2024 Interior Design Trends - Studio McGee, Jake Arnold & More 

Happy New Year Melba and fans of the channel! I'm not so interested in new items and prefer thrifting or repurposing items to refresh your surroundings. I always enjoy hearing your thought processes as you plan or execute various rooms and designs in your home or those belonging to others. I also love your thrift in various cities videos. Bottom line for me is I love the thrill of the hunt and finding a small number of high quality second hand items. I'm busy donating many, many items (clothes, books, furniture, and ornamental items) to lighten my load and allow for fresh beginnings in 2024. It feels fun to be "in the groove" of divesting and I've dropped off nine loads already in January.

I loved watching you redesign your office. I suppose a combination of a home reset and shopping for new or new to you items would be very interesting to me.

This video was so interesting to me. I'm so glad that my small parlor/sitting room that we painted red in 1991 is back in fashion. We've had it various colors of red ever since. I like color, lol. We need new cabinet doors for our kitchen. I was going to buy new white doors and drawer fronts and paint the facings and end panels. However, I thought that I really like my off-white cabinets and don't care if they're not in style. Maybe a touch of yellowish off-white isn't so bad after all. It's interesting to see the "new" trends. I think there's room for everyone's style and color choice. Thank you for another beautiful video. Take care, Linda 🦋

@@MelbaMakes I’ve been getting into blue a lot! I’ve place blue vases, etc. around my living room, and huge covered vases on my white fireplace mantel And I like my wood kitchen cabinets, put black handles on them, changed my whole kitchen look! I do enjoy your channel very much, even though you’re my two granddaughter’s ages! 😂

I have hardwood floors and warm and complementary colors on the walls. Warm colors make me happy, and I'm so fortunate to have talented artist friends and rugs and other treasures from my travels.

“If various vignettes around the house make you smile, you’re heading the right direction” ❤️ - I feel this so much with my new art pieces near my treasure cabinets 😊 are there specific colors you are drawn to and use a lot in your home?

@@MelbaMakes I love warm colors. My whole house was linen white. I painted one room a warm buttery yellow, and didn't stop. Dining room is terra cotta (I call it Roman sunset), and living room/hall are a subtle color called orange glow. Three accent walls and exterior doors are a vibrant red called persimmon. My kitchen is red and orange with a teal chalkboard wall. Too much for some people, but I love it all. Sounds crazy, but the colors are complementary and flow nicely.

Sounds like you have created many different vibes to experiences throughout your home! Terracotta sounds so cozy! 😊

Okay darling good for you it really is beautiful.I live in a mountain house so the wood and beams are there. Sweetheart never ever paint a brick wall and or your wood beams no matter what. It’s easier to repaint plan walls than ruin a stunner like a brick wall. My new year hasn’t been well at all - can you please pray for me or meditate what ever you do.
