For those wondering why GM decided to use the turbo 2.5L engine instead of a V6 in this car, we explain that in this article: gmauthority.com/blog/2024/06/heres-why-2024-chevy-traverse-uses-2-5l-turbo-engine-and-not-a-v6/ - Alex

I waited several months for this truck to arrive, and I got the second one delivered to my dealer down here in South Florida. I love the look of the exterior buddy does have some very disappointing shortcomings. The truck has a severe engine noise, problem when accelerating quickly as going onto the Turnpike or I 95 it sounds like it has a chainsaw motor under the hood. Very disappointing for GM to produce a car at this price level and have such an issue. The car also supposed to have a noise canceling system if it does and the invoice says it does it is not working properly. I stopped by the dealer the other day and mentioned a few items and they told me they had no history of a noise problem with this vehicle, but in fact, the Internet has many. I would be very cautious if you're considering buying this car it's great when it runs down the road and not under heavy acceleration but the noise drives me crazy. I think GM could have done so much more on a $60,000 vehicle.

Looking like a solid option but you can tell where the bean counters still win. A denali without auto up and down windows? Like why save money on that?

Excellent and detailed interior info. Do you know if you have to pay a monthly subscription fee for Super Cruise.

Be ware of 3rd row headrests on Denali trim. The electric folding headrests are failing in many instances. Mine are both not working from day one. Dealer can not repair or replace because there are no parts available. No fix in sight as far as I know. I missed it on delivery and I reported it day one but they wouldn’t take it back. I’m currently waiting for GM to help. We shall see how this plays out. Very disappointing.

Thank you for a great video. But I’m concerned about switching from high beams to dimming. Is it done automatically with Intelli-Beam?

I'm so disappointed in GM for the engine they put in the new Acadia & Traverse. My wife and I test drove one 2 days ago for her next SUV. We were so unhappy. It's very underpowered and works way to hard going up just slight hills. Should have stuck with the naturally aspirated V6. I mean, the Yukon, which is not much bigger now, has a V8! The interior is nice and we were pleased with everything except the engine. Shame!

@Mikemalone007 Yeah, I hear you on that. We recently wrote on GM Authority why they decided to use the turbo 2.5L instead of a V6 here: gmauthority.com/blog/2024/06/heres-why-2024-chevy-traverse-uses-2-5l-turbo-engine-and-not-a-v6/ - Alex

The new 2.5l 4-cylinder engine actually has more Hp and more torque than the old V6; and it occurs at lower rpm which is more accessible. I think you are confusing noise with a lack of power.

But critics say that these engines will fail way before a V6. I don’t know the truth.

Who desided that chrome is luxurious, when the American car industry will remove chrome parts from the high trim configurations, well, or give a choice. I would like to buy GMC Acadia Denali, but I will refuse to buy only chrome parts.

The AT4 trim does not have any chrome.

However, it’s not high trim, I want maximum without chrome. Why German, Japan or Korea offering it

Did you get the build date on that GMC? Was this a GM press car?

Hello great review, do you recommend waiting for the 2025 model or is the 24 good enough??
@Motrolix

Thank you for the kind words! I don't foresee much of a difference between the 24 and 25 model years, so 24 should do just fine. Thanks for the question. - Alex

Wait. Multiple issues. Mine included the 3rd row seats. Headrests and seat do not work.

Are you referring to the driver's armrest issue? If so, the issue is that this condition does not happen on any other vehicle, regardless of the softness of the material. The problem is that the armrest is not bolted or fastened down in enough places to prevent it from sagging/moving down. Nothing to do with the finishing material, but rather the way the material underneath is fastened. - Alex
