Yes, unfortunately we get them somewhat frequently and I've lived here most of my life. There's high water marks on the second floor of many buildings throughout VT from historical floods. Many of the dams built here were originally for flood control. I've never seen two big ones in back to back years though. Last year on the exact same date, we had a big one too!! Definitely crazy! Hello! I'm assuming you mean at the big reservoir near the end? I know that one was built for flood prevention, so they don't want to let a lot out at once but it will overflow down the falls, if it gets high enough. That town actually flooded some this time. The upper section of it had a few feet of water in the streets! 😬
