I bought one of these for my wife in Australia. I absolutely love it. We also own a new Land Rover Discovery 5 and the T-cross actually has more elbow and front leg room. It's an astonishingly wonderful car to drive. The Land Rover now sits in the Garage on a Trickle Charger because we like driving the T-Cross more. Hilarious

The R-line T-cross is a stunner. But the pricing is too much for such a small car. I guess the 1L engine will be more efficient compared to the Polo GTI, also you will feel much more comfortable driving on gravel roads on the T-cross

That Polo GTI was looking very extravagant compared to the T-Cross hey😂 Regardless I think VW is just over pricing their cars cause they know that South Africans are brand loyal. I'd take my chances with a second hand Audi A3 (1.4L turbo petrol) than this new 1L T-Cross. I'd take the Ford Ecosport between the 3. True , At 500K you’d have so many options in the used car market , from BMW , Audi , Mercedes and even VW with relatively low mileages. I’ve been uploading once a week instead of the usual 2 or 3 times a week lately , but il bring back midweek reviews whenever possible 🫡

Loving the videos. However the pricing seems high. I was at a dealership yesterday and was able to get a quote for the comfortline with R-line trim add on for R400k. maybe the guy was just feeling generous 😂 Keep up the great videos 👍

Thanks for watching and commenting Jarrod , The Comfortline is cheaper than the Highline model i reviewed , but even so if you got a brand new VW T-across Comfortline with the R-Line trim for R 400K then he must have given you a discount because the cheapest Comfortline R-Line with 70 KW and a manual transmission is around R 415 600.

Aaah nduna, at 7:26 I would definitely go with the chery tiggo Pro 7 Exec - it's really a no brainer at that price point, and actually I'd have about +/- R50k change back in the pocket. More car more tech, more practicality, better performance in comparison against the T-cross 1.0 tsi and m not even talking about better service plan and warranty. So with that said and value for money I'd drop VW like it's hot and endure the Chinese fuel struggle 😂

If you really want to spend that much on a T Cross then rather shop around for the 1.5 version demo or low mileage used which is a 4 cylinder 110kw and 250nm. And you'll find many low mileage options for way under R500k

Atleast rev the car while outside next to the exhaust so that we can really hear it at it's fullest. The T-Cross Is perfect for gravel roads better than polo, especially if you know you get to drive in such road condition often.

1.0 turbo engines aren’t bad but at certain price points they are harder to justify and yes sunroofs are awesome 😂

Ba bhemile. They can keep that thing!! There's a Suzuki Grand Vitara coming that's going to shake the market. There's a Jolion, H6 etc.. VW is taking advantage of these weak South Africans with brand loyalty towards thier brand.

@@mrhowmuch i would say the rebadged version of the Suzuki Grand Vitara which is a Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder would be the one selling more.. the same way Toyota sales did with The outgoing Urban Cruiser and Starlet to Suzuki's Brezza and Baleno respectively. South Africans loves Toyota, despite Suzuki offering more than watered down deals on Toyota rebadged Suzukis.

i Drive an T-Cross R-line and my cost of ownership is R8000 its only more in GP because insurance companies overcharge because VW is a high risk vehicle in GP

@@mrhowmuch we need that review, hopefully Toyota SA gives a test car for a month or so because I'm not convinced of fuel savings of a hybrid car I think VW has total lost the plot, you don't even have to pre owned or used, Haval, Cherry, Proton, and other new brands are providing better cars ultimately at reasonable prices
