This was my home town it's unbelievable that it looks like this water is a powerful force my prayers go out to all the people there i loved growing up in unicoi
Thanks for this. Do you have drone footage of the devastation in Washington County? The 107 bridge near the Lamar convenience center was taken out along with a whole slew of other bridges in Washington County. People forget that water is the most potent force on this planet. The Appalachians were once the height of the Himalayan mts and over millions of years have been reduced to what you see now thru water and wind.
One of the most intense and heartbreaking videos I have seen from Erwin.. . My husband and I live in Stoney Creek. And 4 years ago we drove through Erwin and I remember telling my husband how beautiful I thought it was... We never imagined that something like this would happen. ..!! I know that people are still in shock mode from going through this Natural Disaster..But what I have seen while living down here is that people here are close knit and will help one another no matter what!! ❤ We have got to remember that we are Americans! And this is our home. Our beautiful State. It's going to take a few years, but I know that the good and beautiful people of Tennessee will rebuild their small towns and communities!! I know that!! ❤ We just have to keep our heads up and never give up hope! And if you can, help one another out!! If we ALL come together we can certainly do this!! God Bless the Amazing people of Eastern Tennessee!!! ❤🙏🇺🇲❤
The beautiful dreamy houses are now just ruins and desolation, with all my heart I wish them the best and peace, everyone should join hands and unite to start over.
thanks so much, I shot this with the mini 4 pro. I like using it for stuff like this because i can pack it in my motorcycle bag and not take up much space.
We also took 35 $100.00 visa gift cards. They can be used for gas, food, clothing.....drugs or beer!! Hopefully, people are more responsible and won't buy the last two.
@audreylowe2941 at this point for East TN the main location for donations is Bristol Motor Speedway. You may want to call ahead though and see what needs they have currently. Because of the great outpouring of individuals donating so many things there are some items they aren't taking and other that they are. And the needs change from day to day. Thanks so much for helping the region 🙏 The impact is extremely widespread.
Felt pretty hopeless, but people have showed up for each other. Going to be a long road back, and it'll never be the same, but we'll get back to some sort of normal eventually.
