TBH, I don’t even pay attention to the ads that much! It doesn’t deter me from watching creators that I get value from. I am using an A6 Hobonichi Avec, so that is why I’m here 😉. I think it’s super cool that you are using it for vocabulary. I’m a fellow word nerd 😊
Great video! I am happy that I don’t ever feel FOMO when it comes to planners. I noticed on RU-vid that those who always buy all of the things always seem lost and chaotic when it comes to planning; it seemed like it causes them anxiety instead of peace. I also noticed that these planner lovers seem to use planners for things that makes more sense to use in a journal instead of planner. I like to use my planner for planning and everything else in journals with no dates. For me it helps that all of my planning is done digitally on my phone and my iPad. All of my other writing go in journals like Hobonichi plain notebooks and Nanami paper Cafe Notes notebooks because I love thin tomoe river paper. All of the popular planner companies have plain undated notebooks that are the same as their planners. BTW, I live in VA too; I live in the Hampton Roads area, what part are you in?
I agree, I think some of it is for YT but also just excitement. All the pretty things 😆 right!? I can't be too confused, and I don't need to feel like I am failing either. I'm trying to keep it simple!! I feel like I'm in the middle of nowhere, lol. I guess you could say Richmond adjacent, Central VA.
Totally agree with your comments about a lot of youtube planner influencers having so much stuff it seems lost and chaotic instead of helpful and useful. I also would rather have my calendar/planner digitally and have a journal instead of a planner, but I do like the structured way the hobonichi is set up. It forces me to journal every day. Sometimes I feel like I don't have much to say, but I like the idea of putting a picture in the journal or just adding a few memories if I don't feel like doing a full on journalling session.
Your comments about fighting consumerism is so real! I just got my A6 in the mail today. I've actually never done journalling and I'm pretty excited to start.

I love your idea of a vocabulary journal...TMI but perimenopause really affects vocabulary and I find myself searching for words on a regular basis. I am so glad to have found your channel. I love the idea of the A6 cousin. It's actually just right amount of space I need for daily work to-do's, and it could be a personal dated journal. I just can't get past the quotes on the bottoms of the pages. It's not enough for me to cover it with tape or stickers.
I'm sort of there with you. I am always covering up the quotes. I love the Hobonichi brand, but there are a few tweeks I could make for my own preferences. The A6 is actually so adorable. I love it ❤️
That doesn't sound crazy. I would probably do the same thing - a word a day. I want to order a few day free ones to use them for separate things. One for faith, work, personal, journaling. I tried washi, but I don't like how bulky it gets. I saw Hobonichi has stamps which I am thinkin of getting or I do have their stencils.

Sometimes, compartmentalization is good, right!? he he The washi is bulky, but, I am thinking I can even it out by balancing the decorations for the next few months. This little A6 is just...shapely for now lol
