I just posted another Government Auction Video from a small town municipality where there were some cheap finds including a vehicle I won at the Auction! Go check it out!
I've had the best luck at government auctions, I've seen very low mileaged cars that are there for seemingly no reason and you could still save some money compared to buy at dealers
I always enjoy your videos also because many of those auctions are only a few hours away from me. I’m local to that auction but I prefer buying vehicles further south because sometimes I’ve bought rust free vehicles for around the same amount or less. I’d personally drive much farther south for less rust. They sometimes have decent vehicles but it’s not the norm. That Toyota was probably an undercover police vehicle or a seizure. I probably would have gone for that fire Explorer as it hasn’t seen hard police use. They probably needed the drivers seat for another one-it’s not unusual for fleets to pirate parts for other vehicles. Those trailer hitches are likely to transport bikes(bicycle patrol)or occasionally tow a radar sign to a location to set up. I’m hesitant to go for the Taurus/Explorer because of the water pump issue developing later on-it would have to be a really good deal. I always go for the crown Vic’s as I’ve never gone wrong with them.
2008 F250 power stroke with engine problems. 🤣 RUN FAST from that 6.4 I have seen a TON of 2016-18 Ford Utilities with bad 3.7l engines. Rod knocks. No issues with the water pumps in them though. Those old Durangos, I bought a ton of those 7-10 years. They were super cheap at the time, like $1500-2000 range. I have never seen a bad trans in one. The 4.7l occasionally dropped valve seats if overheated, but overall solid vehicles.
I'm just looking for a half ton regular cab 4x4 pickup I can't believe how much they want for them. then I look for police SUVs same thing. Fire department SUVs and pickups same thing insane amount of money compared to 2018
