Simba, I hope this finds you my brother! I am 30 years old and joining the Army as a 25 Bravo. I have been out of school for YEARS! So I struggled with the ASVAB. I was scoring a 35 AFQT. Since finding you on RU-vid, I have watched all of your videos and studied them with the upmost attention to detail. I am pleased to say I took my ASVAB at MEPS and i scored a 70 AFQT, with all line scores exceeding 113. Knowing I now qualify for any job with any branch of the military is a blessing. But still going Army as a 25 Bravo! More over, with my college credits I will rank E3 to start! Thank you Simba. You are the freaking man!

I just find this video and I’m 33yrs old trying to re-do GED about to getting into GED classes again to refresh my mind .. I took pre-test (ASVAD) almost 9 years ago and got 15 the recruiter (army) told me to just study but life happen and now I am here … your videos I got all answers before you answer and got them right so I think I am refreshing my mind thanks a lot 😊🎉😅

Going to meps Thursday with my buddy for the Army i have taken the asvab 3 times first getting 17 then a 25 then a 30. failing this can really set you back and make you feel like you cant get a grasp of it I finally found this channel and it's helping me understand so much man I appricate your videos it really sheds and light and helps me learn man best of luck to me my best buddy and anyone who's going to take the asvab !!

Great video, it’s been years that I haven’t done math. I did my asvab practice test and math is one of my weaknesses. Arithmetic is challenging after so many years of not doing math.

watching all your videos & i was so strong in math! its been 8 years since graduating hs & its coming back to me so smoothly, im skipping through most of the videos bc i dont need explanation on how to solve. i havent gone to a recruiter yet but im training for boot camp & also asvab so when i do go to recruiter, ill be ready to go ASAP! that being said, your videos are so helpful on refreshing my memory, i was using asvab for dummies but im more of a visual learner & catch on quickly, rather than reading, well it depends lol but thank youu!

I had to go get a book and a pen for this and I did get the correct answer I did 11 times 26 all the way down to 1 times 26

I did on that question @ 59:23 I divided 960,000 by 96,000 and got 10 and figured 1/10 was the answer math has never been a strong suit of mine but you’re videos are so helpful thank you hopefully I go in and pass ❤ Edit: and obviously there are no calculators so I’ll still have to work on it but yk practice makes perfect

I did the last one a little weird. I divided 96k by 3k to figure out how many acres she was getting which was 32 and then I figured out the fraction of what 32 to 320 is and if you multiply 32 by 10 you get 320 so that means she is selling 1/10. Different process but same answer. 59:42

The jack hot dog question I use a different method, which is I added up the number of hot dogs jack eats to Jeff and I multiply by 12mins gave me 60 same answer as your method.

For the percentage question determining the 15 percent an alternative way of finding the answer out is to take the $195.00 and move the decimal over one place to the left giving you $19.50 that is ten percent. In order to get 15 percent you simply divide the number by two giving you $9.75 and finally you add the two numbers giving a total of $29.25 as a tip

I take my asvab on wednesday this really helped jog my Memorie for arithmetic

Just found this video and I did try to join the army before and did the practice test multiple times before. I kept on being told many different things by different recruiters like focus on the weight and then asvab etc. still interested but really its the weight and this test, not really a good test taker at all.

i got 74 on my practice, hopefully i got that same score when i got the real test.

I’m wanting to join the military, but scared I will fail at the ASVAB. I took the practice test and scored a 10. I am not book-smart at all. My test skills are not that great. I barely squeeze by in high school any good tips on how to retain this information better for someone who doesn’t really understand math at all.

I know for 7-8-9 anything past 7 starts getting harder for me to visualize because i lose count pretty quick lol, well to the point where I start counting instead of instant answer. Im slow but I usually get the stuff right unless I dont know the formula ofc

Took it once got a 86. Shooting for somewhere in the 90s. Couldn't join back then but I'm trying to get in again.

i really hope youtube can save me for the asvab. I sucked so bad in school with math and science mostly, i just took a few practice tests and feel like a complete failure. then I searched if you could use a calculator during your ASVAB test and NOPE. I'm screwed. how the hell they expect me to know what 6% of 5000 with my brain!? I feel mentally disabled trying to figure out these questions without a calculator. And even with a calculator I still manage to screw up. SHIIIIIIIT looks like its gonna be Infantry for me :') EDIT: after one hour of amazing time, I feel a little smarter now. Thank you. Edit #2: I need harder questions broken down, like how do you divide 1250 by 350? I’m confused asf on these asvab practice tests
