#Dodge is getting ready to go completely electric and the #ChargerDaytonaSRTBanshee. Technically, still a concept vehicle this #ElectricMuscle is built on a new 800 volt Banshee architecture and Dodge is promising acceleration that will surpass even the most powerful and quickest #Hellcat models. It goes on sale in early 2024.

I really like that they are experimenting with an exhaust sound. Not sure I would go for it in person, but sound is such an important part of the emotion of cars. Before we just disappear it, someone should try to recreate the emotional effect. We might find that we can let go of the fact that it’s artificial, and appreciate it as an authentic necessity (if not mechanically authentic) for a sports car.

To my eye it's shaped like the original chargers, It's sized to match the charger Daytona race car and it's as practical as the current charger... Also it sounds to me like a M1A2 abrams main battle tank so it likely does have a real something in side of it likely the emotors drive a turbine to get that classic Abrams sound profile.

Not 70s but 67-68 was the first ever Charger Coupe. A lot of people have been requesting a Charger Coupe since the release of the first ever Hellcat which is crazy that Dodge didnt release this before the EV version

I'm actually not against electric cars, they're cool and all, but they really shouldn't replace conventional vehicles just because of a stupid political agenda (you know the "let's save Earth with electric cars because they're green" and other BS). So why shouldn't we have options then? Just let people fucking decide what they want to drive and everything will be fine!!! And yeah, it's anything but a muscle car. It has a cool look, but that's it. To me, it's just another quick, soulless electric car at this point.

Tim ( head Dodge boss) kept saying it was a concept using air quotes when he did. So it will probably be close in looks. I imagine it will have a B pillar instead of open side glass. Side mirrors will be bigger as will the headlights. It will most likely get a regular moon roof instead of fixed glass roof.

Leave it to Dodge and GMC to make the cool EVs. I love that EV “exhaust” note. More manufacturers should do it! Chevy’s small block already sounds like a pissed off lion whenever you push on the throttle. I could definitely hear something similar to this but cooler coming from a Camaro EV. America is back! 🔥

Because there are much worse things going on for pollution. There should be no reason for the government to step on toes and make everyone switch to EV. Here is a very valid reason as to why. For example, a single electric car battery weighing 1,000 pounds requires extracting and processing some 500,000 pounds of materials. Averaged over a battery’s life, each mile of driving an electric car “consumes” five pounds of earth. Using an internal combustion engine consumes about 0.2 pounds of liquids per mile. Do the math. Which is worse? Combustion engines or all the mining that will be needed to keep up with EV's?
