who are you rooting for to win & who do you think got snubbed? let me know in the comments!! instagram: imthehonestboy twitter: imthehonestboy business inquires: muyhonest@gmail.com
honestly all i really want is for SOS to win album of the year. it’s the best album on the list and a black woman hasn’t won the category in like over 20 years 😭
@@bigbootyboy420right. the album is so long for no reason lol. could've closed it with Smoking On My Ex Pack or Nobody Gets Me but she squeezed in another 8-10 songs lol
yeah bu t taylor is prob gonna sweep sadly, i feel like sza is gonna leave with like two grammies. i personally feel like sos is the better album but yk
@@burnt.nortonI'm so exhausted of this rhetoric that all her fans are white girls. I'm a poc and I guarentee you i'm a bigger fan that 95% of these straight white girls. So you can leave.
@@jesterbob828 she was nominated like 6 times for ctrl and lost all of them, imagine what they'll do to SOS. she ONLY won a grammy because of her pop collaboration in kiss me more, they're playing with her lmao
All I know is that Taylor, Olivia, and Billie are going to win AT LEAST one Grammy. I really hope SZA and Victoria win something, they both deserve it; same for Halle, I hope she wins the only Grammy nomination she got for “Angel.”
olivia was robbed this album was so much better than sour, dont get me wrong i love sour but this album was golden. SOS is just as good. I feel like vampire definitely deserved at least one win
Remixes are supposed to add something to the orignal song, not make it worst. For instance Cardi B being featured in Bruno's song Finesse made that song so much better. Have you guys heard the orginal version? It was so bland. Ice Spice and Taylor Swift is still the weirdest, most bizarre, collab I've heard in a while. They don't mesh the same way as Ice Spice does with Nicki.
Miley deserves a Grammy a long time ago. Her first #1 album was dropped 18 years ago and she keeps slaying the game and has the biggest song of the year that broke many records
The continued success that Travis Scott is seeing is CRAZY to me after so many people died at his concert. And it’s no shade to the man, I just don’t get it!
Kelly Clarkson doesn't make bad albums. She's one of the best singers of our generation. "Chemistry" is her most vulnerable and vocally eclectic album. She sings circles around almost every artist nominated.
Agree I don’t understand why this guy has to hate on her. It was so unnecessary like all he can say was that it was terrible without even specifying why. He’s such a picky music critic. Not everything has to be groundbreaking to be good. Some singers just love what they do and create what they want and that’s okay.
sza, janelle monae, miley cyrus, and victoria monet definitely deserve to walk away with at least one grammy. sza deserves to sweep too, i really hope she doesn’t get done dirty
Huh, why? She should win Pop Vocal Album and Song of the year at least! She has "only" won two Grammys this entire decade. Aoty in 2021 and Best Music Video last year, which wasn't even presented on the main show. Every time she is nominated she is losing more nominations than winning. Y'all act like she is sweeping there every year.
@@eliasbaumgarten6264 they might not mean grammys, but in general. Taylor DOMINATED the vma's (which, by some strange coincidence, are fan-voted awards...) and she's been everywhere since her album dropped. I ain't saying she's not talented, but her trophy room has to be getting full by now.. let's give somebody else a chance.
@@shampooedcows I agree but she deserves Soty and Pop Vocal Album. Also, the Vmas and Amas are fan-voted and the Bbmas are based on charting. No wonder she is winning. Billboard even changed the egibility for their award show because of her huge success by taking out the first two release weeks of Midnights. That's not her fault. She is winning and succeeding fair-square. I think she should be fairly considered for every award show without organisations changing rules, dates and charts in an attempt to uplift smaller or less successful musicians. This goes for the Grammys as well.
Sza will win AOTY, ain’t no way she loses. Only way she does is if Taylor and her team politics their way into winning her fourth AOTY trophy, which incidentally the narrative is that she will become the first woman and only person to win the top prize four times in the history of the award’s show.
@@Yola.violet598There was literally nothing there that hasn't been done before by better artists and when you're at rock bottom, the only way to go is up.
ESV was pretty good, although Plastic Hearts remains to be the best album Miley’s written. I also agree SZA’s had an amazing year. Since I don’t listen to Victoria Monét, I can’t necessarily pinpoint whether she’s had a good year or not. But since she does have Grammy nominations I assume she’s good
Honestly, Travis Scott doesn’t even deserve to be nominated at the Grammy’s ever again considering what happened at his concert where about 10 fans died (some of them were young kids) back in 2021 and Travis did absolutely nothing about it!
Definetly! Tension deserved a spot in Best Pop Album, for me it was one of the best pop albums this year, literally no skips and every song tells a story. I love her sm and i would hate if she gets snobbed
@@emmatemesiomusic I agree. But I would be fine if the award went to Troye Sivan's "Rush" he's also underrated. Although "Something to Give Each Other" was plagued with too many ballads imo. 💯
I wish Lana gets a grammy. It's over due. A&W is one of her best songs ever. I do love Taylor but i hate that she will take something that night, this is not her album. On another note: I like how you sound in this video in particular
the only reason i want barbie world to win one of the 2 nominations is because Nicki was essentially blackballed from the grammy's after her roman's holiday performance. She 100% deserves an award, and tbh with you, I do think that song is good, I enjoy it a lot, so it would be nice, though, i wish it was a song from her own bodies of work like pinkprint or queen
Nicki is still blackballed unfortunately. Despite her unbelievable talent, critics are too far up their own butts to get over themselves and give her an accolade.
Hopefully Black artist especially SZA wins some of the most prestigious awards that night. It's sad that Black American artist are marginalized into Urban categories of music like Hip Hop and r&b yet every genre of music from Rock to Country to EDM originated from the African American community and have been stolen and white washed due to racist institutions like government, media, radio, music industry and white award shows, etc 😑😑😑 African American artist are always disregarded and portrayed as stereotypes across Pop culture. Plus these award shows like the Grammys are not off of merit allegedly. These awards shows are allegedly based off of racism, proximity to whiteness, politics and favoritism, payola, and sinister things to acquire those awards allegedly 🙄🙄😑😑😑
The reason I watch you, Todd, Sean Fay Wolfe, Lyzette, Mr 96 and Double Agent is because I'm not the biggest music nerd. I go to RU-vid for reviews/theory videos and I want to know what the best music to listen to is. I barely watch or listen to anything unless I already grew up listening to it or someone's reviewed it. And when it comes to award prediction videos, there's always the discussion about whether certain artists deserved the recognition. Personally, I can't help but think of the artists who could've been just as successful if their careers weren't ruined by circumstances beyond their control like Michelle Branch or JoJo. Edit: Michelle, in particular, has a lot in common with Olivia Rodrigo. Both are Asian American pop rock artists and were 18 when they released their debut single which just so happens to be about romance and became the biggest hits of their careers. And they debuted just 20 years apart from each other! Olivia also idolizes Taylor Swift but Taylor Swift idolized Michelle Branch. There's an article you can find how Taylor geeked out when she met Michelle in Nashville because Michelle was making country music during that time. There's even a video of Taylor covering All You Wanted at a concert in Michelle's birthplace of Phoenix!
I hope SZA, coco jones or Victoria Monet win. R&b had a good year. Tho I won’t be surprised if Taylor wins again smh lol. I love her, but she’s been winning too much.
apparently this is summer's first grammy nom for her own album. while i doubt she'll win, still proud nonetheless. this was just an ep as well, her previous 2 albums were much more deserving (especially "over it" as it's the most cohesive) but ig it's nice that they're finally recognizing her :)
Thank you! I shall proceed to check out all these nominations. I'm friends with someone who's band was once nominated to be nominated for a Grammy. Pretty cool! We were all so hopeful.
In all honesty, they should simply skip Taylor since she's alwready won enough and she ain't doing anything groundbreaking and the spot she takes in so many categories could have been given to so many others who get ignored endlessly.
Okay, considering Kylie Minogue has only won ONE Grammy, and it was well into her career by that point (Best Dance Song for ‘Come Into My World’, 2004), that would be so cool if she came through & won this one for ‘Padam Padam’! ❤️ Tbh I didn’t even know about her previous Grammy win, 19 years ago. lol. But ‘CIMW’ was definitely award-worthy, in my mind, as was the entire _Fever_ album. Kinda random that that won, when it did, too. The album was released summer of 2001. And it was her biggest US album to-date, for sure. That was a pretty epic time for her, from 2000-’05... all of her music since then has been so amazing as well, and all so different, yet still staying very true to the “signature” Kylie. Her albums _X_ , _Body Language_ & _Aphrodite_ are, to me all vastly different but all equally worthy of more recognition than they received… outside of Australia & Europe, at least.
YESSSS, Caroline Polachek SHOULD'VE been nominated in more categories, for only 1 that's already a snub. Artist that should've have been AT LEAST nominated are Tinashe and Kelela, both have been in the industry FOR YEARS and they don't get the recognition they truly deserve.
All I know is that Victoria Monet, Coco Jones, Halle Bailey and SZA better sweep those Grammys . I want more talented black women getting recognition and praise
I hope Kylie wins in her category, she definitely deserves it!!This song should have been bigger here in the US!!Great to see how many best of the year lists it has made it on!!
i love solana & SOS with all my heart, but even after a year of it being released i still don't understand the hype over "kill bill". it had a cute tiktok run & her performances made it grow on me, but i don't see it as a fair winner to the categories it's in. even SZA said, she has many better songs. also it's much more on the "pop" side, but they keep putting it in ""r&b" because that's all they see her as...
as much as i love taylor and am a huge swiftie. midnights is def not her best work and sza should 100% win aoty, her or lane would be awesome. i do think antihero deserves either roty or soty just bc of the amazing year taylor has had, she has defined this last year in so many ways and been such a pivotal person.
i feel like they are going to give the best rap album to either 21 savage and drake. or travis scott, it would be nice for metro boomin to get a grammy
The recording academy denied Kylie Minogue any nominations for the previous FIFTEEN years (she was last nominated for her album X in 2009). A second career Grammy win for Kylie with Padam Padam is the LEAST recording academy voters should owe her.
Honestly something I could have wrote when I was 12 after googling synonyms to make my basic vocabulary to impress my English teacher. Big words doesn’t mean big impact, others songs such as A&W don’t use those big words but mean so much more
I want coco jones to win so bad but I feel like it will go to ice spice cuz of the year that girl has had and she has 2 songs with nicki Minaj and a song with Taylor swift
