The 8 speed works better in my opinion. Way more responsive, and has better starts from LC. The ZF8 is one of the fastest transmissions out there. What makes the difference is the 1000+ lbs weight difference.
@@DMCarReviewsI just feel if the q7 had launch control like the dsgs, would’ve done better in 0-60…kinda like the earlier 2019 Arteons vs the 2023’s with the DSG. But yes, of course the weight factors. And indeed, ZF8 is really perfected. BMW nailed it with them. Just got back from Florida with a rental x5, amazing shifts.
@@bradleyscarreviews The Q7 does have launch control, I just didn't use it. The Arteon's had an Aisin, which was very torque limited. I had a 2019 Arteon with a stage 1 tune, and it wasn't the fastest off the line and didn't have launch control, but after 50 it was great and shifts were very fast.
I've had some very unpleasant experiences with traffic stops within the last year (especially out of state), and have had to pay a good amount for tickets, lawyers, and court fees. After getting pulled over two more times recently, I decided to invest into a radar detector. The capabilities of it are amazing, and it's worth every dollar. They can radar you from the other side of the highway while traveling the opposite direction, and then come chasing you a minute later, trying to hit you with every charge. I had a fairly cheap Whistler Radar Detector back in high school and early college days, and I've never been pulled over with it. It worked really well! Problem is, in other areas they will pull you over for 7-8mph over on a highway, and give you a court date. It's better to know where they are.
I recently got my A4 Allroad (wagon) delivered, & I’ve owned both Mk7 GLi, & a Mk7.5 GTi in the past & they’re dynamically pretty similar, just way better quality & much quicker! At least with the 7spd DSG. Mines a wagon & fully loaded so a bit different than the one in this video, but man it’s perfect for what it is. 0-60 is 5s which is plenty for a family wagon imo. No creaks or rattles thus far either, which both VWs had since they were new! Audi just does something different & it feels sooo good
@MrHav1k I had a Mk7 GLi & an Mk7.5 GTi, you should absolutely go get an Audi A4 Allroad! Feels very familiar but quality is substantially better. The 45TFSI powertrain is great, 5s 0-60s which is like stage 1 & 2 for the GLi & GTi (manual), & design is just straight up great. I'm so happy with the switch man. I went full on Prestige District Green Metallic with the Black Optics Package ik wagons aren't for everyone but this just feels like the right way to get an A4 imo. Honestly the spec I have almost feels like an S lol
I wonder if the 21 A4 has the gen 4 of this engine. I hear it does, if so that’s great because the gen 3 had the typical water pump and oil problems. I have a 21 A4 so
Enterprise employee here, the 3 series drives at least 3 times better than the A4. We have quite a few A4s and 330i's in our fleet and the vast majority of our customers like the 330's a lot more, its a much better car overall.
Hey I am super confused on how this is within point 2 seconds of the audi S5 on the zero to 60. I watched your s5 sportback review last week and saw it got I think a 5.4 or 5.5 0-60.
@@DMCarReviews I know, that is super surprising to me and also very upsetting as a S5 fan. Why do you think the S5 is so slow. And is comparable to a base A4.
@@ronanjobson4504 The S5 is not slow. It's just tuned for smoother starts. The A4 is a mild hybrid, and it gets off the line faster due to that. Obviously in the higher speeds, the S5 will have a more noticeable advantage, but up until 100mph the difference is very minimal.
It’s cause these are quick haha, the 45 TFSi is definitely under rated. My 24 Allroad isn’t out of break in period yet so haven’t launched it or even redlined it, but I can feel low down how hard it pulls. Car & Driver got an 0-60 in 5.2s in a 23 Allroad which is basically S5 numbers in itself.
Thank you for watching! I'd say it's faster than 95% of the cars on the road. I drove it for a week, and at times spiritedly. Only two cars I wasn't able to get past by was the new Camaro 2SS and X5M E70.
My 24 A4 Allroad Prestige in District Green & Black Optics finally delivered on June 1st after waiting an entire year & I have absolutely been loving it. Still in its break in period, but even not revving past 5k rpms, performance is great & comfy but tightens up amazingly when in dynamic. My other car is an 2018 GT Sport with a 7spd DCT as well, & the DSG shifts & feels so much better too. I have the Prestige so all the fixins & features & man, even for it being a lil “outdated” in Audi terms, it still feels perfect. I actually chose it over the A6 Allroad bc I didn’t like the newer Audi interior tbh. I love having the actual physical climate controls (real alloys at that) & the A4 has real visible dual exhaust outlets. I can’t wait to get it past 1k so I can launch it man, 0-60 in 5s is plenty enough for a family wagon 😅
Bro the corner you use for testing handling has me laughing every time. You're nowhere near the limit, you can take that at 70 or even 75 in this car. You tires aren't even squealing at 60.
I have a 24 Allroad in Prestige & it has it along with a ton of more features. I’m not usually a fan of fully digital clusters but Audi does it best imo. My Mk7 GLi had VWs version of it too & it was almost as great, but the Audi’s resolution & frames per are so much better. The cluster in this unit is like B7.5 & B8 Audi, it’s oldddd haha
Мне кстати ещё очень нравится Audi которая была в фильме Перевозчик у него вроде в фильме была чёрная Audi A8 она помню в фильме была очень крутая и красивая 🙂😎
@@DMCarReviews compared to A4 Audis produced the last few years, the exterior look of this car doesn’t look that great, imho. Thank you for the reply. Very good review.
