Half of them speak about India and Indian products, but they look for tax avoidance, tax exemptions, and tax loopholes to save money. These are the same people who are speaking about India! The public has to blame the Indian government and its elected officials for not promoting EVs like the Chinese government does. A typical consumer would consider EMI, value for money, and a good car, such as those provided by BYD. Such a car would definitely be recommended, regardless of whether it is an Indian or a non-Indian product. I would choose intelligence over emotionally fooling the public with Indian marketing, which makes me pay higher prices and keep me in debt by paying EMI every month on depreciating assets.

Agar yah varient bharat me hi BYD ne banana suru kar diya 😊 to yah to tata, Mahindra,maruti ko kha jayegi. Bharat me aakar jaldi se banana chahiye.tabhi compitition start hoga.aur Indian EV market teji se aage badegi.
BYD seagull costs 69,800 yuan in China which translates to 8.5 lakhs, so if we add Indian taxes it should cost around 17-18 lakhs in India, this is taken reference from byd seal which costs 190000 yuan in China which is approx. 23lakhs but same byd seal costs 50+ lakhs in India which is +110%..
The problem is that we don’t know how many years this company shall operated in India. It’s a Chinese company and may run away anytime leaving buyers to suffer without any support. But I agree that government should allow these companies to operate in India so that Indian market can grow and Indian manufacturers can learn something from them.

Just wait for made in India OLA cars. It will be top of the world with most affordable pricing and value for money. The issue with Cars is that one should consider whole of life cycle costs. Ford once famously said that " I will give you the car free so long as you sign up for all spares and service for the life of the car". There you go. You don't know how long these cars last, and what you have to pay for replacing the batteries, or for that matter even a little headlight if it gets crushed in an accident. TATA vehicles are known for the best value for money and reliability since there is historical proof that they make spares available at a modest cost and servicing is affordable. Agree, they have to up the technology, I am sure they will do it, if they are given an opportunity. Community needs to support local manufacturing if they have to have a chance of becoming internationally competitive.
Not a proper comparison. Price launch hone ke time bolna chahiye, 8 lakh, 10 lakh kuchh bhi figure bolne ka koi matlab nahi. Iski battery capacity Nexon jitni hai to 400 ka range claim karegi hi. Isme do battery pack aate hai 30 kW and 40 kW dono hi tiago se bahot jyada hai to iski price definitely tiago se 3-5 lakh jyada hogi.

As per recent discoveries new lithium reserves in Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, so India's lithium reserves found in J&K are of clay deposits, a type where commercialization has not been proven globally as yet. Until aprovation ev cars like byd seagull can't be under 10 lakh segment
