The real crime is that car companies are allowed to offer 8 year loans on cars. Most cars are worth nothing after 8 years. Many have been deceived into thinking a car is an investment. Its no different than a household appliance and should be priced accordingly.

That’s brutal and setting buyers up for failure. Buyers need to exercise restraint and if they can’t afford within 4-5 years then they should try something different
@jonathantaylor6926

Not only that they will let you roll in negative equity into a 84 month loan.. the person leaves the dealership already $15,000+ upside down on a car with 3 miles.
@Taylormademan900
@Taylormademan900 Месяц назад
I agree. A car should be looked at as more of a tool. Where it helps you get things done faster. I financed a vehicle for 8 years. After paying almost $700 X 96 months. I was losing my mind. The car ended up being almost 70 grand. Then 3 months after paying it off the transmission and radiator goes. The car after 6 years started looking completely used. Even the interior parts were falling off.
@Taylormademan900

@@artdeluxxe7647talk about it. 8 years on an FN Nissan Murano CVT transmission. The interior was wrecked as Nissan uses cheap plastics. I even opened the car door and the handle came off costing me $400 to replace it. While I was making the $689 a month car payment.

@MrSupernova111 Месяц назад
Those prices are insane! Most people make $60k or less and these manufacturers want to enslave buyers with 7-8 year loans for vehicles that are lucky to make it that far without major repairs. We need a major reset.
@markholubetz
@markholubetz Месяц назад
Yes we do
@MK-fc2hn
@MK-fc2hn Месяц назад
The reset starts with the buyer.. the person who signs on the dotted line. Nobody is enslaving the buyer, except themselves if they buy more than their budget would call for. Most automobile buyers have the option to buy a used car or to buy a sensible new car that costs 400 to 500 per month or less. (I just bought a fully loaded 2024 Elantra N-Line sedan in that price range despite the fact that I could presently afford a vehicle that costs double the cost) So while it's true that expensive vehicles are ubiquitous today, lower priced options are still available for buyers to avoid those insanely high monthly payments. They just have to reset their expectations and stop trying to keep up with the Jones's. Because the neigbor with the 900 plus dollar per month payment might have a nice ride, but they are also far more likely to regret the burden they put on themselves, if not this year, then at some point during the financing term they signed onto.
@jongenness3509
@jongenness3509 Месяц назад
@@MK-fc2hnor can stop defending these clown/greedy vehicle prices. Yes people are stupid and buy stuff they can’t afford,but just because someone is willing to go head over heels in debt doesn’t mean they should drive them up as much as humanly possible and hurt these people more then they should. They wouldn’t have vehicles sitting on the lot for 250 days if they made reasonable priced vehicles. 115000 dollar truck the dollar has been killed now everyone’s living in debt and that’s why they’re able to get away with this circus.
@MK-fc2hn
@MK-fc2hn Месяц назад
@@jongenness3509 It starts and ends with personal responsibility. Just because there are products out there that used to cost less, but are now demanding insane prices, does not mean that consumers are off the hook for the choices they make in a FREE MARKET economy. If you think otherwise, then what you are really saying is that you think consumers are entitled to have these products for lower cost and that the dealers bear responsibility for the financial pain felt by those who really really wanted their products despite the burden they would put on their own PERSONAL budgets. There has always been the possibility for people to buy "more car" than they could afford. It's nothing new. Even a guy who can afford a Porsche can get in trouble if he decides to go all out and buy himself a Bentley instead. And going beyond your means can and does extend to every other sector of the consumer economy. So it's not about defending these dealers. ( I am actually taking joy in their misery 😆) But it's about applying a general rule across the board that the consumer bears responsibility for his or her choices. The reset will only occur when consumers as a whole put financial responsibility at the forefront and say "no thanks" to these dealers (or other choice words). And that is a process underway as we speak.

Less production at the same profit seems like a no brainer. For those who can’t afford a truck, it’s the cheap small sedans or used inventory for you! You can buy any model vehicle right now used 2010 or older, get a wax and shine detail and replace the headlamps, taillights, and every incandescent bulb in it with 6000k white LEDs and it will just look like the 2025 model. Add some extra led strips for the inner cabin lighting or just mounting a 10" android tablet over the radio or dash will make it even more believable.😂 I replaced all outer inner lights in both my 07 and 12 cars with aftermarket LEDs and people always think they're newer models.

Men min Suzuki startade hela vintern.

Those cars aren't selling because all those salespeople are stuffing their big bellies at Zambelli's...or at church praying for more customers/suckers. Another possibility is they're at a psychiatrist trying to figure out why they became a car salesman in the first place!

The only thing that will save these dealers and manufacturers are the need to put the prices back where they belong. If they won’t than let them go under good riddance. And one vehicle we won’t buy are the EVs so some company is going to make a good vehicle and Corner the market and bank 🏦.

Who cares? Nobody can afford them anyway. Personally, I hope they all go broke so we can return to reasonable pricing. Its the same for the housing market as well. We are at a 19% foreclosure rate right now in the housing market. Its usually considered high at about a 4% foreclosure rate. Besides,, everyone has finally gotten fed up with the lower quality of cars and the inflated prices to cover expenses. Lets face it, if you cant get it paid for before it has to be repaired in a five year period, why would the public continue purchasing from companies like that.
