Great comparison video. I do really enjoy the ultra finesse of the daiwa airity 1000. Like you said its so light, you can feel so much more. Like you said, if someone has the money, buy them all. They are all super nice ultralight reels.

Great conclusive video Ifish. Im glad I sent you the ST LT and another subscriber sent the ST SF for comparison. I will definitely be buying the ST SF for my next reel and put it on a XUL presso air ags. Now we need Stella 1000SSPG versus Exist SF 1000S-P video. Also I was hoping you would do a video showing how you tuned my ST LT so I can do it to my other ST LT. I know you bend something 2mm, but I would like a video showing the procedure.

Great video! One remark from my side. Actually you are comparing LT with SF (having in mind that both reels are ST - bearing oil specification and no magseal). Ignoring the size - the main diference between LT and SF is the support of the pinion and the thikness of the shaft. SF is made for nano-sizes and EUL while LT is more like standard UL.

I think you hit the nail on the head regarding reel size and better quality. I have noticed this with almost every single brand, the bigger reels feel much better than the smaller ones in terms of low resistance as you say, and also perhaps smoothness. my big 4000, 5000, and 6000 size spinning reels feel much better than the 2000 size, 2500 and 3000 is when i think the imperfections are negligable and going bigger doesnt make a huge difference In my opinion

Same sentiment I feel. Having the Vanquish erases my ability to justify buying another reel since its such a good reel. Since I must admit after owning it for a year. Shimano has won me over as a customer even tho in the beginning I liked Daiwa reels more Thanks again for the content

You need to buy a Revive handle in 42.5 mm. Only then will you feel how nice a reel can spin. And a nice knob is also on it

Oh, I relate so much with you! I had 2000P Luvias Airity, and my biggest problem with it wasn't some heavier rotation than on Vanquish but the fu... power. This 1000 size body within their LT concept is a bloody beast. No wonder they do 2500 size reel on that body now. And no, it's not good, as many anglers may say. This power kills sensitivity. We don't need power in ultra finesse fishing but we need to feel what the hell is going on with our 1g lure. So that smaller body has all the advantages now. About 1000 Vanquish. I believe it's now very unbalanced reel. This powerful body makes no sense when you go really finesse, and if don't than you'd better go with C2000 or C2500 size, which both have the same body just a bit bigger spool and rotor, which isn't a problem if you fish lures like 3g and more. Before Airity SF, there was no other choice, but now there is. Thank you for you review, very helpful!

Hello! Is Daiwa airty St 2500 good for fishing with 5-25g jigs?

You are not the only one who believes the vanquish is better, a few of my friends my self included have stoped using our Stella 22FK because the new technology in the 23 Vanquish is just better. The Stella is built tougher definently but the Vanquish is more functional and it feels like I have more direct contact with the lure. I think when Shimano bring out the new Stella with new technologies like they did with the vanquish its going to be a really special reel. You forgot to mention that the Vanquish is easier to service than the Airity😉

Let's be honest you can't really notice any difference if it's just grams or an oz more or less while you in the water using it!

I think daiwa has miss the mark on this reel now the 21 model the body is whole lot, better looking reel gold and silver they has something going for the DAIWA LUVIAS FC LT 2500S-XH why miss up a good thing and now make lower grade Product 🤷‍♂️
