REDEMPTION | IDAHO O.T.C. Archery Elk Hunt
After a rough Arizona archery elk hunt last year that ended up in the hospital all Mike had on his mind was redemption this year. After waiting in December, he was able to get an over-the-counter elk tag in Idaho. When September hit Anthony and Michael headed up to Idaho to chase bugling bulls where Michael would be successful on his first archery bull.

Congratulations on a nice bull and breaking the drought in Idaho. Frontal shots are risky but I'm glad it worked out for y'all.

The amount of unethical shots on RU-vid is mind blowing. Okay we get it you bought the tag worked hard to get there and have all your buddies with you and a camera. But Jesus dude you shot him in the face, recorded it, and put it on RU-vid.

Yeah this is crazy. Bull is standing frontal on full alert, of course he's going to jump the string. He has no idea what yardage he's shooting, and so he's already off target on a very difficult shot and arrows the bull right in the face. But you're right, they drove 15 hours from BFE so they deserve to take any shot they get. Really great work Canyon Outdoors

@ccleverly it wasn't even full frontal.. it came quartered to and unlike they say in the video, the bull didn't even duck until after it was shot in the face.

Don’t let the haters get you down. Things happen it’s not always perfect. I have personally killed five bulls with frontal shots. They are very lethal. Looks like you connected with the second one as well, right in front of the hip? He already had an arrow in him nothing to lose and everything to gain.. good job staying with it. I personally think most elk that are lost to archery tackle is from guys not being proficient enough at tracking or giving up way too early. Great video.
