I am glad i could help, thank you very much for following my channel and tuning in to my content! And congrats i hope you get your case asap and you will be very happy!!!
@@caseyshannon2054 I am very happy for you to be getting in one, and thank you very much for checking out my content and i will be posting more VERY soon! I am newer to this and winging it, i hope i'm doing okay for a newbie, so far i've had such good feedback from people and i'm so thankful for it. My next uploads will be with using a Insta360 GO 3 cam.
Hey brother, i ended up calling that dealership you suggested.. and guess what They had one in stock and it was the color i wanted I'll have it by next Sunday
I like your driving review of the Honda great job. Was really hoping to get a 2025 si love everything about it until rode in a 2024 Golf GTI autobahn. Civic has more room for sure, and is cheaper but after riding in the dsg gti I was sold on the 0-60 and 1/4 mile over the Si. Will miss shifting gears at times but I am sure that will go away first time I do a dig :). Now just waiting for the 2025 golf to come to the states.
brought home a new 17 si ,all black, threw some sweet rims and sport cup michelin, it carved , but took it back when i could not pull a regular elantra ! true story
To each their own, at the end of the day, you either tell you friends you own a Honda, or a Hyundai, not to say the elantra is not a performer, it is, but it's still a Hyundai at the end of the day, I've driver veloster N's and Elantra N's, fun but not for me. lol
The 11th gen is slower than the tenth! I had a new integra stick.. was too slow got rid of it.. the new civic hybrid will smoke the si for less money lol
I saw the new front bumper on the 2025 Civic today and I didnt like it at first but it looks so good in person imo. I really hope I can get one of these is october when my local dealer gets one.
The front end changes in picture form do it zero justice, it looks quite good in person in my opinion, gives even more of a feel of the Type R front end, it is basically now what i call the baby Type R lol :D I hope you get one soon, and can enjoy the car!!
Enjoying your content I'm a fan of the Si considering on purchasing one glad the '25 model had some cool changes any feed back about your experience with the car would be greatly appreciated
Thank you very much brother i am glad you've enjoyed my content so far and i will be uploading some more stuff soon, If you have any questions in the meantime definitely reach out! I think you would be happy with the purchase of one, but, test drive if you can, and do you homework. I hope my uploads have helped your decision! In one of my next upcoming videos i will be giving my actual pros and cons of it so far and some of the changes i plan to make as time rolls!
These are not very fast cars, but they excel at handling are comfortable for daily use and look great in my opinion. Did you have the auto rev match engaged in this video?
I did yes, it works too well to not use it, one less thing i have to do, more added focus on throttle, brake and steering input. Its peppy, it's fun, its economical, fits the family, couldn't ask for a greater car.
@@MrJpotter1986 I felt the same way with my 2022 and definitely do with my 2025. This car is what i would consider a well rounded, refined family sport sedan. I am glad you have been happy with yours! :)
@@TheOGBurrza I completely agree. Just had a baby last year so I sold my 2018 coyote mustang due to having 2 kids now. Car seat wouldn’t fit in the mustang. Sold it and got the Si. You’d think I’d miss that V8 power but I don’t. The practicality, flawless handling and transmission make it for an amazing daily. Plus the kids fit great!
I just got my 2025 SI yesterday. It drove home just fine. I noticed after driving it today. There was a rattle on the driver side door panel near where the mirror is when I press on the pan on the rattle goes away. Does yours do this I’ll just take it in more than likely, just trying to be that guy who brings his brand new car in that rattles
If you have oddities and noises that shouldnt be there, with as expensive as cars are, take it in! Its full covered 3 year 36k! Absolutely be that guy. Mine does not, thankfully mines very quiet (aside from road noise which im blaming tires) Congrats on the car im very happy for you! It could be as simple as a loose clip, in the past ive taken panels off cars and put in felt pads, or dynamat to subdue those sorts of issues, shouldnt have to but i have anyway :)
My 23 touring got rear ended and I’m waiting on insurance so I can pick a 25 si finally I’ve been waiting 3 weeks now and all I need is one more paper/ email saying the condition of the car
I am sorry to hear of the loss on the other car. The plus of it all is you are still up right and able bodied, car kept you safe. I do hope you can get your 25 asap, you're gonna love the car! Take care friend.
That engine is EXTREMELY happy at 2500 rpm but it especially likes being around 2200-3000. Really try not to put a load on it under 2200 rpm. Over 3000 is fine albeit a little wasteful.
I agree, with the factory tune and the turbo design, it's a happy engine in roughly that rev range, anything below 2200 is a bit luggish and harder on it. from around 2200 to 6200 is about the happiest it will be stock for powerband. Virtually identical to me 2022. However, when mods are introduced with a good pro-tune, and revisions, (not a shelf tune) this does change a bit.
You can absolutely run 87, "premium fuel" is a recommendation not a must have, there is a minimal difference between 87 and 93, but the ECU tunes accordingly to the octane of fuel in tank. Not a concern at all here!
To each their own, there is tunes and plenty of quality mods for the 22-24. Those mods fit the '25 directly, the drivetrain is identical as before. Same L15CA with 6 spd w/ mechanical LSD. All the cars today for performance have their differences, but after i've driven multiples or WRX's, N line Hyundai's, Golf GTI and R, etc i'm glad i stuck with Honda. Here's the kicker, i enjoy this car more than my 2013 Mustang GT Premium 5.0 6 spd Track pack. Sure that car is quicker by a long shot, and is a fun drivers car, but the 11th Gen SI is a real good drivers car. My opinion.
@@abdulmugheeskazi8226 For sure a nice change to the new model revision, let me know if you have any other questions i might be able to answer, and thank you very much for watching my new videos!!
Clutch feels pretty good, id say its at around the half way point in the travel of the pedal. My old 2022 it was about 1/3 of the way down, the engagement point on this one feels very good.
I noted at 3:39 that the car beeps when you redline. I haven’t seen that in any reviews of 2022-2024 cars. Do you know if that’s new or if it can be disabled?
Yes, whenever your shift light or whenever you’re about to redline, the car will beep and yes, just like the type bar. There is a setting that you can go into to disable that beeping noise so when you redline, they will just be a indicator, but there wouldn’t be any beeping noises at all so it’s just like the bar. They just moved the shift lights from the top part of the SI and I’m so happy they did that.
I drove a new Elantra N, fun car, quick, it was okay, but not for me, it still felt like it was made cheaply, the materials felt sub par, the transmission was clunky, clutch felt like crap, just like the veloster N. For the money overall the quality and feel of the SI is higher in my book, and don't get me started on the butt ugly WRX, LMAO the amount of raw plastics and looks is insane, on top of the WRX has one of the worst feeling transmission's. It is 2024 and they have yet to make a trans feel any newer than 1995 lol. My opinion.
@@josephfogus6735 No problem im glad it helps! At the end of the day, it comes down to the person and what THEY like. No car is perfect, No car compares exactly to another. They all have strong points and weak points.
I will say at this point this car feels like it weight transfers smoother, the car feels more planted and responsive. @ 600 miles in with about 100 on back road, it is still pretty fresh, I'd like to come back to this sort of question after more seat time. Nonetheless, I will say the chassis rigidity and retuned suspension for '25 has made a difference. But this car absolutely without a second thought needs a better tire, The factory spec Goodyear Eagle's are booboo.
@@vladam6258 I would agree that overall the chassis stiffening and suspension retune has made a difference, to what degree either change had the most effect, I'm not exactly sure, at 1000 miles, I can atleast confirm that the combination has made the handling much better. My latest video shows some of that, and that's not even pushing the car to it's limits.
@@bryantmayorga7811 nope it's definitely been improved. Big difference, my 2022 stock without tune had horrendous rev hang. This car bone stock has very little.
@@TheOGBurrza that’s some good news. I have the 23 model and was thinking about possibly trading it in for the 25 but was hoping they did adjustment to the tuning before anything
Real to my knowledge, in the cars settings i turned off the "exhaust" option, there is a setting for normal or sport for that, and i made it normal, sport does add in extra noise.
Awesome question! They did add rev match from 2nd to 1st, and to be honest it works quite well so far, i'm not quite used to it yet lol. It's a big deal especially if the car gets road coursed or autocrossed.
@@davelospinoso9022 What's your reasoning behind not downshifting to first from second? As well as why would honda add in the second to first in the rev match system if it's simply not to be used?
@@TheOGBurrza if you're in second and your speed drops to ~10mph, clutch in .. Brake... Neutral. Do not downshift to first. The ratio difference is huge and you will no doubt hurt your car
I really want to like this car but for some reason I just can’t because of the price… other competitors just seems to be so much more better like the wrx.
I can agree and disagree here, the only two things the WRX has over the 11th gen SI is power, and AWD. In my opinion, being that i've driver multiple new WRX's, Honda's Gearbox hands down is best in the industry, other reviewers will gladly agree, overall style and comfort, quality, resale value, etc will hold greater on this car. Again, solely my opinion with a little bias :) !
@@TheOGBurrza yes I love Honda, I actually own 2 as we speak. A 2019 pilot and a 2022 hrv. I’ve since been wanting a SI to daily but just can’t wrap my head around the cars specs and power to be specific. It looks cool on paper but in the road just doesn’t seem right… but just my opinion. My guess is that it’s not meant for the streets but more as a daily commute.
I cross shopped the wrx vs civic si. The fuel economy, and the features you get on the base wrx don't hold a candle to the civic si. The wrx rear bumper looks hideous imo. The deal breaker is reliability seems to go to the civic. Good luck with whatever you go with!
