There’s a reason for not having both lights on at the same time. They’ve found that in night/low visibility conditions, people have mistaken two small lights close together as a distant car. Whereas a single light was more accurately viewed as a motorcycle. Now you know.

That's kinda cool, and from personal experience I've often thought cars with one headlight out, to be a motorcycle in the distance in the middle of the night. Now is it better that people know I'm a motorcycle or a car haha

Ive seen comments made on other review channels regarding this bike. One guy saying( dont be fooled, this is a superbike in sheeps clothing, and warning people not to buy this bike if trying to transition from cruiser bikes, small bikes, or no sport bike experience...this isnt the right bike for that transition). However, this is the 1st bike ive owned in 20 yrs, my last bike was a Honda Shadow 750...and ive had NO issues adjusting and feeling right at home on this bike. The drive modes make it easy to tame this beast. Twisting the throttle and being an idiot is completely a subjective matter.. never ride beyond your comfort zone is my opinion. What would your opinion be in regards sir?

I've always been a bit of a speed freak. I had to retake my license due to speeding in my car, so I decided to take a motorcycle license. I was in my mid 30's and luckily I started on an old cbr 600 from 94. Being a bit bored after a year I upgraded to a 2001 GSXR 750 thinking that was nothing, boy was I wrong. We had to pick up the bike 3 hours drive away and first time I wrenched the throttle I understood what riding beyond your ability and comfort zone meant. This bike has a lot of electronics to help you as well as ABS so a newer rider can easily learn to ride on it but this is not a bike you get and immediately try and max out. It will easily make you loose control and as you said use the drive modes get comfortable and get to learn the bike and your abilities. The bike can do a lot of things the caveat is the rider who has to learn to utilize the bikes potential.

@sypherian1982 well said sir. I couldn't agree more.while speed is fun at times In all essence, this bikes power is overkill at max capabilities. I bought it for its all around capabilites and the touring potential..this bike doesnt lack anywheres, very comfy and easy to handle..My personal opinion, it would be extremely foolish to take this bike, to that level. Riding sensible and responsible lends to using that power in spurts, 0-60 kinda thing, or passing up a car.. is a great way to feel that exhilarating power. Certainly not ride 150 mph everywhere ya go, or take foolish chances going 120 mph down the interstate, weaving through traffic.. or you will lose. Get hurt, or worse, killed. All it takes is 1 IDIOT on their cell phone, not paying attention to cut u off, and cut you down...or yourself make a quick mistake..why chance it? Those ride modes are there to aid you, but their not gonna protect you unfortunately...seems people mistake that

@sypherian1982 speaking of idiots, while going down the highway to work this morning, I saw this (girl/idiot) putting on make up while looking into her rearview mirror, and talking on the cell phone at the same time. Weaving all over the F%cking interstate...WTF????. I was on my GSX...needless to say, I certainly tapped into the bikes power banks to get very far away from that..lol...

Hi Owned one of these bikes since april 2022 one of the first registered in Scotland. I have been riding for 53 years owned so many bikes I have lost count, This is the best all round bike I have ever owned, plus points engine engine engine lol comfortable looks great not so good brakes I have done 12000 miles only used in summer I highly recommend this bike

This bike look and sound perfect…. I owned many Susuki’s in the past and was 100% satisfied with them. Last year bought a brand new 2023 KTM 890 advenute S!!!!!! What a mistake, the bike spent all summer at the dealer for so many troubles………. My future bike will be a Suzuki for sure and probably a GSX-S 1000 GT. Thanks for that realy good video even if your voice sounded bad a little. Take care and have a wonderfull 2024 year of riding safely.

Bought and rode mine from daytona Florida to Birmingham Alabama about 650 miles split between 2 days. only legitimate complaint is the fact that i cant adjust the windshield at 5’11 the wind coming off of it blasts my helmet its really only bad over 80mph tho. This is my 6th bike in my life time and will probably be rode untill it wont anymore lol the fact that its so dam comfortable. It has everything you want out of a gsxr 1000 with the option to just cruise and my wife loves it way more then my gen 2 busa

Just put a deposit down on one of these here in Oregon, same color and the pics of these in red really caught my attention. Went and looked at it and MAN, what a looker. Im 5'5" and i drive long for work right now 120miles per day so i need sonething thats reliable and able to carry some items, i had a gsxr 600 and right now a victory octane so i need sonething more comfortable and not going to the gas station twice a day, i have seen the bmw rs but its priced 20k and just want to make sure this fits my tour side and power when i need it also the price 14k im leaning towards this just hope the wind is not that much of a problem since i am short and that i can at least reach the grown

Just rode home my new s1000 gt. it really is a cool bike. head and shoulders better than the dl1050de i traded in on it. completely different animals, but,everything fits and feels better. Even the QS works more smoothly. this is the bike for me. very happy. the red paint is beautiful.

I wanted to purchase that same color so badly, 2 things keep me from getting it. at least a 3 position adjusted screen, and at night the head light is border line dangerous horrible. Never had a bike with a quick shifter, untill I tried it. it was amazing, smooth and powerful. For a stock exhaust when I tried it last year sounded great.

@@pedroc6823 i got lucky then. =) I got this color. I do find the screen to be great. I got the plus and i think it has a larger screen? but its just awesome for me. my face is in the wind, but i like that. Fatigue on the chest is non existant and the flow of the air is just smooth and comfy. I really think the lack of adjustment is a non issue. For the piles of miney you save for the "next best thing" you could get about 1000 aftermarket screens and diffusers till you are happy. Im 6'5" btw. Headlights i dont love, but honestly they are very good. They are just the new directional type where its not a large diffused area but crisply delineated "edges". I think a nice set of aux fills and they will be awesome. im looking for such as we speak actually.

Just picked up this bike a couple weeks ago. Such a sleeper of a bike and a steal for the price. Headlights do just fine. Little buzz in the pegs but I have not found a sport bike that doesn’t have one at times. Looking forward to many miles on it

Great review, totally agree with everything you mentioned. What i was most suprised by is how docile / friendly the bike is when you are just plodding along.. then absolutely does not disapoint when you are riding abit more enthusiastic. As you said sure footed but also feels nimble. Only notice the weight when you are wheeling it about. Also although you were corse, glad you feel well and glad that at least you are still kising the Mrs! 👍🏼😁👊🙌

Hi I have owned one of these bikes since April 2022 one of the first reg in Scotland at that time. have covered 13600 miles in that time 12 months in reality as I don't ride in winter good points engine engine engine lol comfortable handles great comfy looks great so so point brakes are poor tyres are dreadful seat gets sore after 150 miles I fitted metzler tyres fantastic changed front brake pads to ebc so much better I love this bike in fact am going to trade mine in this month and buy an other best bike I have ever owned love it

I liked this thing so much I bought it. It’s better than it has any right to be at that price. People moan about the brakes and higher cruising rpm on the freeway - no idea what they are talking about, it’s significantly better than the price suggests.

So I got my sport bike but I’m currently in the market for a new bike. I’m looking for something that’s comfortable to ride 300 miles without issues like riding a pure sport bike causes. YOUR reasons for wanting a bike like this is the exact same reason why I bought this bike. I wanted something that looked and sounded like a super bike but could ride like the comfort of a cruiser bike. THIS IS It! You will love it my friend. Not to mention it hauls ass with that K5 engine. It's the perfect commute bike. Like riding a rocket fitted with a lounge chair.

I have the GT, its one of the most buttery smooth bikes i have every ridden. Even if at 7k rpm you did get a little vibe, i can assure you it will be little. Also unless you are screaming at 120mph i dont think the tack will be that high. For me highway speeds i can barely tell the bike is running in top gear. You would need to be very sensitive to vibes to be bothered by this bike.

I'm thinking about getting my license and buying a bike. I was looking at a gsx1000 or a busa as my 1st bike. I definitely want to sit upright and at least 1000cc. The salesrep recommended the 1000gt.

I test rode both but ended up buying the GT because of the deal but in all honestly I think the Kawasaki is the better bike. I like the GT it is a superb bike but I wished I'd taken the bullet and got the Kawasaki.

@@williamrae9954 I've had 2 late model dl650's, a 1050 a new SV 650 and all their paint is excellent. You're the problem. Have a newer z900 and sold a z900rs and the paint is no better.

I agree that it might be an ok value for the money, but certainly not as good as the Ninja 1000SX. Not as comfortable, not as smooth, not as quiet, not as refined, as one studies the numerous long term reviews of these bikes. It looks good, the engine is well proven and the electronics are pretty good, but it's buzzy and that kills a long ride, so ok around town poking along with quick bursts, but touring at speed, not so much.

I was hesitant about this bike because of the complaints of the buzzy at speed and comfort I’ve rode both and currently own the 2024 gsxs 1000gt with about 3000 miles on it and I can say the 2024 is huge improvement over the original 2022 gt model I first rode and they have fixed the buzzy issue at 5-6.5k rpm just cruising Seat isn’t terrible but could definitely use an upgrade but I wasn’t uncomfortable even on the three 600 mile trips I took it on

Hello, I am looking for my first bike and was looking for something that looks sporty but is comfortable on long rides and commuting. I went to see the gsx 750 and ended up finding this bike at the dealership. Fell in love with the seating position. My only ick is its a 1000cc bike and its gonna be my first bike. I am a responsible car driver and never speed even though i have a dodge. So my mind set is clear. What do you think is it forgiving to beginners?

Years ago I would say absolutely not, since it's based on one of the most potent 1000cc motors ever made. Nowadays, you can put the bike in C mode with the traction control at max settings, and you'll probably be fine. Make no mistake though. It's a GSX-R1000 in a tuxedo, not to be taken lightly. I would suggest getting those inevitable newbie mistakes out of the way on a less potent machine while you learn to ride.
