Since the new Tiger came out people have wanted to know how it compares to the 2023. I had the opportunity to take a new 2024 Tiger out for a self guided half hour ride. It gave me a really good idea of what the differences and similarities are.
I've included my impressions during the ride as well as a recommendation of which a Tiger might be a better fit for you based on your riding style.
I hope you enjoy this video and as always please watch to the end! That helps this channel tons.
As a thank you to my viewers, here's a discount link for the Brand Free helmet brake light. Be safe out there!

The tank protector is very easily damaged. I've done only 1600km and it's starting to look bad which is crazy. Saw another person on Facebook also asking what to do about it due to also starting to look nasty. I like the idea, it's great. All tanks should have this out of the box, but rubber should be better than what they used. For handlebars, officially they only moved RP handlebars 1,5 ar 2 cm backwards compared to GT Pro. I was able to feel this difference that Rally Pro requires way less leaning forward and no pain in my back compared to GT. For moving windscreen, you need to push from yourself first, only after that lift it. Maybe it's too far to reach, but you barely push it forward and that is not enough to move it out of position lock. Most of your pushing is up which won't do anything until position is unlocked by a forward push. Anyway, even doing correctly it's not that easy. 2024 engine is reworked. More power, better fuel efficiency (by almost 10%!). Most importantly valve check now 18k miles instead of 12k. Other changes: 1. Different fog lights, rated a bit more in W and doesn't require repositioning when adding tank protector crash bar. 2. Seat in low position now leaves big gap (unlike in 2023 model). If there's no gap, it's not mounted correctly (tongue need to go under, otherwise it will break because seat is holding on it). Meanwhile the seat in high position can jump out of place. The tongue hole is too big, there's plenty of movement available for seat. (again, not just my opinion, plenty people in Facebook reporting the same issues) 3. Quick shifter is updated and taken from 1200. It should be also be better protected for a common issue of rain/water. There's an extra rubber. 4. There are some changes for hot air venting, but I don't think it does much (they added a couple of holes on side plastics).

The screen is easily adjusted on the move. You need to push the bar away to release the tension not just yank it. You didn't mention the extra power, better fuel consumption or much longer service intervals. Not a very accurate review I'm afraid.

I'm sorry you found the review lacking. I was actually pushing against the spring as you describe. I believe it's a difference in strength. My point is that there are other ways that are available on the market to adjust the screen. This was an overview, not detailed specs, just things I noticed while riding.

Glad I could help. I figure anyone could read a spec sheet. It's the ride impression that you need information about.

Actually the windscreen is easily adjustable while riding. Simply push forward then up or down. If you just grab the bar and try to move up or down it won't move.
@Czeching_Out_America
@Czeching_Out_America 3 месяца назад
I do exactly that and i don't have enough strength/ weight behind it to move it.

The biggest change for 24 is the 18k mile valve check interval verses 12K miles.

Is this new? For the boxers it’s always been 12K miles for the valve check. My ‘15 GSA is the newest BMW I have. I was thinking but don’t know for sure the new K bikes would tell you when to service the valves. 6000 more miles between valve checks on the Tiger is a big deal because the bike has to be stripped just to get to the valves. When you get to 36,000 miles you have saved a lot of money by skipping a valve service.

I stumbled across your channel because I am in the market for a mid-size ADV bike and the Tiger 900 (Rally Pro) is at the top of my list. I love your long-term owner videos!

Yes, just the Home button and then toggle through the menus.

Just grab the windscreen by the very top edge, push forward then up or down. More leverage and easier to move.
@Czeching_Out_America

My point is that it is not designed to be manhandled that way. I also lack the upper body weight and strength to do this to lift it, only to push it down. Other bikes have easier adjustment methods like electric or twist knobs.

Thank you very much! Helps me narrow down my purchase. Looking at the 850 also would love your opinion. Do you ever do group rides where we can ride w/you? Would be great.

I’ve had my 850 sport for 2.5 years now and love it, but would advise having quick shifter, heated grips and a centre stand fitted. The rear suspension is fine for one up riding plus luggage. Ignore the advised settings by Triumph it needs 10 turns on the preload for solo riding minimum (l’m 14.5stone with riding gear) 15 with luggage or it drags its arse! If you do lots of 2 up touring the rear suspension at max preload is arse down again. That in my opinion is its only weak point. The motor’s a gem and easily keeps up with larger capacity exotica.

I wonder why the 900 doesn't use a smart key fob like my 1200?
@Czeching_Out_America
@Czeching_Out_America 3 месяца назад
Perhaps a suggestion for future model updates? Triumph really seems to listen to us, I'd send that to them as a comment.

There's only downsides to the key fob IMO. I had one on my Multistrada. It makes for more complication and expense. They typically only give you 1 key as well. A friend had to send their KTM home in a truck, due to a programming glitch with the key fab system too. It's difficult to beat a conventional key.
