I have a sierra with the premium red and ordered one in the same red but as soon as I saw this video, I changed my order to be built in this purple. It looks sick with the black edition, it will have all options and all packages lol
These are pretty cool. Not so sure about the power train. Should of kept the v-6 and added a low pressure turbo for emissions. I’m so glad we bought a 2021 sequoia the last of the great V8 engines 🤙 get one before the good ones are gone.
The materials are likely identical, just renamed. As for the shape, I would guess they are very very similar if not the same also. The only big difference would be the manual seats vs power.
This looks a lot more like a generic mommy mobile compared to the Traverse. I like the front end, but the rest is very meh, kinda give Subaru Ascent vibes.
I love the wheel color on this paint but the design could be better. I will say these 20" wheels look better than the 18" standard ones on the Traverse LT.
We have an Elevation ordered with the panoramic sunroof in the white frost metallic and Gideon gray interior. The Acadia seems a bit more premium than the Traverse. We like the exterior look better as well. Thanks for the Elevation video, as there have not been many posted.
Great choice! Did you opt for the Luxury Package? I would likely build one with Luxury Package, Pano Roof, and Tow Package. This would keep the price at or below $50k.
@@ChrisChristenson-py2bw Besides the ridiculous jacked up price, was there any noticeable difference for you between what you're getting and the Denali trim? I'm thinking of getting this as my next vehicle. I'd love the Denali trim, but would not love the Denali price tag. Thank you!
How can GM continue to not provide ventilated seats on $50,000 vehicles? Huge miss compared to its competition. Yes, I know it is standard on highest trims from Chevy, Buick, and GMC, but it is not even an option on other trim levels.
Honestly, I would not want ventilated seats. My 2020 Highlander Platinum came with ventilated seats. Turns out that the metal pipes feeding the cold air make the seat as hard as a park bench.
@martymcfly256 Ventilated seats are awesome. I have them in both of my vehicles, and they make the seats more comfortable. It is a deal-breaker for me.
You can get ventilated front seats on the AT4 if you choose luxury package which is about $1,150 extra so in total you'll pay about $52,000 which is not bad when the AT4 starts at $51,000 and that's the next trim up before the Denali trim so overall good price
Sadly, there is no lane centering function on any trim. GM forces you to buy the expensive Super Cruise package in order to get a lane centering function! Other manufacturers provide the lane centering function as part of their driver assist technology (DAT).
How is the interior quality compared to the Traverse? I know the Traverse is greatly improved in that aspect compared to the prior generation but some bits still feel a bit cheap for the price point.
It's very similar honestly. There are some cheaper materials on certain bits but it's pretty good overall. I'll have more in depth impressions once I can drive one.
you need to address the greed factor these auto companies are starting to embrace with their "pay-to-play" features. I have been a loyal GM customer for over 30 years. I, for one, will be looking for an alternative to GM next time because I am not interested in a monthly bill in order to use the features of the vehicle I already paid for. It may prove impossible to purchase a new auto without, in which case, I will be actively searching the used market for a suitable older vehicle and i will happily do whatever I need to maintain it. The thought of purchasing a $60,000 auto and then having to pay a fee to use it's installed options is just one step too far in my book and I am certain there are many who agree with me. Not that the auto makers will care....
Both. These are showing up as dealer stock or presold as we speak. You should be able to place an order with your local dealer as well if they have allocation.
Do not buy. They ALL are coming off the line with third row that can’t fold and no ETA on replacement parts. Had mine a month. Google “2024 Acadia Third Row Headrests” had mine a month, no ETA repair, can’t put my dogs in the back
Looks like a rental car in commercials. 2024 Traverse RS looks sportier with 22 inch factory rims , better tailights, and way better dash setup...it actually looks like it may be the 2021 gen Escalade screen 15:18
So would someone get this or the Cadillac XT6? I see both similar priced and seems to be same market. My parents test drove this when they were in looking at the Buick Enclave but they want to test drive an XT6. Is Cadillac cachet worth going to even though it's with something last gen like the XT6?
This is the trim and color I would like to order for my next car, with Panorama roof with HUD Option, but is 8 Seater an Option extra or the prices is same as 7 Seater?
Unfortunately there is no way to order any Acadia with an 8 seat configuration at this time. They originally announced the Elevation would have that option but have since gotten rid of that ability. We shall see if they bring it back or not.
@@CarsMadeSimple Thanks for the update, I checked the GMC website and now they have updated from Available 8 Seats to 7 Seater for all Trims. I see AWD Button on the Dash what is that for, is it a Part time AWD and is this option only on AWD models and Not on FWD?
@@yourockmyworld-cra2graGM’s AWD implementation is odd. Unlike most other vehicles that will automatically transfer power to the rear wheels when the front wheels slip, GM’s system will remain in FWD by default, and will only operate in AWD when you manually press that AWD button.
I can tell you the GMC is holding a drive event in June. I think many reviewers are just waiting to go to event. I doubt they have press vehicles out in the wild yet. I think at that same event they’re going to show off the new Terrain and the refreshed Yukon.
The dash seems to be the most polarizing feature. Traverse setup seems to be a knockout. Acadia is looking dated in that area. Came for the more premium vibe/features and it does seem to check some of those boxes as in the HUD for example.
No way you said the traverse set is a knockout when the traverse copied it's front end look from the new Mitsubishi outlander lmao go look. Acadia kills the traverse in looks both exterior and interior and don't see where you saying the Acadia is looking dated when it's not, completely new look from the last generation and has waaay more features and technology then the traverse
@@raremane460 ok. The elongated vertical rectangle center screen screams what Ram trucks have been doing for probably the last 7-8 years. The physical controls at the bottom of the screen look like an afterthought. Whereas on the traverse the toggle switch climate controls actually good to me. I dont care that I’ve seen the style before as you say in the outlander or I in the Ram. But when Ram just slapped a big screen on there 7-8 years ago it seemed like the best that could be done. Now I think the more integrated look of the Traverse console is making best use of technology and style. Overall for the money, the GM has better features/options especially at the price point, which I said in my OP. As for looks… idk. The Travers looks bold and kinda badass. I was surprised by the Acadia looking kinda wimpy and giving me old Cadillac vibes. I like the color.
@@NoNameFish247 The infotainment screen looks NOTHING like the ram trucks screens lmao nice try tho and looks nothing like Cadillac. Bro just face the facts that Acadia is WAAAAY BETTER and has MORE features and tech that you can't get in the traverse lmao. Chevy is robbing you dude lmao just admit it Chevy literally copied Mitsubishi on the looks as others said same thing and would literally choose the Acadia over the traverse EASY
@@NoNameFish247 Cadillac put their exact same screens from the escalades in the new Chevys because they can't come up with their own infotainment design but we get it their both under GM lol don't get me wrong tho I would buy the new 2025 Chevy suburbans when they come out because they have a look nobody else has on the exterior and will provide more features and options than the traverse but still bro Acadia wins overall over the traverse any day!
It does not. That is something that is listed as standard equipment on the 2025 Buick Enclave though. It could be a feature used to differentiate the three models that are now the same size.
Actually it does have that with 9 available cameras, and it also has 4k resolution front dash cam recorder and 32gb SD card you would have to add it under interior options and go to electronics options. The gmc website will tell you more
@@CarsMadeSimple Actualy it described in Acadia 2024 manual. "Surround Vision Recorder - If equipped, this system records video from the surround vision cameras to a USB flash drive." - and i ask becouse this "If equipped"
I don't see any reason to pay more for the Acadia when the Traverse is the same vehicle, is cheaper and looks better. That's why I ordered a Traverse Z71 in red.
My comparison videos go over the features you can get on the Acadia that you can't get on the Traverse. That would be the reason someone may opt for the Acadia over the Traverse outside of design/interior preference.
Bro traverse literally does NOT look better than the Acadia. Acadia dominates the traverse in looks and features. Traverse literally looks similar to the Mitsubishi outlander in the exterior front face. Same design lmao traverse stole mitsubishi's idea. You only chose the z71 just cause of little more torque lmao
One more thing you saying traverse is cheaper when it isn't. You ordered a z71 compared to the GMC AT4......The z71 super cruise package cost more than the AT4 super cruise package. The AT4 has way more standard features and better technology than the AT4 at no additional cost but on the z71 you have to pay extra for lmao. The AT4 has better sound system with more speakers which both systems are by Bose than the z71 and the list goes on.......once again GMC wins over your logic. Chevy copied Mitsubishi on the exterior look lmao
