Recapping the 2023 IFBB Pro League Triple O Dynasty Pro Competition and discussing what the Women's Bodybuilding, Women's Physique, Figure and Masters results mean for Olympia 2024. / turquoisetoffee
Thank you for covering the masters categories. As I just get into this sport at the age of 53 I find it hard to find quality coverage/content about this class. And I’m confused about what you said about not qualifying for Olympia so do you ever do an explanation video about various rules/procedures? Would love to see it!
That's amazing, @GummyCandy4Life, good for you!! So, only the OPEN division 1st place winners qualify for the Olympia, which is itself an open contest, meaning that it is not divided into age categories. A masters competitor can compete as Open and Masters, even within the same competition, but only by winning first in the Open category do they get a ticket to Olympia. There is a separate Olympia that is exclusive to Masters athletes, called the Masters Olympia. It's at a different time of year in a different location that the Olympia. The qualification for that is by the submission of an application letter of intent rather than by a first place win in a masters show (though I bet that helps!).
