I just leased a new 2024 m340i two weeks ago. It's my fifth Bimmer. Black on black and black wheels, it's my Batmobile. Absolutely love it!! Ultimate driving machine
I got mine on oct 20 in the Brooklyn gray with Tacora red leather and I will say such a fun car to drive. It truly is a n awesome daily driver and when you want to push a little it doesn’t even hesitate. Truly a great driving car.
@@lawabiding2576 is your car stuck on idrive idrive 8 or should I say, can i drive8 be upgraded to 8.5 etc? I have a 24 440 and the iidrive system isnot upgradable.
@craighermle7727 I haven't checked into it but it's doubtful. You know how complex these cars are and if you change something, you're going to have issues. I'm ordering the new 540i soon anyway which has it.
a few thoughts: The LCI looks best in black or a dark colour in general, the gloss black defuser and other accents don't look amazing so anything to take attention away from them is good. I understand the thinking in not loading one up with options because then you're approaching M3 territory, but personally for me, I don't want the rough ride or looks of an M3. I want a very sporty daily driver/exec sedan that is also comfortable for long trips. I need adaptive cruise, wireless charging, and want full leather. I would go M3 if I could only have 1 car for myself (with my wife driving a family crossover), but I the Giulia QV is a much more unique, better looking and better driving car. I'm looking at used examples for a summer car, and will likely lease a loaded M340i for all year round. That or a used M550i.
Exactly, it's an apples to orange comparison . I recently picked up my custom order fully loaded xDrive m340i that will be my daily driver at $68k. When I was building out a similar spec for a xDrive M3 comp, it was hitting close to $100k. Sure I could have a bare bones M3 closer to the price I paid for the m340i but then I'm missing out all those quality of life improvements for my daily driver. I get why some people would choose the M3 over the m340i, but that decision is going to depend on the person and what they value. For me the already damn good performance of the m340i along with everything I can load it up with for the price made it a no brainer. Plus I'm lucky enough to have my local dealer install a stage 1 CarBahn tune to push it towards 450hp while keeping it under warranty as well.
@@eged9509 It's a dealer by dealer basis. Apparently from what I can tell it's a rarity for dealers to do this but luckily mine does. It's a piggyback tune with CarBahn. My dealer actually works pretty close with them apparently as my service contact at the dealership travelled out of state to CarhBahn HQ these last few weeks to get updated training on the '24 models. Getting it installed next week. It doesn't come without those lovely dealership fees however, as it's costing me $2k, with $1k of it being a fee to retain warranty... Still worth in my opinion given I'm pushing hp/torque up 100 (new numbers I was quoted after the contact just gone done working with CarBahn are 475hp, 495ft/lb) while keeping warranty on my brand new '24 m340.
got mine with most options except the cooling/tire package and the drive assistance pro, it was only specced with the driving assistance base package. Got some goodies that most people don't get to option though like the carbon trim package! Love my m340i
I think G70 3.3t is still a better buy if you don't care about the badge. It's cheaper and it's fully loaded. Plus you get 4 brembo calipers on all 4 wheels which is rare on the cars in this segment on top of that you'll gear heated rear seats heated steering wheel which is optional and extra on bimmer. M340I is a great car tho don't get me wrong, it's just if you don't care about the badge want to get best value for money Gen is the way to go, but if you're BMW fan and want something more powerful and don't mind paying more than that's your choice
@@VirusZero0140 was it low trim kia with key instead of push button? And you do realize civic, camry, accord, F150 are get stolen way more often than kia/Hyundai
The white and red is harder to find so I would as it will be better for resell. Options: Cooling and high performance tire package Diving assist package Parking assist package Premium package Power tailgate And xdrive This will add around 6300k to the base price I have seen some dealerships give a few grand discount too so before you order it look on line to see if they have these options and color combo.
DAS (Driver Assistant Systems) on other brands, come standard on most of the platforms, the only brand that charges extra for DAS is BMW, this day in age not having lane keep assist, smart criuse control and the rest w/o charging extra, is plane stupid. -- Still LUV the m340i, awesome drive.
The LCI dash display looks terrible... what an after thought. No shift lever, missing leds in side. this cut backs list is huge. I would buy this car loaded with the former or pre LCI 2022. Much better looks all around.
I can tell you the used ones are barely less than a new one, maybe $2000 or so according to how optioned, remember on new there is always some discounts off of MSRP, I’ll have one sometime in March of 2024, Good Luck!
Got the same with no options excpet sport package and carbon roof. The ride is so light compared to my friends m440I. The lighter the car the funnier the ride.....
LCI interior was a downgrade. The 2020 was quicker. They should have offered the ICE and then the ICE with the mild hybrid and called it the M340ih or something. And you can hear the turbo more in the pre mild hybrid years
The 25 has more horsepower and torque but the savings can be better for the 24 model. Normally I would say go for the more power but in this case it’s already a good vehicle for the 24 model.
Cooling and high performance tire package Diving assist package Parking assist package Premium package Power tailgate And xdrive This will add around 6300k to the base price
@@PegahSye standard suspension can ride more smooth as this will change with the driving modes but it’s not going to do much for tracking at 500-600. I would go without it as the overall drive is smoother.
@@PegahSyeyes, absolutely worth it. Compared back to back. No question the adaptive suspension is worth it. Now you can get away without it IF you run something like a Michelin PS4S but otherwise, get adaptive suspension and have the best of all.
II got my M440 a coupld of months ag0, and didn't realize that the car came with hi per summer tires I in. I live in the North east and I can be bothered changing wheelset/sire each yerar .3. I haf hte max si,,ers removed with 4400 miles on them.the Tred was donw 50% I never hit anyting with the car, but when I had the car aligned when the new set of tires was put on, I found out that a couple of the tires were way out of alignment. The next car I buy will be alighed with before and after results before I accept it. THen again , the next car will b e A tesla "S"
Should call it the Apple i340M and add "Plus" to the trim name if it's AWD. It's slowly losing its car identity and turning into an iPad. Dashboard is pathetic and looks cheap. Throw all the functionalities into the tablet, glue it on the dash, and let the drivers figure it out. As common with software, updates move all the icons around, so you have to figure it out all over again. The 2020 trim was more driver-focused and friendly.
@@HawkeyeRides True. Of course, I'm in Germany and my gas mileage isn't great because I can't keep my foot off the floor board, LOL! BTW...I have a 2023 M340i xdrive 50th anniv edition. I wish we could post pics in the comments section.
Exactly! The performance is very respectable and can be economical for those cruising days. The M3's suspension is too harsh for me and the price tag for the M4 is more than I choose to spend.
Personally, if I was considering the M340i I would just save up and get the M3 Comp xDrive. A reasonably loaded M3 can reach north of 95k but I think it's worth it to get an actual M Car rather the M variant, especially if you're looking for the best driving dynamics. I might also consider the C 43 AMG over the M340i, it's a very capable car that's been dismissed just because MB shifted to a 4 cylinder in the new models, it's a great car.
Wouldn’t touch the m3 they say 95k but that’s far from true, they sell at 115000 after dealer fees and taxes not including mark up, I mean if you wanna spend over a $100,000 for a car that has 100 more hp and not even 100 more tq than the m340 than go waste it lol, a downpipe and e-mail tune and I’m beating stock m8s
2020 model isn't the same thing! Model 2020 has different IDrive: 7 instead of 8 and different engine: with plastic intake manifold and without extra 6 port injectors!
