This was awesome! So many awesome foods and lots of variety. We’ve never had duck fat fries. It sounds very interesting and would definitely give them a whirl. Have y’all been to Der Dutchman? They have the best Amish Peanut Butter. We got a good laugh at Brent’s Goodburger orange pop reference…..I do! I do! I do hooo! The elephant ear looked amazing! Y’all’s state fair really knows how to serve up some good food. Thanks for another awesome video guys….we’re saints! 😂 😇
@@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV we had a great time, and they definitely know how to do fair food! We haven’t been to Der Dutchman yet, but there are two places in northern Indiana, Das Dutchman Essenhaus and the Blue Gate, where we’ve been many times, they serve Amish peanut butter in squeeze bottles on the tables, you can’t beat that!
The price of the food kills me. But a lot of the items made me hungry! Mikey would've loved that elephant ear. We didn't get to our Fairs here this year. 😢 so we lived vicariously through you guys! 🧡🧡
@@judichristopher4604 thank you so much for checking it out! We had a great time but spent A LOT of money making it! 🫣 I guess, if it’s any consolation, it seems like everything is expensive no matter where you go, so the fair prices don’t feel as insane as they have in the past
I absolutely love you guys's videos! You guys are so totally opposite but you work so well together. Have to go back and binge watch all of your older videos
@@teresawilliams662 thank you so much, Teresa! We appreciate you watching and hope you enjoy the old stuff, back when we had no idea what we were doing lol! That’s so funny that you say we are opposites, because we feel like we’ve slowly been morphing into the same person over the last few years, so I’m glad someone still sees us as being individuals 🤣
@@kygirl05 we hope you have the best time ever! Make sure you comment back and let us know what you tried that you liked! There are so many options to choose from! Thank you so much for checking us out!
thank you so much for the video! we are going to the fair tomorrow (Friday) from Ohio and I was definitely thinking of trying some of the items you all did. I can now say for sure that I will be getting cheesecake elephant ear. There are a couple of items I want to try that you all did not. I believe there are 2 different grilled cheese items and a deep fried potato with sausage gravy that also look good. Also the blueberry milkshake and strawberry cheesecake funnel cake. I watched the entire video so... I must be a SAINT.... lol
@@susanproffitt6658 thank you so much, Susan! All of those things you’re planning to try sound amazing to us. We could only afford/stomach so many things, so we had to try and pick and choose what to try this time around. The blueberry shake sounded great to me, and grilled cheese is always good. The only issue you might run into is that the Dairy Barn is ALWAYS packed! We appreciate you watching and hope you have the best time tomorrow! Be sure to comment back and let us know how things were!
@braceyourselfchannel so I tried the blueberry cheesecake elephant ear, blueberry milkshake, and the messy grilled cheese. My daughter shared the elephant ear with me. Everything was delicious. I had hoped to try more, but she was more interested in riding tides. Lol
@@saracarr3962 that's awesome! Both fairs are about the same distance for us. My husband took his vacation a week later this year, so we missed the Ohio State Fair.
Hello from Indy too! You made a huge dent in the Taste of the Fair list. I had to go twice and made two different videos for my vlog and still didn’t get to nearly as many places. My biggest surprise- I really liked the pickle pizza.
@@thetravelinglibrarian thank you so much! I’m glad you were able to get to the fair and try some things too! We can’t wait to check out your videos and see how you liked things! The pickle pizza was definitely on our short list, but Brent doesn’t like Ranch at all, so we figured we would try some other things that we both would try.
Had to catch up so two videos in a row - your bone in wings experience at the fair - should we expect more of those now that the taboo is broken? Enjoyed the fair tour a lot
Now you guys are interesting with this video, although I am a healthy eater, but unlike other RU-vidrs going to the usual fast food joints I like that you all are going out and exploring different unusual foods so far for now, hope you all don’t go to those fast food places like others for now 👍
They lied to yall at the Amish peanut butter pretzel place. I've seen around 10 videos and photos on different days and they all had mini marshmallows. Weird. TFS. I'm going next week.
We’ve seen that too. The only thing we would guess is since we went on the very first day of the fair and it was like 2 hours after they opened, maybe they tried to get away with not having to add the minis but then people complained. If they are going to post a picture of the dish looking one way and then they try to make it differently, obviously people are going to ask questions. Hope you have a great time!
I would have subscribed but you guys complain way too much. It seems like everything you eat there so complaint for someone who loves going to the fair. You need to step back a little little bit on the complaints.
@@deniseranft511 we’re sorry you feel that way. If you are looking for a channel where the hosts tell you how great everything is, whether it really is or not, there are plenty of them out there. Our viewers seem to like the fact that we are honest about what we try and about whether we think it’s good enough to recommend to someone who has never tried it. We love the fair and we love food, we just know that there are way too many options and if we say that everything we taste is the best thing we’ve ever had, people will watch and not know where to begin.
@@braceyourselfchannel I am used to watching food shows where it is mixed with bad reviews and good reviews which keeps my attention. Unfortunately, this one did not keep my attention because of the bad reviews of all of the food in the beginning. But I do understand what you are saying🙂↔️
@@deniseranft511 we get it, we aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s ok. We do appreciate you giving us the chance, and hope you continue to find entertainment in the other channels you watch!
@@HolyDiverBronco I hope you aren’t from here if that’s the way you feel about the food, otherwise you’d be pretty miserable. We don’t have a whole lot of “Indiana specific” dishes, but we do make a bomb breaded pork tenderloin (if you’ve never tried one)
@@braceyourselfchannel I live in Redkey Indiana.......I have lived in 9 different states and i love Indiana, but the food culture, is not good my friend..Luckily, i am a very good cook.
@@HolyDiverBronco we’re pretty close to Redkey, both went to Ball State back in the day, it’s a small world. That’s what you gotta do, go on vacation to get the good stuff and cook whatever you want for yourself! Thanks for checking us out, we appreciate you!
I know what foods could be big hits here..........Just no finances to do it.....Surprised no one has opened a smash burger restaurant or New Haven style pizza or Italian food, etc......These little towns are desperate for something better than McDonald's.
@@HolyDiverBronco you’re 100% right about that. And if you open something great in a small town, you’ll get people from all over the place coming to check it out. (Ivanhoes, Bonges, Grains and Grill, etc) all small town spots around here that people travel for
