@@rpkettit’s getting a little towards a normal market with discounts up to $10K, however, the prices have never been higher… Prices over time never go down, unfortunately.
I get my low mile 2020 3500 HD Denali serviced at the same Jerry Seiner location and have noticed they went from zero in stock 3500HD's to the parking lots packed full of new HD's in the less than 6 months. I think the reason they're not moving (besides high price), is also the high interest rates. I would love to upgrade to the 2024, but I just can't justify spending $35,000 more than I spent less than 4 years ago for basically the same truck. It's a lot of factors, but the total cost of ownership ( price, interest, insurance, taxes, junk fees, trade depreciation, registration and titling) just can be justified in today's tough economic environment.
I'm literally following the same line of thinking. I have a 2021 2500 Denali and would have no issues getting the newer model but between the higher MSRP's and the higher rates, it doesn't make any sense even when I try to justify it internally :)
It's simple, you want the truck to sell, lower the price. At that price. You start adding different packages for it, or adding Black trim instead of chrome, they will raise the price even more. Then your right back where you started. Why get a Denali, when you can get the Denali Ultimate. LOWER THE PRICE.
2024 AT4HD 2500 duramax owner here and yes the price is high but it's a work truck. It's makes money and paid itself off. Don't make it a pavement princess. It's a work horse. Work it!
If they want my business they need to change the rims, fix the shifter blocking the display, make both mirrors power adjustable, add super cruise and remove the requirement to have subscription to keep the speed limit sign in the heads up display and to keep super cruise working. I want to be able to disable the tailgate open button as it’s in a stupid spot and I don’t want it dropping when towing.. I’d also like a gray color choice.
GM is great now. Price is actually good. Cummins vs Duramax, I've had both, I rate Cummins better if you don't mind the maintenance expense. Duramax seems easier to maintain yourself or at an oil changer place.
JB I have a 2020 Ram 3500 Limited Mega cab. I went and looked at a Ultimate 3500, beautiful truck and has some electronics that GM has always been ahead with. BUT no air ride ,no exhaust brake? and I am spoiled with the room my mega cab has, seat aren't near as comfortable, hard and back has no adjustment and no storage behind seats.. I don't know about towing with it but I'm t leary of buying one.
I think if GM were to go the blacked out route with the regular Denali, it would have to be an optional package like the Black Diamond was. One of the differentiating elements of the Denali Ultimate is the standard equipped blacked out appearance.
can someone explain to me MSRP has it listed with the suggested price and then all the add-ons had more money to it for the final price? i’ve heard of trucks selling below MSRP is that the first price that he said 75?
Prices have gone nuts in the last few years. I bought a 2017 in Oct. '17, after the '18s had come out. I got the Sierra All Terrain package, which is the same as Chevy's High Country. Sticker was $67k. I paid $42k, since it was one of the last 2017 at the dealer. Same truck today is over $80k. That's just plain ignorant.
This is the trouble with the endless high trim packages. Now a Denali is not the top trim lol. And it’s getting held back so the Denali Ultimate can exist. Regardless though this is a very nice truck. Very expensive but I like this exterior better than the Ultimate personally. Not crazy about the wheels but they are leaps and bounds better than the black 20s.
It's all personal preference, but IMO you can get the Chevy LTZ premium and have all those features and save 10 grand. I bought a 2024 LTZ duramax for 73k (sticker was 80k). The Denali exterior does look quite nice but the new Chevy's look great too. Interior the chevy is better IMO. Why put the break controller in the center... Takes up valuable storage space. They're both awesome trucks. I've seen a few 24 Denali's on the road and they look mean. Really stick out.
I can’t wait to see what ram does in 2025. I own a 2023 ram 3500. Hopefully in 2025 we’ll see JB back home in a Cummins. I’m sure a lot of people will switch back to a Cummins. If they fix the hydraulic lifters and go back to 4th gen style and they upgrade interior and exterior front end to compete with ford it will be a no brainer for most guys. But they have to keep the pricing inline with ford and gm like they are right now. Good video as always
Really, no 12 volt accessory plug in the Cab? I have at least 4 things that require a 12 volt accessory plug. GM is forgetting how trucks are actually used and with what accessories.
I've always been a GM person. 3rd generation GM truck product owner. I had an LLY Duramax and LML Duramax. Currently own a 2024 LM2 Duramax Yukon, 2022 Silverado 1500 (has 10 speed with a developing transmission shudder), and a '97 OBS Chevy k1500. I have to say, I will not make another GM purchase. Ford and Ram just stomp on GM's interior. I feel cheated out of my money when I step into a new F150 or a current Ram. Disappointing for sure.
All I know is that I’m tired of reading the comments and the same old comments about how high the prices are on a new truck. Can’t afford then don’t buy it and wait for a used one. I think this truck looks a little gaudy and I personally do not care for the body lines. It doesn’t flow and the wheel arches are horrid and they look even worse color matched. Don’t get me started on the dumbo ear mirrors, wing on rear window, wheels, chrome on hood, poor visibility, uncomfortable seats etc. There’s a lot not to like. Don’t see all the hyper around the GM trucks in general. I prefer the dated Ram or a Super Duty, at least the Ford has the tech and power. I had an opportunity to have e one of these for about half a year. I don’t care for it. Maybe that’s why it’s not selling.
Denali is suppose to be high end luxury. GM needs to drop the chrome and focus on unique high end luxury paint colors and wheels. Something that a “wife” would think is “beautiful” and premium. That would separate it from the ATX off-road look. Right now Denali is stuck between the Ultimate and ATX.
Lose those acres of Grand-pappy chrome & I'd be into it. As I round the corner into my mid-50's, I am not so enamored of all that chrome on newer vehicles. Don't get me wrong, I love chrome, only on vehicles from the 80's & older though. GM & Ford need to offer more BAP options on their entire range of p/u trucks. All of that chrome looks like someone went on an aftermarket shopping spree at PepBoys and/or JC Whitney!!! I really wanted to order a '24 Ford F150 Lariat w/ 5.0 & 6.5ft bed, however a BAP is not available with that bed length!!
GMC, Chevy, Ford, RAM, and even Toyota can all go kick rocks. I hope those trucks sit there and rot. If more people would just walk away, maybe, just maybe these prices would come back down to earth. There's no way that truck is worth $92K, no way, I will never fall for this BS. I will drive my 2019 Tundra until the cows come home.
92 k @ 7 percent interest….most of us can’t afford this let along have a nice house,Camper, fishing boat …etc Bidenomics have left us poor hardworking working harder than ever
In-line with inflation and inflation is here because of who ? 92 g is a deal wtf? By the way are you hiring ? Wuppee shit on the paint and bilstien 5100s should be stick for that money. The problem is people are paying the money and don't forget the great interest rates
It's not selling because of the high price, ugly wheels, ugly body style, its missing some standard options that it should have at that price point, and last but not least, it's a GMC.
Why is it not selling?…..well lets start with the insane pricing. These manufacturers can inflate all they want, i won’t be giving any of them $. And the other factor is that at least this particular model is ugly as shit. These new trucks are not worth the insane money they want for them.
Those wheels are hideous. I hate to say it but they are. If I had the money to buy one, I would have them put on different wheels. Who signed off on those I don't know.....DEI I suspect.
The Denali comes with the multi-pro tailgate. Due to the design, it isn’t availabile with the power feature. The standard version of GM's tailgate does have the power feature however.
@@benjaminbrown7127 NO, I didn't have the Swiss army knife tailgate. Honestly, I wanted NONE of it, I wanted a handle that I manually pulled to open my gate. My 2024 F450 has all the electronic tailgate BS. Hate it. SOme things should be left alone.
