Reached out to congressional representative May 15. They sent letter to IRS May 17 inquiring on my return. Today May 29, I see a TAX Code 846 Refund Issued with date of 6/3/2024. That is the POWER OF CONGRESS.
Filed in March. Should have received my refund in April. Still waiting. It’s amazing how the communication in 2024 is almost nothing. It’s so frustrating to not know what is going on. I need my refund to pay some bills.
I just saw and read the latest news. The IRS are busy sending our tax refunds to more needed country in Europe first and paying China first before us. Now the IRS are also offering a free direct file your 2024 tax directly to IRS at no cost to make up for all of the delays and frustrations they caused.
Filed on January 26th, got a letter for hold until review is complete on 3/11(didn’t have to do anything-60 day review) called after the 60 day mark and was told it’s not 60 days but actually 120 days and said that we should have it by then. So now we wait until July.
I got no updates. I sent my Congressional help the same thing saying I haven’t seen anything sent from the IRS or other updates. My Congressional help is expecting an update to my case this week.
280 days that would mean you're going to get it around next tax season you should definitely make them give you interest every single day from the day they told you that until you get it
Cp05 notice letter dated 3/18 received 3/25.. It was 60 days as of 5/18/2024. Now 120 days per IRS rep not 60 days .CP05 notice letter noted 60 days for review !
Same here and mine said that same thing except my sixty days was up May 11, 2024 call the IRS and they said 120 not sixty so I reached out to my congressman and filled out a privacy form for them to work on my behalf so now I wait…ugh
Thank you for the update I was looking to see if you posted anything about the next deposit I keep dreaming that one of those days I will get my refund I been waiting and the last time they told me I have to wait until 6-16i don’t know why my were is my refund app it disappeared the 152 topic and my transcript doesn’t say anything 😢
I'm still waiting. It's been about 2 weeks since I asked for and got congressional help. I'm reading from another forum that people are getting their refunds mailed instead of DD into their accounts.
@RoseMatt-vl9uc Good question, but i have no answer. The IRS did that to me last year. i was set up as DD but got a mailed check. Maybe it's the time difference?
I asked that question and they said is because some people had to put something incorrect that’s the only way you get a check we’re you supposed to get DD
IF THE FED IRS DONT TAKE ACTION TO SEND MY FED TAX REFUND CLAIM BEFORE THE END OF SEPTEMBER, I WILL BE FORCE TO FILE A SUIT WITH THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT OF FEDERAL CLAIMS. After 6 months of tax refund denials by the fed IRS, anyone can file suit on them.

I filed February 4 and got a cp05 letter saying they needed 60 days on 3/18 and still haven’t gotten any updates and it’s been passed the extra 60 days
Efiled Feb 1st, got a CP05 letter saying 60 days hold, then got another CP05 May 11, stating 60 more days...we have bills to pay with that refund. They hired a bunch of new agents, but seems it did'nt help.
My son and his family have been waiting since Feb. They received a letter in March/April then spoke to a rep and she said 120 days so that would be Aug/Sept?? This is sad. His taxes were accurate.
I received a 5071C letter from IRS in mail.. I followed instructions and was verified. On the IRS nothing has changed. Notice saying taxes are not processed and also there is no transcript for me to view.. Any advice?
Now I'm still here and I'm still waiting but now I kind of finally know why I'm still here and waiting after making a call to the IRS because my 60-day letter and time frame has come and gone. I was basically told by a representative that my employer listed the taxes took out of my pay incorrect. so they have to wait until the employer fixes that or social security fixes it so I'm pretty much going to be waiting the 120 days plus
I r s holding my tax returns since February just for stupid $1500 winning on slot gambling And waiting for casino to updates 1099 on the system it’s unbelievable
I contacted my congressman and it helped they got back with me in a week to let me know what’s going on I found out I need to do an amended tax return due to a fuel credit I had to remove
