@@timothychance3757 I sure wish the beeping on the Go-Pro hadn’t been so loud. I now have it set at lowest from highest but it still is probably too loud for big game hunting pressured critters. I know I went instinctual and I haven’t wounded without retrieving in probably 10 animals now but still play this hunt over and over in my head. I will say this, this cow tastes like a taste and texture I haven’t enjoyed in more than 20 years. The T-Loins were fork tender at rare. Took some 1” thick steaks from a section of the hind quarter last night and though not as amazing as the T-Loin, better than all the T-Loins from past deer and elk. Packaged some today at 7 days of aging. Will package more and finish in the next three days for total of 10 days on the last of it. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.
@@skippylippy547 especially after triple digit temperatures during the first week of the season. I wasn’t out there but judging by the lack of cows and bulls speaking everyone else was up there trying to sweet talk em. I’m feeling pretty blessed/lucky each year I get my elk.
@@johnallen713 she did look small framed in the background but not a calf and not a completely dry cow but mostly dry, still some lactating going on. I’m trying the t-loins tonight and hoping she is prime grade A. I normally wouldn’t be in such pitiful shape if it were not for 20+ days of triple digits up until a couple days before this hunt.
@@samsmith7150 I sure hope there are some pheasants and chukars this season. Went dove hunting once, got 13 birds and mostly morning doves. The European doves have taken a major dip in numbers. Time sure changes everything.
