We have a red Volvo 850 Turbo from 1995, Best car we have ever had. Ergonomic seats, Volvo designs them. Only has 90,000 on it, but its a little long in the tooth.

Actually she would in two ways. One - it got some clunkers off the road - Two - the crew does an amazing job in environmental clean up. In 24 hours you couldn't tell it had happened.

I agree. The Anchorage PD car was amazing - especially catching fire on top of the water at the end.

This is just me between a GoPro and volunteer family and friend help with cell phones. The high dollar videos will likely be out in a week or two from 1320, lastfrontier and more. I’m just the guy that built the Fall Guy truck for your entertainment and sharing with the digital media that I have available.

I totally appreciate your comments. Trust me, I do. Of note - did you watch the playlist yet of how I built it? I'll link that here. This truck was built from four donated trucks. All were slated for being scrapped. I worked very hard to re-work and re-use panels that a restoration quality build would never use to create the illusion of a good straight rust free truck. Out of the four I did salvage one. It will not be destroyed and is the recipient of the best parts available from the Fall Guy build. Yep - it went off course fast! That truck would have made the pond - I'm sure of it. It was in 4 wd and on the practice runs it got a ton of momentum fast.

You aren't 100% wrong - It was built for the purpose of this last stunt of a Fall Guy truck (like the old TV show) - but...it was built with four different abandoned trucks that we had donated to us - some great sponsors and six months of burning the midnight oil. It was a 4wd, so "K10".... ugly, 80s square front, emissions era POS... probably had a 305 in it... there's still plenty of them around. I'm just glad it wasn't a round light "rounded line" truck from the 70s.

@@livewire2759 yep. 305. Had no guts at all. Was surprised it got the momentum that it did as it would just bog on wide open throttle. Was low on compression on #7.

I understand what you are thinking. Look at it from this perspective. In Alaska we don't have night time to enjoy fireworks. We do this instead. Now, how much does the average public or private enterprise spend on a high dollar full feature firework ceremony for sending them up in the sky just to go boom? Probably...WAY more - and in the end the people all say "ewwwww, ahhhhh, woooooow" and take pictures and enjoy the moment. Same thing - just different boom. In this case "Mostly" clapped out, worn out vehicles with non-rebuildable titles and more...just going out in a blaz of glory.

@@greatwhitenorthlife2327 the red car was a rocket. But the Anchorage police car made it to the pond and caught fire. That was epic.

I screwed up when I edited this. I actually have video of it from the drone. If you see when the first police car goes off - and we switch to the view from the bottom the other crown vic (painted orange with the 01 on it) goes off to the right - then the trooper car goes off to the left and rolls.

That one was a rocket!!!

At least the Barbie Corvette was. I'm going to do another video behind the scenes and show that. It had a huge piece of concrete put in to help with traction - the caused it to flip backwards in the air. I fully expected the Fall Guy truck to nose down - but I guess coming off the ramp it just launched right before hitting.

The first to go off was an old Nissan Hard Body pick up - what made it odd is it was a manual transmission which is super tough to get it started and moving at speed with nobody in it. The first event of the Glacier view was a private event and it grew from there. The Honda had the roof cut off and stickers all over it.

Roadkill tried to send two of the same type of car off a few years ago thinking they could piece one together and drive out - it didn't happen!

True. But I’ll tell you the cars there for the most part were all rolling dead zombies anyway. Even my Fall Guy truck was built out of four abandoned and dead donated trucks that were all past their prime. 😢

I appreciate your comments and concerns. The Glacier View that hosts the event goes through this every year and has an incredible clean up team. Pretty amazing process and very well done. Within 24 hours you can't even tell it happened.

Thanks for the answer . To be honest I only partially watched the video when I left my comment and partially watched during the second comment . You put 2 vehicles in the water . I can't see where you live from my front door . And you aren't going to affect my water in the lower 48 with what you are doing . That being said 1 of the vehicles was on fire . Fire means fuel so it's safe to say you aren't removing fluids from said vehicles being launched you have removed the glass but not the mirrors, headlights, tail lights etc . Your saying that you do a quality clean up is essentially like me saying that I could disperse a couple pounds of glitter in my apartment and expect to remove it with a vacuum . It's just mathematically unlikely . You're not affecting where I live a bit the call to the EPA isn't going to come from I enjoy the content I was only saying that someday whomever organizes this event could be on the hook for a large amount of money . The EPA has all of your tax money to prosecute you with . It's just a thought brother .

@@Maria-z5o I promise you these vehicles were all in various states of end-of-life except the Corvette. The Fall Guy truck was made from four abandoned trucks none of which were road worthy. The school bus as well as others had transmission issues, overheating, and more. Some were already salvage titles from prior losses.

You can find these vehicles in every city in every country of the world just go to your local scrap yard before they're crushed

Chevy Impala - about a 2009 or so....had a 3100 V6.

Generally I do. This was pieced together from cell phones, gopro 7 (mounted on the Fall guy) and a gopro 12. The high end production crews also were running video and will have some long form videos at higher resolution with professional camera operators coming out soon. They kept it a secret from all of us right up until then - it did a couple of fly overs - starting with the Nasa car - but they NAILED it with the school bus.

The crowd was huge - but the land area is smaller too - the river keeps claiming more and more of the bank. Not sure if they can pull it off next year.
