It was second sight put out walkabout limited edition set I had no problems at all and also it’s out of print. Just to let you know. Keep up the great work. I enjoy your videos awesome
Great in-depth overview, Todd! #thesingingcollector 🎶 The Beatles and The Stones are about equal to me, both have great tunes. Black Moon (1975) is a good one if you like surreal French cinema. 😊
Well said. The Beatles were more of a bubble gum pop band for teens. They had a huge catalog of fantastic music. I prefer The Rolling Stones a little more. Both are legendary.
Only have 2 movies from criterion, but i really want the Lone wolf set, been Santiago it for years now but havent gotten it yet. Lots of great movies, we have the same taste with hitchcock and Kurosawa. Love love old Samurai movies. Great collection my friend 👌⭐️
Another great video, Todd! There's a few I have in my collection that I would definitely recommend: Salo, The Virgin Springs, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and Blue Velvet. My favorite Del Toro movie must be either Pan's Labyrinth or The Shape of Water; they're just wonderful. Finally, Beatles over Stones, no question!
Carnival of Souls and Night of the Living Dead are both terrific. And anything by Robert Altman is worth a pick-up. And re LVT, Antichrist is a work of art but not a fun watch. Definitely a be and done flick. Melancholia on the other hand is nearly perfect.
One movie you might want to check out is Blood Simple. That is The Coen Brothers directorial debut. I watched that one a couple years ago and it is a crazy flick! It has Hitchcock style directing meets Sam Raimi style camera work. That is one my favorite Criterion pieces I own in my collection. 👍
I ordered a different mic for my iPhone 15 today. Hopefully the sound quality is better. It’s supposed to arrive in the mail Friday. I’ll get to try it out Saturday for my Scream Factory video. You’ll have to let me know if it sounds better.
The microphone you used before doesn't fit the new phone or has it broken? Thanks for considering my opinion & primarily thank you for sharing your passions👍
Great stuff, Todd! De Palma's Blow Out and Sisters would fit nicely into your Criterion collection, but I'm pretty sure you have other editions of them (Arrow's release of Sisters?).
Thanks Matt, I appreciate the kind words. I do have the Arrow editions of Blow Out and Sisters. I’ve thought about double dipping for Criterion’s Blow Out. That’s a great movie.
Only Criterion I have are COME AND SEE, THE DAMNED, SWORD OF DOOM, ..Great collection Todd, do you collect HAMMER HORROR movies, I like collecting old movies like that, I just won the Bluray on Ebay of the 1974 Dracula movie starring Jack palance, and I've got my eye on two French horror movies that have just FINALLY been released by Second Sight called HIGH TENSION, and INSIDE, I own foreign copies of them both but now they have been released in UK region B I'm going to have to double dip 😁 take care mate
Yes I definitely do love Hammer. Indicator has released several Hammer box sets which are amazing. Sounds like you have good taste in movies. I love the horror films from the 60s and 70s the best. 80s were great too.
@@ToddEWalnuts yeah I love 70s movies, I want to eventually get the full Twilight Zone collection, there's an old slasher that I want to see I'm sure you will have already seen it THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN
I recommend films that I saw quite recently, which I adore, and which the Criterion has released: Cure (1997, strange thriller); La Chienne (1931, Jean Renoir); Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion (1970, Gian Maria Volante!); Under the Volcano (1984, John Huston). Each of these movies is a hot stuff, immediately to watch!
My favorite scary movies of all time is 39 steps grudge 12 and three the ring baby blues it the original I know this one’s from Stephen King but it’s called cat’s-eye fire starter and if you never seen this movie this one’s really good too it’s called the wicked little things
