Great November day for a ride on the Honda Ruckus. Going to try to break this thing in some more and make a speed run. The Ruckus is sill running pretty rough on take off. #hondaruckus #motovlog #hondascooter #49cc #adventure
This and super cub should be in crowded countries like south and south east Asia to reduce pollution and consumption of oil (most of it is imported) and where faster vehicles are unnecessary due to thick traffic in narrow lanes.
What is the max out mark on speedometer dial? It’s 40mph isn’t it? That’s the limit no matter what you try. Also, on throtal only vehicle it is difficult to hold on max point all the time. So, between 30 -40 mph is the best one can get depending upon topography of landscape and weather at any given time. So, if want to drive faster, get 250cc+ vehicle. Even entry level BMW 310R is under $5K. Now a days.
@@slowridersmotovlog201 That is not a big difference. It is still for back roads and country roads with least traffic or speed limits about 30-40 mph. I like to have ruckus but risky to drive on the street because car and truck drivers have habits to drive faster on 30 mile speed limit roads. Honestly, it is relatively safer to drive 50cc scooters in Asia and Oceania then in USA. Even Europe is safer.
It is fun to modifiable scooter, though. Someone in Australia is selling hunter scooter that is ruckus clone but 170cc and go 100 km/hr and fatter tire. In one expo Honda displayed super modified ruckus/zoomer.
Thank you for the video! Can you please tell me if there's a gasoline smell from this scooter? I really want to buy a Honda Ruckus, but I live in a third-floor apartment with an elevator. However, I'm concerned about whether there will be a gasoline smell from it 🤷🏻♂️
You're probably better off just finding where the carburetor mixture screw is and turning it out a half-turn at a time until you like the way the bike runs. The EPA is forcing the manufacturers to put the bikes out running so lean they barely run at all. My DR650 needed it's mixture screw turned out a turn and a half as well as the needle shimmed up twenty-thousandths. The dealer will just tell you that's the way it is because they can't mess with the carb mixture by law technically.
Rev limiter hits at 40 or so you won't get more than that out of it. I ordered the nyc drive face pulley and new kevlar belt for mine that should be here mid week. they claim couple mph out of that so we will see.
I have a2024 also check oil level Honda shipped them with too much oil ,oil should be half way on dip stick ,it will get better at around 3 hundred miles at lease mine did ,
SRMV..my 24 does same dam thing and I can't figure it out, got take to shop, it definitely gets much worse in cold. And I thought it might need smaller jets because iam at elevation of like 1100 feet above sea, but I now question that because I don't think Hagerstown is to far above sea level, but iam going to check right now! According my data lol..Google your at 500 feet, which actually could still have a impact on carberator, but I may leave it to the experts
Your bike is running too lean, all bikes run too lean today because the EPA forces the manufacturer to make them run that way. On your carburetor there should be a brass cap over the mixture screw, remove the cap and take a small flat-head screwdriver and turn the mixture screw out one-half turn at a time until the bike runs the way you like it. You should notice an immediate difference in power and pickup.
Yes I was thinking about that myself, iam definitely going give it a shot before I take it in, your advice is much appreciated, I honestly believe your likely right.
