Every 24 Kona has wireless carplay... Only the 23 and prior had it omitted in trims with navigation. But that issue has been finally solved. All new redesigned models 24 or newer have wireless across all trims
Great review Ed, waiting on my 2 litre non turbo Kona in Australia. Thanks for going through all the functions on the steering wheel. Waiting to see you drive impressions
Hey Ed, very nice to finally see the new model arriving in dealerships! I'm patiently waiting on my 2024 EV (ordered/waitlisted)... Can't wait to see it in real life!
I am debating whether I should pull the trigger on getting a hybrid sonata or hybrid Elantra. I like the Elantra's design better but I want the new Sonata's AWD, hard decisions...
Hey Ed! Loved watching all your videos on your EV journey. Quick question for you - I read a while ago that the outstanding lawsuit over the wireless Apple Carplay issue was finally settled and the 2024 Kona would have wireless Apple Carplay. I have a 2023 Elantra Luxury and was wondering if you knew if there would be a software update to allow some of the older models to have it as well. Cheers from Ottawa!
I heard about that as well, unfortunately I'm not aware of any plans to do updates that add that functionality. However there's a very good chance that they will add it via an update.. In the meantime if you want to add Apple CarPlay Android Auto, wirelessly. There are several products on the market that can do it, and they're pretty cheap.
Curious to see an N Line with LED turn signals. I hope that's an option because i think the standard N Line, they are regular incandescent turn signals.
This color is currently not available in the USA. In Canada, it's called Meta Blue. In the USA, you have denim blue pearl, but we don't have that color.
Good review, I have the 2023 Kona n line and I must say I do not like the styling of the new Kona, nor do I like that there is no shifter by the cup holders and also the huge price increase of roughly $5k Canadian is to much
Great Review Ed Can't believe you don't get the rear air vents on the N Line. I'm currently waiting on the top spec N Line in Cyber Grey here in Australia
the rear air vents are standard on the N line (not ultimate)I just received - so is the Bose Stereo and power driver seat -- and the small spare tire sticker for AWD 34,420
Why would you want a regular shifter? 🤔 I've never understood why people want the old antiquated mechanical shifter... it just wastes space. As for pricing, keep in mind that the Kona is a completely redesigned vehicle, so of course it makes business sense for Hyundai to capitalize on its hype. Give it a year or two and the prices of these two models will get closer and features will also get closer. Plus it does have larger wheels, larger screens, more sound deadening, better suspension etc.
