Just bought mine today. Got the Hyundai Elantra SEL Convenience Package. I wanted the SEL for the heated seats but the Convenience Package adds so much more! (17" alloy wheels, sunroof, 60/40 split folding rear seat back and more!) $30,000 including tax!
I lease every three years and previous car was a white 2021 Elantra SEL Convenience with gray interior that had to have the tranny replaced after only 7,500 mi. Dealership had the car for more than six weeks. Was looking at the '24 Forte GT Line but unfortunately our local Kia dealership doesn't have the best reviews, Kia doesn't offer three year free maintenance, and only color interior is black...which not only makes the interior feel more confining, but here in the south, black interiors are HOT. So last month I got a '24 Elantra SEL in Amazon Gray with light gray interior. Nice looking car. Hopefully it won't have the same tranny issues as the previous Elantra. I like the overall look of the '24 over the '21. We'll see how the next three years go. BTW, I didn't like the chrome strip in the front that extends between the headlights, so blacked it out and made a huge difference for the better visually.
can anyone tell me how durable or reliable hyundai CVT transmissions are? They say the chain seems to loosen up after 3~4 years. dont know what that means
I think. the Hyundai-Kia groups IVT gearbox seems to be very reliable. Do 3000 mi synthetic oil changes and inspections and I think whole car will be long lasting.
