will prob be "stiffer" for most but coming from the Model S riding on "Low" setting with 21" wheels...this is noticeably smoother of a ride (prob because of its higher height). The MYP doesn't get the "comfort suspension", if I recall, only the LR does...I could be mistaken. Wonder if there is a way to check to be sure?
Great looking car! I went for the Long Range in Midnight Grey. The US have had the Model Y since 2020 after it was announced in 2019. It’s Europe who have had the Model Y for over a year since the end of summer 2021. Followed by the UK early this year and Australia in summer. It’s going to be the most popular EV sold and the Performance will be amazing! 0-60 mph in 3.5secs for a SUV is insane! Still no floor mat options from Tesla but Jowua do great all weather floormats and some amazing accessories for the refreshed Model Y RHD that are coming out of China. Can’t wait to see more vids!
UK Model Y - say hi to a soon to be German Model Y owner (LR). Need the extra KMs to be able to return to the UK when visiting family and for work. Thank you. I’ve always kept them in the frunk. The reason is, if they are in the boot and it’s fully loaded (Holiday, shopping etc) it’s impossible to get to them. That’s just from my experience over the last 3 years.
I’m super jealous!! Ever since Berlin started making them i have wanted one, but I took delivery of the long range in September because I got too impatient. I’ve seen reviews that say even though the perf has stiffer suspension, apparently it’s more comfy than the long range 😂
Great review mate! I have a MS Performance and love it. Your Y looks great! I'm getting my badges chrome deleted too! And getting the other badges on the back removed altogether. I really like the uniform look of the rear of the M3 SR with only the T badge on the back. Personally I'd change the wheels on the Y to smaller, lighter (and still stylish) wheels. I saw another video where the guy got better range than the LR Y with his Y performance 😃👍 All in all very nice car mate 😊🙏💪
Hadn’t realised you had this Chanel🙄. Congrats on finally getting the Y performance. I gave up on my order way back and settled on the Y long range which I’ve driven since March. It’s still a fast machine but a lot cheaper and although I really like the performance as you clearly do hands on I don’t regret it. Looking forward to further videos of your tinkering with accessories 👍
Congrats on your car mate. I got my model y long range same colour few weeks ago. I went with the white interior and added calliper covers to make it look like the performance a bit more and of course the spoiler too. Best colour I think looks great with the black rims
Great video, I've just received my Model Y performance a couple of weeks ago and love it. I had the model 3 performance before and don't really feel any drop in performance. Interesting, I seem to be getting a little more range out of it in the real world compared to the 3 performance which was a surprise. Interesting to see your mods once you have done them. I've already changed to vinyl number plates and blacked the Tesla badges which I think helps to make it look a bit more stealthy!
@Daniel Miles real world I am getting about 220 miles which is actually a little better than the model 3. I live in Bucks and so can get to North Manchester without needing to stop. I anticipate the range should improve a bit further as the weather gets better.
UK MODEL Y. Great video. Just found your channel. We live also live in Yorkshire and I picked up a Black Model Y Performance from Trafford Centre. After your drop off comments, I would go for the drop off next time. It was a long trip to Trafford Centre on 2 trains, and then a tram. The car is awesome, but I also think that the software should have been working without USS before they actually removed them. I do hope the Christmas software update has audible parking - something you just get used to on previous cars.

Thanks for this review, since the wife will be driving mine too , and knowing now there’s no sensors in the 2023 model I’ve cancelled my order today. Really disappointing.
Excellent video,full of information and no fluff. No parking sensors (cameras aside) seems a funny cost cutting decision, must have added £50 to the build cost at most and the extra layer of protection for the owner was surely worth that.
UK model Y. Picked up my LR on launch day Feb 2022. Still love it. Contemplating the parcel shelf. Mine didn’t come with one but Tesla want £350 and a service visit to replace side plastic panels. Loss of ultrasonic sensors (and radar) really seems to be a backwards step.
Took delivery of mine 3 weeks ago identical to yours although added enhanced auto pilot, absolutely love it, had IPace for 4 years and this is so much better. Found same issue regarding no parking sensors luckily before i backed into our wall! Tesla confirmed that as going all vision will have to wait for update. Driving to Seville in early January cant wait.
Had a brain lapse for a second and was trying to figure out how it was going off the trailer at the beginning because nobody was in the left side drivers seat ha

UK Model Y. Bought mine in April 22. I've owned four Ferraris and several Range Rovers. So notwithstanding that Fs are more attractive cars and arguably the RR Sport is too. The Model Y is streaks ahead in Tech and a super exciting car to own. I've ordered a Roadster too, so I'm putting my money where my mouth is ☺

Times have surely changed... a 13 month wait to get a MYP over a year ago, today I can order one on the website and pick it up at the nearby Tesla Store in Okla City next week.

About body parts alignment, just look at wheel arch trim just before 3.00, it aligns differently across different parts, too tight with bumper and too loose with the door
Took delivery of our model Y long range in June. Has been a fantastic car to date, without a single problem. In some respects better than my 2018 model X, such as charging speed, one pedal driving and the heating now we have got to cold winter months. Balancing price against features I think the model Y is the best EV available, particularly with the incredible Tesla supercharger network. I would not consider any EV except a Tesla for long distance driving before the public charging network improves dramatically. My model X I have driven over 100k all over Europe without ever having charging concerns.

I have had the SR RWD Y (the previous version - a bit more powerful) for 14 months and it's a great car, even with all its faults . Much more comfortable and practical than a model 3 and with an energetic efficiency unknown to all the competitors. My suggestion: go for the smaller wheels. It's a rigid car and the difference in riding quality between 19 and 20 wheels is relevant. If they had the option for 18 inches I would go for those...

UK MODEL Y - Also look at Intelligent Octopus. I switched last week (from Octopus Go). Intelligent Octopus allows 6 hours off peak each night rather than 4 hours, and it is also cheaper at 10p per kWH rather than 12p on Go. The Octopus App schedules the charging and has worked great.

Took del too 2 weeks ago, no parking sensors is proving problematic loving the speed but lost 30% in one day when it was -5 in uk only traveled 20 miles! Bring in the summer
you can drop the tyre pressure by 2 or 3 PSI to take the edge off the stiff ride, in my experience the suspension softens up after a few thousand miles
UK Model Y. I think removal of the Ultrasonic Sensors was a big mistake on Tesla's part. Hoping the bring an update which is just as good. Looking for more videos btw!!
Thanks Jonny. I agree, removing them seems a like a huge step back. Right now I have no sensors at all, so I can't even comment on how good the new cameras are either.
I had the ultrasonic sensors on my last two Teslas and I found them only slightly more useful than nothing. The problem is they start beeping when you’re about a foot away and they don’t increase the frequency of the beeps to let you know you’re getting closer so I’d have to look using the mirrors anyway. I cannot imagine that Tesla wouldn’t create some thing that would be at least as good as the fairly useless sonar beepers
My m8 has just ordered 2 of these in black....we went to the dealer in Bristol where they let us take one for a test drive....my god the thing moves....on a side note I believe I saw u in cribs coming away from the tesla store, we were on our way back.
Looks nice in Grey, we went for blue same as my old 3P… 😊. Have you had any rhythmic vibration at around 70mph, a few of us who collected from Manchester have the same issue?
I just got mine last week, it was used with 8,300mi. Literally the same specs as yours but I got it in the color white. I put it immediately in the shop for cosmetic upgrades such as paint correction and im adding yellow brake covers. I plan to wrap it in satin black or gloss black but that will be in a year or so. It was a pretty hefty purchase so I'm going to have to save some money before I do more mods. I also plan to add a simple body kit which gives it a front/rear diffuser and an extra mini spoiler. I came across your video because I am a bit eager to drive it again but its still in the shop. It was a hassle for me to learn how to drive it. The automatic gear shifters confused me a little. The screen itself is a bit hard to navigate aswell. The regenerative braking feature is different never dealt with that before. I can't wait to try out autopilot, the previous owner told me he bought it. And its definitely the fastest car I have driven. I'll be using my pruis for another week or so but im not looking back once the car comes back from the shop.
Btw top tip because you've got a new channel for this batch make another 3 or 4 videos and post them all straight away you'll get binge watchers move from 1 to the next and more of your videos will very quickly make it on to people's recommended list. RU-vid loves a good binge 😂👍💪🤝
Nice! Just got a Y LR in the same colour, picked it up Dec 1 and let Autopilot drive us home, 50 miles entirely autonomous. Ours was built in China in October 2022, but came with USS (ultrasonic sensors), so the parking sensors and proximity readout still works. We bought FSD too for when Elon decides how it will work, but it’s fascinating to follow the developments, so being an early adopter, not bothered. Easily the most well thought out and fantastic care I have ever owned. What other cars allows you to use directional sound to flatulate in the direction of your chosen victim passenger? (Buy one, and you’ll see, but not smell!)
