Yes, this helped A LOT. Some other videos don't mention that you're supposed to enter the OTHER computer's password. And the way Apple asks for it, it's not specified or obvious!

Thank you. I had done it before on a different mac and it was to share with a windows PC (don't laugh). I was trying the file sharing and it wasn't working so I had to just add the files to the 'Cloud Drive' but that way takes a lot longer if it's lots of files and/or large files, proper File-Sharing is much, much faster. You reminded me that the log-in is the log-in details of the Mac that you are connecting to. Thanks again, all sorted. Liked and subbed.

I always seems to be one of the people where none of the tutorials are working. It always is different of what I get on my screen.it is pretty frustrating. Your explanation is nice and clean . I am using to MacBooks , an old and a new one and I need to get my email application and it’s data to one to the other and nothing is working. This is my fifth day whole with different types of computer problems and nothing is working out for my. I really want to throw everything out of the window

I've networked my other Macs before but one just failed and I bought another. When I try and connect, my password isn't working for some reason. Just does that shake for an incorrect password. I tried connecting on both computers and I use the same password for all my computers so not sure what's going on.

Great video. One of my Macs is 2010, so airdrop doesn't work to share files between them (both Macs must be 2012 or newer). I've saw suggestions to email files between 2 Macs, but that's a mess on, and large files are often too big to be sent by email providers. This is a great work-around. Thanks for sharing knowledge.

Is there a way to make it so my iMac at work is basically mirrored onto my MacBook so I can essentially have my work computer at home, without having to transfer changes onto the MacBook before I leave the office every day?

When turning off the computer, do I have to disconnect first or can I leave it as it is for the next time? I can only access once of the devices the M1 logs into the intel one but can’t make the intel one log into the m1. I have the PW correct and enabled sharing on both. Any idea? Also sign with Apple ID does not work I’m so confused

Thanks for this video. I connected both my iMacs wirelessly as shown in your video but when I click on my 2nd iMac's applications folder, it's only showing me a couple of it's applications. I have at least 30 applications in the folder but it's only showing me 2 applications. Why Is That?

Hey Carson, I have a iMac and a MB Pro as described in the vid. I followed the steps you recommended, but when I attempted to access files on my iMac from the MB Pro, I didn't see the iMac listed as a source to access. The question I have is, when wanting to share the files, does the other computer have to be active....not in "sleep" status? I also am wondering why I don't see my iMac as a source to connect to from the MB Pro.
