nice video and great idea. never knew our engines sounded like Darth Vader. but why oh why did you accelerate the same leisurely way the entire way through the video?? I watched the entire video waiting for some more spirited WOT runs...
i work at a honda dealership(collision center) and man these newer SI and civic sports are nice such a far cry from the 90s options from a pure/complete car standpoint. For what theyre worth and what they offer these days im pretty amazed at how much of a complete car they are compared to the bare bones Si and civics of the past. Then again its also a VW dealership and man do the new GTI have some nice shifter feel/forgiving shifts and smoothness to them too as well as really nice interiors and ride quality. Either way Just nice dailys Si and GTI very nice to a point where "needing more" doesnt even really factor in if youre modest about your options and taste.
@@Savagemotorkid2407 🤯 crazy thing is I don’t even know if I put it in sport mode or not.. I wonder how it would sound since in sport mode it give off a fake exhaust sound.. it doesn’t bother me but most ppl don’t like it
@Savagemotorkid2407 this car in sport mode is like a whole different thing. But I guess I'm having this since I upgraded from a 2009 civic to this 2024 Si.
I use my iPhone 14 Pro Max with a head mount from Amazon.. I can’t lie it’s heavy and when you hit bumps it bounces around a lot.. I works until I pick up a go pro and the 4k quality is on point
@@K2_24Si appreciate it because its doing what its supposed to and capturing the sound well . I know cuz thats how mine is with a full catless no res and race exhaust setup
@K2_24Si yeah in the first video. You mentioned that this not a car that you will purchase or something to that point. What you had before? A Camaro a Mustang?
My first choice was a scat pack then an accord but they new accord are ugly in my opinion.. I went with this because it’s sporty, easy mods and gas efficient
its more of an oil/temp and consumption factor IMO with these engines...the oil thinning out and seeping into the combustion chamber damaging the head/pistons or injectors or a combination of these things. IMO if you wait for temps to get proper before abuse/hooning or high rpm revs I think it will do a lot more for the engine/health than anything. ALSO id worry more about the non SI options with CVT thats when it becomes an issue of gasket/injector/piston health as well as CVT/lifecycle. Just ppl DAILY their sports and SI here in cali and jump right into the rat race/commute and into the boost ranges/high revs on the freeway or speeding to get to the freeway etc that "lifestyle" of driving on these engines are just as doomed as IMO any factory 4banger turbo offerings these days. When pushed before ideal temps or systems with oil loss or coolant leaks etc. Turbo system/cooling system leaks.
