Thanks for this informative video. You made my decision to choose the AT easier. You are such a positive person, I’m glad that there are still nice people out there.
Class looking bike Loft and a great review. I have had two AT AS's and they are on of the best bikes on the road. I have had my eye on this one and was looking forward to your review.
hello, I am currently riding a tenere 700 raised plus the rally saddle. do you think this magnificent africa twin would fit my 6 feet 8? Thank You for your video !!
@MaassHigh the 2024 is not as big as the 2022 Adventure Sports. The seat is lower....in fact the bike doesn't feel as big.....take a look at the v strom 1050 DE, that's a big tall bike.......
I'm riding a 2020 AT DCT and I love it. With a higher custom seat it fits perfectly my 6"5'. About DCT, I would like to encourage everybody to give it a try, at least 1 to 2 hours to get accustomed. DCT is a blast, believe me. But, be adviced there is one big problem with it: if and when you are used to DCT you won't want to change back to a manual transmission ever. I would love to get a new bike with a bit more torque (not that I really need it, it's just my wish to want more power) but no way without an automatic transmission. One last thing re.the AT: what a sound, as a former Ducati fan (still owning an ST2) I happily give kudos to this engine sound, gorgeous and always putting a smile on my face.
Big Hello from Italy! Just one question: are you sure this red one has electronic suspension? In Italy it doesn’t, just the triple white and the black one. Thanks
I'm certain....during the walk round I demo its use....this one is called the CRF1100L ES.....the ES is for electronic suspension, this Is the new 2024 model....thanks for watching
Sir great review i test rode one last week - love the look. Super hard to get my left foot under the gear lever. Also the vibration through the pegs was horrible. I rode if for about 2 miles and returned it. For context i have a GS w a Quick shifter and no way back after that. I like it so much i can see the DCT in my future
that sounds like a PDI issue....DCT is deffo the future.....thanks for watching....GS QS is not the best...try the new 2024 F900gs, now thats a QS.....
Hi Lofty, Im a new follower from Canada, Quebec! What do you think of the new Red and blue livery? I think it looks great on pictures and videos. Does it looks even better in the flesh? People around me generally doesnt like it. It doesnt stopped me from putting down cash on it... :) thank you!
Both great bikes,I'm very happy with the NT, but I do love the AT...you need to test ride to see which suits your daily circumstances...thanks for watching
Great review thanks. Just subscribed. Was going to look at one of these tomorrow but then you mentioned no hill hold. It is invaluable when two up as you said. A real omission. Currently on GSA and was already thinking that the power differential would be too much in the GSA favour. Im not sure if the new torque figures and lighter bike would make it more equal two up. It makes me think they are working on a new model (25/26?) as they are playing catch up with the other manufacturers on adaptive cruise/hill hold/blind spot etc. Not that they are all necessary but they are all available. Great review of the bike thanks
To be fair the CRF1100L is the overland off road version...I doubt very much this model will ever get the tech you mention....the Adventure sports model will be more in line........The KTM super Adv might be more what you are looking for....thanks for watching
@@theloftybiker3090 cheers for the reply. Most likely looking at the Adventure Sport model. Dealer in Plymouth doesnt have one (order only apparently) so may need to give Damerells a call. Would the handbrake lever on the DCT be used as a sort of hill hold. Does it disengage automatically? Cheers
Depends on the size of your pockets and lenght of your legs.....I'm an AT fan, every time....£24,000 for a bike is tooooo much for me...thanks for watching
@@theloftybiker3090 thank you , I’m between standard and ES . The only thing that scares me with ES is that have too much electronics and lose the simplicity
Engine 'keeps' going when you throttle off because of the engine braking intervention. Especially when set high the engine will have a sense of free wheeling.
@@theloftybiker3090 Yeah, one gets used to it pretty quickly I presume. I would like to get this bike but I am still not sure whether to go manual or DCT. Might take a test ride to help me decide.
