I have the same exact machine. 💪🏾 Out here in AZ 🏜️. Bought mine a few weeks ago too. Current mods include: -XTC turn signals and horn kit (street legal here in AZ) -Tusk foldable glass windshield -Bump seat for the back (family of five/small children🤷🏾♂️) -Spare OEM tire Next accessories/upgrades will be spare tire holder, bed gate, gas ⛽️ canister, rear windshield, and many more. We love our machine but it’s a freaking money 💵 pit modding it how you want. 🤦🏾♂️
Certainly is a money pit! For my midlife crisis it was either this or a boat... I went with the shallower pit haha. But it is a fun journey thus far and I haven't even driven it yet! I have friends in Arizona. I am thinking about hauling it out there this Christmas. I would love to get it out and open her up. I will be taking to the sand dunes in Mi as well. I also want to go to Sandy Hollow up in Utah. I did buy a street legal kit but for the $$$ I was unimpressed and returned it. I will continue to look for another. We cannot make them street legal in Ky, however, I have been thinking about starting a business in Montana.... Maybe I'll register to my LLC out there when I do!!!
KFI winch mount for the winch. I have the same winch but you have to get the long drum model. It’s smaller in diameter to fit better and comes with 50’ of rope verse 26’ or so that the short drum comes with. . Could tell if that’s what you have or not. This is the one kfi said will work an I bought for my 2024 1000r live valve. On Amazon type in Honda Talon 1000 Winch Mount 102040 by KFI. $96.14
Only problem with Honda is when you put the size tires on it you need, like the ones you looking at it cuts the power in half seems like, beautiful machine though
TY! All the research I've done so far, 95% of ppl do not notice a difference. Some of those did not notice a difference with 32". I do plan to get a tune and full exhaust at some point, so that'll help. Maybe one day rebuild the engine and turbo it. We'll see. Pipe dreams at this point, haha.
