PVV - I like to watch trend videos mainly from a place of curiosity. It's also cool to see if anything already existing in my wardrobe can be utilized or worn in a way that is on trend. Like my buckle boots that I always wear regardless are now fashionable again lol.
I watch trend videos because from my experience, the trends can vary from group to group. There are some that tie together or is simply weather based like dark denim, suede, and leather is always in for Autumn. I listen in as studying for my business so I know what to pick up and sell.
Once people in Atlanta was were wearing timbs during the summer in 90 degree weather, I already knew they wasn’t going nowhere. In NY it’s a classic staple here. I can’t wait for the colder months to see them styled, cause for the past few years uggs have taken over.

They make me think about different combinations of clothing I could wear together and yet other ways to express myself through clothing! Sometimes, I get inspired to add a certain piece to the wardrobe that would bring together a more complete outfit for the season. I love a change in seasons because it gives me a chance to refresh in all aspects of my life: outfits included!
I really love seeing other people's unique takes on fashion, especially when it comes to styles I wouldn’t usually consider for myself. For instance, I wouldn’t personally go for about 90% of the items mentioned in this video, but I totally get why others would, especially for a different aesthetic. #pvv i find the trend videos interesting just to keep up, also as maybe as a marker of the types of things not to invest in if they feel like they’re only going to be a microtrend. also just from an observational perspective, it’s quite funny noticing people in Soho (both london and NYC) seemingly absorb these videos within the matter of days/weeks and all be dressed with hints of each video from various creators and influencers
Hey Drew - regarding you wanting to get the microphone out of the way: you should look into getting a shotgun microphone, or more specifically a small diaphragm condenser or SDC. They are basically small tube-shaped mics that can be mounted up above your camera frame pointing down at your chest to pick up your voice as it projects upwards. These would be held totally out of frame but should still get nice clear audio out of you. One I know off the top of my head is the Shure SM81, but most SDCs should use XLR and connect to the mixer the same way you have your SM7B connected, so you should really just need a mic, something to hold it, and a stand to mount it. #pvv
PVV - I spoke with an older family member who said that they used to look through fashion magazines to figure out what was “in” and what interested them. I think for me, the reason I like these trend videos is that they are a great way for me to see what the latest in fashion is, and if there is anything that I might want to wear. In a way, it’s just the fashion magazine of our era
Pvv- I like what’s trending videos bc I actually want to see how many trends I am following with or without knowing and I also wanna have a general idea about current fashion trends and maybe follow a trend if I like it . Ty for the video btw ❤️(fffl lol)

#pvv It’s honestly just cool to learn about the different reasons people wear what they wear. Anyone can say that they have their own personal style that they’ve completely put together themselves but the media is literally inescapable nowadays so whether you follow trends or not you’re still influenced in some way, consciously or subconsciously. Even when people think they’re being completely original, they’re often drawing from cultural references, past trends, or even counterculture movements. It’s fascinating how personal style is this mix of individuality and collective influence.
PVV: i think one of the reasons why people like trends videos is cause it seems like it´s the “easiest way“ to look more fashionable/stylish. Even tho a timeless wardrobe (i know that from your videos) is the way to go. PVV - I personally watch like 80% of your videos but what I enjoy the most about watching your trend videos specifically is that it's sort of like a report card of what you are seeing people wear out in New York which is a totally different environment from my own (California Coast & Sierra Mountains). Plus also I might move to NYC maybe who knows in the next year or so.
Great vid - I think for myself re trends, it's kinda just to get some inspo for my own style and incorporate it into my wardrobe. From colour to silhouette. I've been also looking at getting a new jacket and had coincidentally been looking at the lobster claw style jacket (probs because of Tyler). Autumn/Fall is my favourite season, too. It's the time to be sexy and cozy x
#PPV - as someone who tries to gauge future trends, it’s dope to see someone I respect in the space give his opinion because of the value it carries. Plus, being in different states, the trend content is used differently too. Audio vs fit problem, you should maybe add a fit check or breakdown at some point in the video. Or use some of the intro segment to showcase the fit indirectly.
dope video as always! for your mic question someone already mentioned it but another mic would probably suit what you are looking for better. i work with sm7b's a lot and they can be pretty sensitive but they definitely sound better up close where you have it now. a shotgun style mic that can stay out of frame could work or you could try a clip on lav mic. I've used a combination of both before to get something that sounds more natural, but it's always worth experimenting a little.
PVV: I love trend videos because I like hearing peoples opinions and also I feel like they are good for inspiration because I can hear about things that are new. For example, I like boots a lot so I’m excited to hear doc martens came out with a pair cause they lowkey cute af.

PVV answer: as a person who really loves experimenting with clothes and seeing unusual fashion out on the street I care about trends bc I hope to see stuff in the "whats trending sphere" that is truely "sth new" or "creative" or "outside of the box" ... it can be sth old styled in a new way or a clothing detail that was hyped 50 years ago and that the fashion world forgot about or I do not even know existed. So I always watch these videos bc I hope to be flashed with sth new and exciting to adapt to my wardrobe or just enjoy some creative styling to awe over. Its the promise of a fresh and creative wind in the everyday fashion world that sometimes playes a bit too safe in my opinion.
PVV - First of all, this is one of the first times i've seen one of your videos, and i must say that i really enjoyed it! Rn i'm trying to find out what i like when it comes to style, and i think a lot of young people are looking for the same as me, as a part of finding out who they really are as a person. I am having a hard time finding what i really like, and thats why i watch trend videos. But something i've found interresting is, that trend videos can be very different and really depend on, who the creator is. You might see a guy who's saying something, and then another guy saying the complete opposite. But i'm happy that i've found a creator who seems to dress a lot like i want to, so keep up the good work👍
PVV- I personally like to see trend videos in general to see what's trending for different people since there are some trends that everyone kinda notices and other trends that might be a bit more niche and personal to each creator's interests/algorithm/interests pretty much !
On point with the fall boots. I'm predicting that Rain boots will be trending where we already see the ladies pair them with shorts and coats but it be cool to see men rock it
I think when you're wearing not much clothes it looks better to have only a couple of jewelry pieces on and when there's a lot of layering it looks better to stack!
I definitely gravitate toward trend videos for inspiration. There’s usually a wide range of aesthetics covered by people who are talking about trends so it’s not just me seeing what they put on their body if you know what I mean. Also I’m less inclined to follow someone else’s fashion sense when introduced to trends like this.

#pvv if you get a boom mic you can pop that on top of your camera's shoe mount. However, it will likely sound worse if your room isn't treated. The alternative positioning, which is more involved but much better, is to get a mic stand and position the boom mic above you just out of frame pointing towards the floor. I think it's worth investing in this setup but it will take some trial and error to get just right! Regarding trends, I like looking at trends as it helps inspire what I want to add to my wardrobe/uniform. I almost never latch on to a trend completely but it's fun to take bits and pieces of what cool stuff is happening and incorporating it into my own style
PVV echoing what someone else said in the comments below about using a kind of boom mic instead of the SM7b. The SM7b is a staple, but it needs to be hella up close for it to really shine. A boom mic will help make sure your audio can be heard and your fly tie will be seen.
im from tokyo and ive been watching you for a fat min and tokyo's summers get unbearingly hot ash so i actually think that stacking accessories in the summer is even more pronounced than in the colder months.
I don't know if anybody else feels that way or it's just the way i am orienting myself style wise but I think flared pants and overall 70's style pants are being more and more styled of course with a 2024 twist to it, maybe they are making a comeback.

Not to mention trends can also have a place in anyone's wardrobe so it's good for inspiration and such
Trends are cool but as far as boots go, my attention goes to heritage boots. I know Tims are more accessible but I’ll put a pair of Visvim boots against timberland all day plus I’ll keep them forever
#ppv watching videos about trends gives me new insight into who might be popular or even introduces me to new things I never heard about. I think it's most interesting when it's what someone would like to see more of. In a sense, just being to hear someone's opinions and takes on things. It's also super interesting to see things that weren't popular become popular, yet see how the silhouette is given nuance. With where skirts or dresses over jeans was something I didn't think would become so popular. I remember when I did it as a kid and it was seen as weird, and even watching people's opinions on the disney stars wearing skirts/dresses over jeans. With the examples you showed though, there's definitely a nuance to the silhouette. It's more balanced since it plays with wider shapes and textures. It's interesting seeing what changes in things that are brought back into rotation
It’s tough for me to see what’s actually happening in the fashion world because of where I live… Nashville. There’s no fashion here. But NYC has so much more. That’s where actual stylish fashionable ppl can shine. I don’t give too much of a dam about trends since I set them instead of following… but it’s nice to see what’s moving and developing.
#pvv I believe videos like this are so popular because people want to know what is trending to stay relevant. Fashion trends come and go overtime, as someone over the age of 40 i don't want to look like i am stuck in an era that shows my age. Fashion keeps me looking far more youthful than any botox or skincare product could on the planet. It also gives me a chance to pull out something from the closest i haven't worn in years. ✌🏻

I watch trend videos more frequently as they seem to encapsulate more of an overarching theme across fashion rather than a personal style video. As they are more broad, I can find more things to incorporate into my style that I wouldn't have thought about otherwise. Furthermore, it's just fun to see what different areas in the world wear and how it all co-exist and these videos are as stated earlier, fairly broad such as the segment about balloon denim and skirts which I don't see in my area very often if at all. #FFFL #PPV
PVV For me its important to know what is trending in order to respond to the trends. Maybe i will buy into it or just find alterations of the trends, but long story short its i don't think its the best type of content (compared to yours for example) but it is necessary for me

I agree with u for the rest of the vid besides the accessories part. All the accessories fits u shouted were spring summer fits bc that’s when u don’t need layers to cover up things like your wrist or gloves to cover your fingers. Maybe for accessories like ties and ushankas they r more F/W adjacent but all other accessories fall more into S/S imo #pvv I don’t really care abt the trends for myself jus learning them for better knowledge of modern fashion
I feel like Cores are still a big thing, but me personally I’ve grown tired of fitting into certain cores. Literally every fashion boy and girl look the same in a sense here in Germany and it has gotten boring. Fashion itself has become a trend in my school, almost everyone looks good now from 7th grade onwards but few have personal style, it just feels like copying rn
