Going through all my Criterions and ranking them as follows: Haven't Seen/Disliked/Left No Impact/Solid/Highly Recommend/Must Buy #criterion #criterioncollection #bluray
Nice collection. Although I disagree with a lot of your opinions, it’s really refreshing to hear someone give their honest thoughts on Criterion movies instead of just gushing over the ones they think they’re *supposed* to like.
Alright, fully convinced, I think Portrait will be my next purchase this month. Miller’s Crossing is my least favorite Coen bros film. I’m with you there. I’ve watched it 3 times trying to like it 😆. You’ve got an awesome collection. Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on these regarding how yours categorize them.
Nice collection man. Surprised to hear some you didn’t like. I’m a big fan of American Friend and of course I agree with Midnight Cowboy, such a great movie.
I still have work to do to get the whole collection watched, but I do put an emphasis on that. I'm lucky to have the free time to watch a lot of movies.
I was waiting for your reaction to Jeanne Dielman lol. I need to re-watch Frances Ha, remember liking it.

' Fox and his friends. ' Fassbinder's best film. ' The Vanishing ' I wish had never been made. A cruel film that could mark some for life. Awful film. I do not like banning films, but if I did it would be my number one. Perhaps a suggestion: ' Crazed Fruit ' a Japanese masterpiece. I have an excellent Criterion of this film. Suggest too ' Gertrud ' directed by Dreyer. I admire you as a serious collector of film.
Not gonna lie, dude. Criterion is really f’ing lame. Snobby little label, with a customer base of mostly snobby, yuppie little hipsters who think they’re “cool” for watching some old ass, foreign language bullshit that the modern film lover couldn’t give a shit about.
Tell how you really feel man. It’s all good…Transformers, Star Wars, and Marvel movies all still exist for you to watch. No need to be a dick about someone liking “old ass, foreign language bullshit”.
