I love the 2024 kona. I have a 2022 kona which I love except the lack of storage in the rear. Of course I knew it was going to have less room than my 2019 Tucson had. I love the ride of my kona almost sports car like. I'm quite sure my next car will be kona again but probably a 2025
Seltos a better looking SUV. The new Kona looks like a wagon. The quietness of the new Kona and LED headlights is a winner. I really want the mid level Seltos but the new model is still noisy on tbe highway. You clearly show on your videos the new Kona is quieter.
Appreciate you paying close attention to my reviews ;) KONA hands down is a winner when it comes to NVH, but again, it's not a fair game comparing an All-new to a facelift.
Thanks for all the good rewivs you give us. Looking forward to the next one for Kona EV. I had the 2019 Kona EV. Now i have the 2023 model, but need more space for luggage/golfbags. With only 332 liter trunk it's a bit to small. How many liters will the Kona 2024 be?
If you could please watch the video at 19:32 here(I've time stamped the link below) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_kP5NBLPCHE.html you can see the detail with numbers!
Both get beautiful 8spd automatic, but I do like the overall experience Kona provides over Seltos in terms of noise, ride & handling. FYI, my daily driver is '22 Seltos, so you know I'm being honest here.
The current KONA EV does have the plastic cladding as you know, not sure how it'd be for this gen. The official photos suggest that it will be body color matched for sure though.
It was a nice attempt by Hyundai, but I must report that the Seltos is still the obvious king of the subcompact class. I leased a Seltos SX Turbo for 3 years and loved it. I just turned it in for a new lease a few months ago, which is a Tucson Limited. The other night, I went in to my dealership and checked out the Kona N-Line just for fun. It’s pretty cool overall, but it’s more like a hatchback than the more rugged looking Seltos. The interior definitely has a cheaper feel to it than the Seltos, and the plastic areas are of lesser quality and kind of wiggle around. As though they would break much easier. The rear seat room feels similar to the Seltos, but the cargo area looked absolutely tiny. It doesn’t have SUV class space in the rear by any means, while the Seltos has very respectable cargo space. I can’t see any reason to get the Kona over the Seltos.
I have the 2023 Kona n line and honestly I was disappointed it didn’t have a powered hatch. For the price of the vehicle. I should of waited and got the 2024 Kona
Due to the new platform that KONA has got along with the tech put behind the first row seats (thinner rear part), KONA provides slightly roomier leg room on the second row sear although marginal.
Hi. I purchased a 2023 Seltos update with the 8 speed automatic and delivery to Australia somewhere between June and October of 2023. This preview shows a rotary gear selector whereas the demonstration Seltos I had a test drive in had a regular T-bar selector. So which one do I receive. Is there a difference between countries for the rotary gear selector. Hope to receive some feedback soon. Cheers from Perth.
I believe so. Your local dealer ought to have more info on that than I do. Details like those differ from a country to another, sorry I can't help you on that one :'(
John, we’re in Melbourne, Australia 👋🏻 We received our 2023 Seltos GT AWD 1.6L just over a week ago. The Australian version has the traditional T-bar not the rotary dial😊 We’re really happy with facelift model and love it.
Which trim would this be? I live in Canada and we only have ESSENTIAL, PREFERRED with FWD and AWD options, and the N-lines options. I can't tell for sure which model this is.
Re: Transmissions for Seltos and Kona. Are you saying that the facelift KIA Seltos will now have an eight-speed automatic with a conventional torque converter, or the eight-speed wet dual clutch transmission like the current Hyundai Kona N? And which tranny will the all-new Hyundai Kona get?
I wouldn't say they are all that different, but I could feel KONA's headlights sitting lower and somewhat wider from time to time. Subtle difference though.
Is that black plastic on the Kona Guards over the wheels. On the current Kona old model the black plastic faded very badly. I hope they have rectified this fading problem? Even a 3 year old KONA in Australia looks very bad with the black plastic exteriors now a light grey.
Below are detailed information about powertrain specs of 2024 Kia Seltos: - Smartstream G1.6 T-GDI + 8-speed automatic transmission 198 ps/ 6,000rpm 27.0 kgf.m/1,600~4,500rpm 12.8 km/L (*Based on 2WD 16" tires, no built-in cam) - Nu 2.0 MPI + IVT 149 ps / 6,200rpm 18.3 kgf.m/4,500rpm 12.9 km/L (*Based on 2WD 16" tires) - Electronic 4WD system Power is actively distributed between the front and rear wheels according to the road surface and driving conditions to ensure stable turning and exceptional driving performance.
I personally think KONA and Seltos are direct competitors in so many ways as listed in this video. Let alone the size, Seltos and Venue are very different cars.
Hopefully Hyundai/Kia have learned how to build engines that don't have bearings failures or oil consumption problems. I will never buy another one of there products due to the horrible engines.
The new Kona's are so ugly compared to the previous gen especially the front end refreshed model, in later years. Idk..exactly what they were thinking making look like a Tesla. I like the redesigned interior, but thats about it.
I find the Kona brutally ugly. That's what I went with a fully loaded Seltos. If you like it, that's awesome, but I just can't. It's like the new Aztec, lol.
