I bought a M440 just about one year ago. It is really a beautiful car to drive. I drove several 5 series before and I miss that smoother ride, but, this model does not fall too far behind. I would do it again and again. The size and performance makes more sense for my use.

Budget friendly would be the M240xi. Same performance (actually slightly quicker) and can be had loaded for $62k. And under $60k if you don't need all the extras.
